Danger....Danger.... I am unsupervised
Okay, so late at night and I am extremely sleepy and yet, I can't sleep. So here I am talking to you beautifully lovely people. What do I want to talk about? I don't rightly know, but I'll know when I get there. Lemme see, politics? Nah, don't know the first thing about them and I don't like stirring that proverbial pot, so MOVING ON.
Global warming. . . I care about it. I do the best i can to conserve water, etc.. . It's summer in my area so, yep it's awfully warm so, is that Global warming? So moving on
I watched Fast 6. . . TWICE. Yes I am a dork and I tell ya'll something, I'd go see it again! I love those movies... And no it's not because of the beautiful hunks decorating the screen on just about every scene.... It's also not because of the rippling abs or the bulging. . . biceps. . . or the beautiful eyes or the oh so delicious deep gravely voice. . . wait what was I talking about, oh right. The movie. Lol... anyhow, I honestly love this series because of the fuel driven adrenaline rush it provides! :)
I haven't seen the Lone Ranger yet but really want to because Johnny is my favorite actor. Well since we are speaking of actors, I'm going to give you a list of mine. I don't know how long this actual list will be but, eh, who cares, it's 1am. Number one is my favorite and so on and on and on!!!
1. Johnny Depp
1. Vin Diesel
1. Norman Reedus
1. John Travolta
1. Ian Somerhalder
1.Brad Pitt (Legand of the Fall- era)
2. John Magliano
3. Alexander Skars-something or another... Eric from True Blood
4. I'm sure there are others, but right now I'm losing focus with this topic. . . MOVING ON
There were some interesting folks that came by my house the other day. They were trying to give me a new coat. I didn't really want it but they insisted. I was pleasantly surprised at the fit, because it helped me embrace my self. I call it my hug me jacket!!!!! (think about it. . . think about it. . . THERE YA GO!!! YOU'RE THERE NOW)
SORRY ABOUT all the terrible punctuation, but I'm having a hard time dotting my t's and crossing my eyes at the moment. It's after one am.... pffft crossing my eyes... I just got that!!! he he he!!!
Any who. . .
Creaking doors seriously freak me out. I dunno why either. One too many scary movies I suppose. And for the love of all that is holy, can SOMEBODY PLEASE tell me why
1. the chick is always trying to escape her killer/bad guy in 6" heels. . . Seriously heffir take of the flippin shoes.
2. Why do they always, ALWAYS go upstairs?
3. When they hear something in the kitchen that the KNOW DOESN'T SOUND RIGHT, why do they say "Hellllllo?" Seriously?
Mk, I'm finally about to zonk out. So, remember a few things guys! Life is full of rotten things, people, ideas, and evil. Try to laugh every now and then! I promise, laughing will make you feel better, if only for a few moments. That's what I've been trying to do my entire life. I hope I helped someone have a better day!
XOXOXOXOXOXO

