Scandalous Innocent – Juliet Landon

I wasn't sure what to expect from Scandalous Innocent. As a Mills and Boon book I knew it was going to be romantic, but it had also been touted as a bit saucy too – surprising as it's in support of The National Trust. The book has The National Trust's property, Ham House, as one of its settings and is selling it in many of its outlets, as well as more traditional book retailers.

When I started reading, I was impressed right away. Although the first part of the book is set in 1676 and the...

Single in the City – Michele Gorman

I took Single in the City to a spa with me and when I started reading it, I started to wish I hadn't. Brought it with me, that is, not started reading it. Reason being, just a few short pages, possibly even paragraphs, into the book and I was laughing. Out loud a couple of times. I quickly started to get funny looks from some of the patrons of the establishment. I ignored them and carried on reading, careful to bite my lip when I got to some more funny bits, of which there were plenty.

The...

Lord of Misrule: The Morganville Vampires Book Five – Rachel Caine

Lord of Misrule is the fifth book in The Morganville Vampires series by Rachel Caine. **spoiler alert** In the previous book, queen vampire Amelie's father had turned up. Mr. Bishop is one mean vampire, too. He makes ice cold Amelie look like a pussy cat. Sadly though, Bishop's return didn't signal an emotional family reunion. Bishop wants to take over Morganville, and if it means killing his daughter, he will. It's face off time.

Both Amelie and Bishop begin collecting followers as quickly...

Feast of Fools: The Morganville Vampires Book Four – Rachel Caine

Book Four of The Morganville Vampires and by now these books firmly have their fangs into me. Feast of Fools hots up the action in the Glass House once more with the arrival of Mr. Bishop, head vamp Amelie's father. Only the trouble is, Amelie isn't too pleased to see her daddy. She thinks that he plans to take over the town, even if it means killing her. It soon becomes apparent that this is true.

Morganville's generally an OK place to live as long as you abide by the rules and don't piss...

Totty Tuesday – Scott Speedman

3rd August 2010 – Another result of my vamp-fest is Mr. Speedman. He plays Michael Corvin, a part-vamp, part-werewolf type bloke in Underworld and Underworld: Evolution, also starring Kate Beckinsale and Bill Nighy.

He's been in tons of other stuff, but I've only ever seen him in these two films. And although I normally like the bad-ass type characters, he actually plays a really nice guy in the two films. He also has some pretty hot sex with Selene (Beckinsale) where you see a fair bit of...

Midnight Alley: The Morganville Vampires Book Three – Rachel Caine

Midnight Alley is book three in The Morganville Vampires series by Rachel Caine. **spoiler alert**

Michael Glass is now a vampire. And not everybody is happy about it, namely Shane. Despite the fact Michael had little choice, Shane is still being grumpy about it. However, for the moment Claire doesn't mind too much, because it's taking the heat off her and helping her hide the fact that she's sneaking around. The reason being that Claire has pledged herself to the queen vampire, Amelie, in...

The Dead Girls' Dance: The Morganville Vampires Book 2 – Rachel Caine

The Dead Girls' Dance is book number two of The Morganville Vampires. By now, we know many of the main characters, and they're getting to know each other a little better, too.

This novel follows directly on from the first. **spoiler alert**. At the end of the last book, Shane was at a loss as to how the residents of the Glass House were going to get out of their current scrape alive. So, he picked up his cell phone and called his dad. His psycho-scary vampire-hunter father. He didn't turn up i...

Call for Submissions – Uniform Behaviour

Steamy stories about men and women in uniform

Editor: Lucy Felthouse

Publisher: Um… me!

Deadline: 30th September 2010

Payment: To be determined – details below

I've wanted to edit an anthology for some time, but the right opportunity has never presented itself. So I thought, what the hell, I'll do it myself! And what better subject matter for this erotic anthology than uniforms? It's one of my favourite fantasies, and one I know many share.

I'm looking for ...
