Spirit Lovers – Various

Spirit Lovers is a collection of five erotic short stories based around the supernatural. The first, The Incubus Candle by Fulani is my favourite. Without giving two much away, Lauren inadvertently summons a couple of incubi, who are there to see to her every sexual need. And they certainly do that… I found this the most erotic of the stories due to the whole two-men-one-woman thing, and because the writing was so sensual. A great start to the anthology.

The other stories deal with beings...

The Greed Jar – Sommer Marsden

The Greed Jar is a contemporary story, but with a touch of the ancient myth about it. The protagonist, Alice, collects unusual items for a living. She's finally tracked down something she's been looking for for a while – The Greed Jar. Unfortunately, though, a less than savoury person has made off with it, and Alice and her assistant Jim take off to catch the thief. Trouble is, the thief has fallen under the jar's spell – which makes people insatiably greedy.

The greed isn't just for food...

Dead to the World – Charlaine Harris

Book number four in The Southern Vampire Mysteries, Dead to the World is my favourite so far. The action hots up in this novel when Sookie is driving home from work and she sees a naked vampire running by the side of the road. Most people would just drive by, but not Sookie. She stops, and the vampire she's picked up is Eric. Trouble is, he doesn't know he's Eric. He has no idea who he is, what he does, who Sookie is, or anything. His memory has been completely wiped. Luckily, he's aware...

Once Bitten – Lisette Ashton

As a fan of vampires and a fan of erotica, something combining the two is always going to be high on my to-read list. Once Bitten is no exception. I believe it's classed as a novel, but it's a fairly short novel. That's not a bad thing, the story fits well into its word count, any shorter and it'd have felt rushed, any longer and potentially it would have felt too padded out. The story is action packed from beginning to end.

It begins with Tessa having a lesbian encounter with her best...

The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner: An Eclipse Novella – Stephenie Meyer

When I heard that The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner: An Eclipse Novella (phew, the title is as long as her second life!) was going to be released, I was always going to buy it. I enjoyed the Twilight Saga and Eclipse was my favourite of the four books. As it was a good while ago when I last read the books, I barely remembered who Bree Tanner was, much less her fate, so I went into this novella with a fairly open mind.

I whizzed through this book in little over an hour and really enjoyed...

Club Dead – Charlaine Harris

Club Dead is book three in The Southern Vampire Mysteries. It begins with Bill, heroine Sookie's vampire boyfriend, taking a trip. He's on some top secret mission which he's not even allowed to tell Sookie about, and he implies it could be dangerous. When he's not back after a few days, Sookie fears the worst.

So, it appears, does his sexy boss Eric Northman. Soon, Sookie is taking another trip across country. This time she's off to Jackson, Mississippi. And so enters another supernatural...

Living Dead in Dallas – Charlaine Harris

Living Dead in Dallas is book number two in The Southern Vampire Mysteries, also known as the True Blood Novels. I'm reviewing all these books based purely on what's between the covers, without making any comparisons to the TV show.

By now, we're already getting familiar with the characters, their traits, who's good, who's bad, and so on. Enter Sookie, the telepathic waitress. She's just trying to live a normal life, despite the fact she's dating a vampire, something that doesn't go down too w...

Totty Tuesday – Misha Collins

15th June 2010 – Mmm? What? Oh sorry, I was distracted by those eyes. Lovely, aren't they? Fans of super-duper sexy scary show Supernatural will of course know already who this fella is. His name is Misha Collins, and he plays the angel Castiel in the show. And what a fab character he is, never fails to make me laugh. And it helps, of course, that he's gorgeous too.

Misha has also been in Nip/Tuck, CSI, ER and 24. None of which I've ever seen so this is why he's only recently come to my...

Sex Toy Review: Fun Factory SmartBalls Teneo Duo

The lovely lot at Sh! Women's Erotic Emporium sent me some love eggs/love balls to try out. And here they are: the Fun Factory SmartBalls Teneo Duo. Yes, quite the mouthful… but that's not where they go! ;)

No, these little babies are to put… well, up *there.* They have a couple of uses: they can tighten up your bits after childbirth; give you longer stronger orgasms; or they can make you feel a bit naughty. So really, they're capable of multi-tasking and will make you smile.

Some women wear...

Totty Tuesday – Alexander Skarsgard

1st June 2010 – My last but one Totty Tuesday gave me some food for thought, as did a couple of episodes of True Blood that I watched. After seeing him in very few clothes, I say hell-o to Alexander Skarsgard. Up until his appearance in True Blood, he was little-known in the English-speaking world. But now he's getting women all over the world hot under the collar!

Son to Stellan Skarsgard, who was absolutely ace in Mamma Mia, Alexander plays Eric Northman in True Blood. Because of where...