The fantabulous T.R Stoddard
Okay guys I want you to welcome the freaking amazingly talented T.R Stoddard! I've read the synopsis for this book and it's going to be going on my reading list (closer to the top) I first want to apologize to T.R because I was supposed to have this blog spot done sooner and I dropped the ball majorly on this!!!!!!!!! So I hope ya'll will give her a shout out and stop by her page and show her some made love!!!! Now, lets take a look at T.R and find out who exactly she is!!!
T.R. Stoddard is the author of her own wild imagination.
Psychological thrillers and unique young adult fiction are her forte,
but she hopes to one day make a contribution to each major genre.
Stoddard has two novels and one short story currently in circulation,
and spends her free time creating more. She lives in Orlando, Fl with
her boyfriend and their rescue dog Harry PAWter.
Let's take a little peek inside her book Dark Hearts
Title:
Dark Hearts
Genre:
New Adult
Blurb:
If
you are an angst-ridden teenager with illusions of romantic death,
there is a place for you to call home. A chat room full of bleeding
brains and bleeding veins, Dark Hearts, offers a place for damaged
souls to find others who share their misery. Unfortunately, on the
fringes of the suicidal society, a killer lurks.
Six
young souls that fall in love with death, the lure of blood, and the
search of release find themselves drawn into a twisted killer’s
game in the anonymity of the Dark Heart’s chat room.
The
Players:
Kara
(aka Bloody_butterfly) ~ 15/f/VA ~ The sad product of an absent
father, a drunken mother, a life full of torment, seeks a reason to
end it. Weapon of choice: Razor blade.
Sara
(aka Decaying_rose) ~ 17/f/FL ~ Abandoned by her perfect family, aims
to drown in her own misery, yearns for a pact that ends in forever.
Weapon of choice: Narcotics and alcohol.
Lucy
(aka Lifelexx) ~ 17/f/VA ~ Trailer trash country girl with a pension
for sexual compulsion and blood. Weapon of choice: Anything
sharp.
Sammy
(aka StarryBlade) ~ 18/f/CA ~ Writer, dreamer, college girl, and
unlucky enough to land where she doesn’t belong.
Cherry
(aka LifeBlood) ~ 25/f/CA ~ Sexually abused, gun packing, revenge
junky.
Adam
(aka Shadows_of_my_soul, aka DarkDreamer) ~ 21/m/anywhere ~ Artist,
creep, procurer of broken beauties, searching for the one to heal the
hole death left behind.
Twenty-one
year old Adam trolls the Dark Heart chat room in search of a real
connection. Scarred from watching his high school sweetheart succumb
to depression and finally bleed out in front of his eyes, he is on
the search for retribution.
Sixteen-year-old
Kara Watson is a depressed girl from a broken home. Seeking love in
all the wrong places, she turns to the anonymity of the internet in a
desperate plea for attention to soothe her low self-esteem. Instead
of finding the boy of her dreams in Dark Hearts, she becomes an
unknowing participant in the hunting ground for predators.
Adam
spends weeks building the illusion of love between him and Kara
through their chats. As she falls in love he prepares to end a life.
A fight with her best friend and the advances of a creepy stalker
presents Adam with the opportunity he has been waiting for. Kara is
desperate to be saved but when she calls on Adam to play the role of
her hero she seals the fate of her young life, death.
Russian
roulette is a deadly game of chance but Adam has the odds stacked in
his favor when he plays to Kara’s morbid obsessions and pre-written
suicide note. A shot rings out and a girl lays dead as the monster
disguised as a lover escapes into the night. The perfect murder, no
one will doubt a broken, suicidal girl has given into her own
madness.
Kara’s
death leaves Adam reeling with thoughts of the girlfriend he lost and
the exhilaration of taking a life calls him deeper into the game.
Posing as Kara, Adam creates a suicide pact with Sara, tying up his
loose ends. Ready to find his next willing prey, Adam lurks in the
Dark Hearts chat room where he meets Lifelexx. Within hours she
invites him into her cramped, dirty trailer where she plays her final
game of Russian roulette.
Death
and art are the only things that keep Adam going, until Sammy logs
into his life. Adam hopes to make the torment of his deadly thoughts
a thing of the past and Sammy his future. The plan is to drive across
the country and his problems will be forgotten once he is by her
side.
Sammy
greets him with open arms, and for the first time in a long time Adam
feels as if he has finally come home. Life as a couple seems perfect
until Adam’s thirst for blood rears its ugly head yet again. He
rationalizes that he can quench the desire for death with one last
kill. While Sammy is at school, Dark Hearts presents him with Cherry,
the perfect Victim.
Adam
is on top of the world as he prepares to meet the unlucky young lady
at a seedy hotel. Fire-truck red curls cascaded around a pretty
heart-shaped face, and wrapped tightly in leather welcomes him.
Cherry is more than he bargained for.
Unbeknownst
to Adam, Cherry is death. Two killers and one dirty motel bed leaves
Adam at the end of the barrel in his last game of Russian roulette
and it is game over for him. Cherry rides off into the night with the
murder weapon cozily stashed in her thigh high boot and tomorrow’s
vigilante is born.
Seriously guys... why are you still sticking around here... go out and buy it already... sheesh It's only $.99

Now lets see what she listened too while she was in the world she was creating...
Music
is a huge part of my writing process. I have millions of ideas, at
least it seems that way, vying for attention while I write. If a song
can capture the feeling of the idea, it helps to keep me focused and
grounded in that environment. Dark Hearts is an edgier novel with
themes of depression, self-harm, eating disorders, and suicide.
Naturally, I didn't find upbeat music resonated with the novel or its
characters. There are plenty of endearing moments snaked within its
pages, but they came naturally. No mood-setting needed.
Funny
enough, music played such a huge part in this novel that I had the
playlist on the first page right under the title. I opted not to keep
it that way, but I would love to tell you what each song meant to me
during the process. I kept the list on shuffle, so the order isn't
super important. I would listen to most of the song in every area of
the book.
Damaged
by Assemblage 23:
First of all...I love love love this song.
The
beginning of the song sums up Kara's world. She lives with an
alcoholic mother and an absent father, living third in her mother's
eyes to the bottle and men. “I am merely the product of the life
that I lived. An amalgam of sorrows and the wisdom they give. But the
weight has grown heavy and it's dragging me down.”
30k
ft by Assemblage 23:
This
song sums up unfinished words, things left unsaid. While the theme of
this song is more uplifting than the overall theme of Dark hearts, it
is fitting at the same time.
Disappoint
by Assemblage 23:
This
song takes on suicide from the survivors' perspective. I felt that
was much needed.
Swing
Life Away by Rise Against:
“Let's
compare scars and I'll tell you who's worse.” Self explanatory.
Bother
by Stone Sour:
“I
wish I was too dead to cry, self affliction fades.” Kara cuts to
try to get through the pain, all the while wishing for death. Until
that special person enters her life. The right person can give you
hope, the wrong person can kill it forever.
Russian
Roulette by Rihanna:
This
song plays a huge part in Dark Hearts, but you'll have to read to
find out how.
Breathe
Me by Sia:
The
breathy, airy, sad quality of this song made for a long time on
repeat. These kids are looking for friends, looking for help.
Sometimes they get more than they bargained for.

