Seattle!

I'm off to Seattle in about 10 hours. I will be gone for 10 GLORIOUS days! It looks as though I may be denied my foray onto foreign soil, but I'll live. Oh, Canada, will I never cross your borders?

I think I forgot to pack my flannel shirt, and I don't mean that in a "haha, grunge" kind of way. That shit is warm, yo, and I have been informed that I will be setting things on fire on a beach at night, and it could get nippy.

In summary- once I eat something and stop being a flailing freak, I meet wonderful people who do not roll their eyes when I wax rhapsodic about White Collar, Psych, Leverage, and the inherent RIGHTNESS of Neal/Peter/Elizabeth.

I want to go again. I have never experienced post-con letdown ON THE WAY TO MY CAR before. Everyone I met was awesome, and thank you for letting me babble incoherently in panels, or in, some cases, behind the booth at Dreampsinner.

I'll be at Con.txt this weekend, hanging out at the Dreamspinner and Torquere booths, in between panels on Psych, White Collar, Leverage, and anything else that vaguely hints at the bad guys being the good guys.

Balticon

We're home from Balticon, and while I generally hesitate to call something inspirational, I think that's what this weekend has been.

Just a few things-

-Our story, "The Balance of Silence", is actually being published by Samhain in the short novel category. Thus, I have indeed sold my first novel. It wasn't before I hit 30, but you know, I'm not 31 yet, so I'm calling it a win! It should be released in September. If I fall off the face of the earth in the meantime, someone sacrifice somethi...

Spacers rule!

And our new editor seems to think so, too! We have been offered a contract for the first novella in our Spacers universe, and more details will follow!

The Slipstream Con, set in the same universe, but with an entirely new host of characters, is still chugging away. It is The Little Novel That Will. (Hopefully, anyway!)

Project Pineapple (a not-even-working-title) has just clocked in over 14,000 words, and the plot and details of some of the characters are unfolding for us day by day.
