Dead Until Dark – Charlaine Harris

I'm going to review this book without drawing any comparison to the TV show based on it, True Blood.

Dead Until Dark is the first book in The Southern Vampire Mysteries, written by Charlaine Harris. They're based around a character called Sookie Stackhouse, who's described a small-time cocktail waitress in small-town Louisiana.

You find out very quickly when reading this book that Sookie has an attitude. Not a bad one, as such, she's just very feisty. She's had to be, due to circumstances in h...

Apartment 16 – Adam Nevill

Having read and really enjoyed Adam Nevill's previous horror novel, Banquet for the Damned, I really looked forward to getting my hands on this one.

Apartment 16 is set mainly in Barrington House, an upmarket block in London. It's in a very rich area and is full of loaded and eccentric inhabitants. Seth is the new night watchman and after a few shifts, he starts hearing noises coming from an apartment. Nothing unusual, you might think, except the apartment has been empty for fifty years. Seth ...

Totty Tuesday – John Corbett

24th May 2010 – I'd actually forgotten all about this hottie until I saw the Sex and the City 2 trailer when I went to the cinema on Saturday night. This is John Corbett, who played Aidan, Carrie's boyfriend in Sex and the City. And the good news is, ladies, that he's back in the second film! I always thought she should have stuck with him over Mr. Big, he's much sexier! Or at least he is on screen… I had quite the struggle to find a hot photo of him – there are lots of him being rather the c...

The Adulteress – Noelle Harrison

The Adulteress is a story told from duel viewpoints. Nicholas has left his cheating wife and moved to rural Cavan, with no real idea how he's going to live or keep the house going. But the house seems to speak to him, and he discovers that there is a spirit present. It is the spirit of June Fanning, a woman who used to live in the house and whose presence emanates regret. She wants to tell Nicholas a story, the story of an adulteress. Trouble is, it's the last thing he wants to hear after...

Product Review: Whiz Freedom

Not my usual kind of product review, I know, but nevertheless I think women will love the Whiz Freedom. You see, it's a gadget that means you can whiz/wee/pee/urinate/whatever-word-you-use in public without getting your bottom out.

Sh! Women's Erotic Emporium sent it to me to test out – along with some more erotic items which I shall review at a later date.

Basically, you hold the Whiz firmly against your lady parts and let your tinkle go. It's great for people who go walking and camping, and e...

Sex Toy Review: Ann Summers Rampant Rabbit G-Pulse Remote

I'm lucky (or should that be mucky) enough to have been chosen by Ann Summers to get an exclusive sneak preview of their latest Rampant Rabbit! Not released until 7th June 2010, the Rampant Rabbit G-Pulse Remote claims to be the ultimate rabbit experience.

I don't have images to post at the moment, unfortunately, but it looks similar to the original Rampant Rabbit G-Pulse. The base is a different colour and this version comes with a remote control! As well as the remote, the new addition to...

The Great Outdoors – Now Available on Smashwords.com!

19th May 2010 – Exciting news – my mini-book, The Great Outdoors, is available now on Smashwords.com! Containing two erotic short stories based around the outdoors, the eBook is just $3.99, which works out at roughly £2.70!

Just to get you in the mood, here's a small sample of what to expect when you (hopefully) buy your copy:

Now Karla was truly dumbfounded. Here she was, relaxing after a busy week at work and trying to forget her troubles – or rather lack of them – with the opposite sex...

Random Acts of Lust – Primula Bond

Primula Bond has been in the erotica business for some years. Amongst her successes are three books; Behind the Curtain, Club Creme and Country Pleasures. Previously published by Black Lace and Nexus, Primula's latest outing, Random Acts of Lust comes from Xcite Books.

Random Acts of Lust is a single author anthology, packed full of steamy stories to get your pulse and naughty parts a-racing. Each story is a different scenario, but some have recurring characters. The tales include naughty...

Totty Tuesday – Ian Somerhalder

18th May 2010 – Hello, ladies! I'd like to introduce everyone's favourite vampire. Well, maybe not favourite vampire, but he's definitely among my top ones. Perhaps that's a list for another day…

Anyway, I give you Ian Somerhalder. Currently in the limelight – certainly in my house – for his role in Vampire Diaries, Ian is pretty hot. It's taken me a while to make up my mind about him – he's almost too good-looking, but I've finally decided that he's yummy. Of course it helps that his...

Husbands and Lies – Susy McPhee

Another new author for me, Susy McPhee is a gem. Husbands and Lies is a book which deals with several very difficult topics, among the hardest people go through in their lives, and yet still manages to put a smile on your face.

Fran, the main character in the book, is having a tough time of it at the moment. Her best friend in the world, Alison, is terminally ill. So between her high-powered job and hospital visits, Fran doesn't have much time for her husband, Max, and daughter Lottie...
