Vampire Diaries: The Return: Shadow Souls – L. J. Smith
Kind of book four, but really book six (the first two books came as 2-in-1′s), Shadow Souls continues where the last book left off. **spoiler warning**
Stefan is imprisoned in the Dark Dimension due to the evil kitsune he and Damon got tangled up with. Elena and Damon must team up once more, along with friends Bonnie, Meredith and Matt, to get into the Dimension and find a way to free Stefan, before it's too late.
Elena is still sporting some crazy super-powers and she's slowly learning, with D...

Vampire Diaries: The Return: Nightfall – L. J. Smith
Vampire Diaries: The Return: Nightfall is the third book (though the first two both contain two 'parts') in the series. It begins as Elena has come back from the dead – again. She's no longer a vampire, but she's also no longer human. Trouble is, nobody seems quite sure what she is. She's temporarily forgotten everything and Stefan has to look after her as though she were a child. Somehow, Stefan knows that she will soon regain her memory and become more like the old Elena.
Stefan's right...

Vampire Diaries: The Fury and The Reunion – L. J. Smith
Naturally, once I started reading the Vampire Diaries books, I knew I wouldn't be able to stop until I'd read them all. This is book two, which confusingly contains two stories, which are The Fury and The Reunion. Please be aware this review will be full of spoilers… don't say I didn't warn you.
The Fury: Having died at the end of the last book, Elena is undergoing the change. She had exchanged enough blood with Stefan – willingly – and even more with Damon – against her will, to enable her...
A Change of Scene – Bimbo Ross
A Change of Scene is a short story by Bimbo Ross. It tells the story of Delia and David, a couple who have been together for a long while and have lost their sexual spark. Delia is seriously fed up with their relationship and starts to think she might want out. However, David comes home one evening to say that he's been offered a job in Sydney – which would obviously be a huge change for both of them, but may give their life the shake-up it needs.
Delia goes along with it, and once there...

Waiting in Vain – Charlotte Stein
Having read (and loved) Charlotte Stein's single-author anthology The Things That Make Me Give In, I already knew I was in for a good read when I started Waiting in Vain.
This tale revolves around Nancy, a bookish kind of girl who always gets invited to her brother's wife's family for Christmas, rather than spending it alone. She's never had the heart to refuse, and it's always been pleasant enough. This year, however, is different. Nancy's sister-in-law's brother, Mick Hennessey, is at his s...
Big and Beautiful – Various
Having really enjoyed Xcite's anthology Ultimate Curves, I had a sneaking suspicion that I'd like Big and Beautiful, too. And I was absolutely right.
This anthology contains five smutty Rubenesque stories from Elizabeth Coldwell, Alcamia Payne, Victoria Blisse, Ralph Greco and Viva Jones. Rarely do I read an anthology and like every single story in it, but this is an exception. Each tale is seriously sexy, and they're all different, too.
Elizabeth Coldwell's story is about a curvy lady who...

Dead Gorgeous – Toni Sands
Dead Gorgeous is the story of Fenella – or Nella, as she prefers to be called. Her best friend drags her along to a seance against her better judgement. She's completely skeptical about the whole communicating with the dead thing, so when she starts to feel the presence of Rory, her teenage crush, she's understandably confused. But she's having incredibly erotic experiences at completely random times, feeling hands touching her, smelling that familiar cologne. Soon, Nella can't deny that...

Dirtyville: 13 Tales Of Small Town Naughty – Various
Dirtyville is an anthology put together by the superb Sommer Marsden. It contains 13 super-short smutty stories from the likes of Sommer Marsden (of course), Scarlett Greyson, Alison Tyler, Cora Zane, Jeremy Edwards, Heidi Champa and Angela Caperton.
Naturally, because there are 13 different authors, you end up with 13 very different stories. The theme is small towns and what's happening behind those closed doors. The tales range from guys giving their first blow jobs, to swingers groups, to d...

The Point – Victoria Blisse
The action begins right away in Victoria Blisse's vampire novella, The Point. The word cunt appears in the very first sentence. Quite an effort. The cunt in question belongs to a prostitute that vampire Hugh is having sex with; just before he bites her neck and sucks her blood.
This story is the first in what will hopefully be a nice long series. It introduces Hugh, who owns vampire bar The Point. We're told a little of his past and a little of his present. Then Elizabeth comes along...