GIDDY
Okay, so there has been a lot of crap and drama going on lately, but I am really the type of person that after I blow my top about something, I cool off and move on. I try to find the happy in every setting. My first big signing wasn't a complete bust, even thought I never received my books. I met some amazing people at the Expo and had a blast doing it.
However, today was awesome. I can officially say my books are in a place of business. Squeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!! :) this makes me happy, oh so happy! :-) But anyhow. Things are kind of all over the place right now and my blog is a mess, but keep checking back because there are going to be some awesome author spots coming up soon. :)
there's the proof guys!!!!!!!!! LOOOOOOOKY I'm all official and junk :D it looks amazing.

a few ways to beat the heat
Okay, so summer has finally made it here!!! And honestly, I HATE IT!!!! lol... You will never, EVER hear me say anything during winter about wishing it was warm. No thanks!!! So I've thought about some ways to help everyone 'beat the heat.'
1.) DO NOT GO OUT SIDE!!!
Simple fix.. Stay inside in the cool air, sip your lemonade, mojoitos, iced tea or whatever drink you prefer. This suggestion works on several levels...
a.) No sun burn
b.) Don't get hot
c.) Don't have to deal with the danged bugs
Easy fix
2.) If you feel yourself in desperate need to be in the big out doors DRINK PLENTY OF WATER

it is ALWAYS IMPORTANT TO REMAIN HYDRATED.
3.) Rleax and don't over do it. Sun stroke sucks.

4.) Park it in front of a fan!!!!!

it may blow warm air but at least its moving the air around...
5.) Buy a kiddie pool! They're only like $10 at some places!!!

6.) ICE... LOTS AND LOTS OF ICE! Ice cream, snow cones, and. . .

well. . . i suppose that works as well.
7.) Find somewhere to relax and read a good book!!!

These "ways" are only meant for fun and in no way shape or form are meant to be taken seriously. (except maybe for the reading a good book part) I hope everyone has a fun and safe summer. Free to check out my fan page at www.facebook.com/ChristineJameswrites

Gifted and lovely Mrs. Sj Mcmillian
So I had a little sit down with the very talented Sj Mcmillian. I'm proud to say that she's from my home state of Missouri so I will do what I can to help get the word out about her! Check it out!!!
In
700 A.D. Teotihuacan, Mexico, the High Priest believed himself to be
a powerful as the gods. He set a plague on the city as a
demonstration of his power. The Gods took pity on the remaining loyal
congregation. They granted each survivor immortality and an
extraordinary ability. Three loyal survivors were given a mission of
great importance: train the lone human descendant of their
civilization to stop the evil from damning the rest of humanity.
Now
in San Diego, California, the time has come to finally make Katalina
Deckard aware of her destiny. Her life has been a constant struggle
since the loss of her parents when she was young. These struggles
have made her a fighter, but she doesn’t believe they have prepared
her to save the world. Her friends, who have survived for so long,
must convince her that she has what it takes to accept the mantle of
the Redeemer.
hmmmmm don't know bout'chall, but I'm looking forward to checking this out!!!! Now.... Let's meet S.J!!!!
I
live in southwest Missouri with my husband of 15 years and our three
children. I work as an administrative assistant during the week. Now
I get to add published author to my list of roles I play in life.
Being
an author was not my first career choice. In my younger years I
wanted to be a dancer, but dance lessons are expensive. I also wanted
to be Dolly Parton from The Best Little Whore House in Texas. I could
really belt out Itty Bitty Piss Ant Country Place, just ask my
parents former neighbors.
After
a slew of other interesting job choices, I just couldn’t shake the
writing bug I picked up in high school. I started writing poetry and
still write a poem whenever inspiration hits me. I also love to read,
especially paranormal romances and urban fantasies. The love of
reading is what spawned the desire to try my hand as writing a novel
of my very own.
I
love creating the characters and giving them their own personalities
and voices. I have also come to enjoy writing fight scenes. The
hubster (the wonderful man that he is) will act them out with me so I
know exactly how I need to show it to the audience. Call us crazy if
you like, but it’s really fun to act out a scene using a broom
handle as a spear and a foam baseball bat as an axe.
Gawsh, this woman is halrious... if you don't believe me... check out the facts about her. . . and her guest post!!!

Random Facts about SJ McMillan
Most,
if not all you wonderful readers, don’t know me from any other
author. So sit back, relax, and hopefully enjoy the randomness you
are about to read through.
My
favorite words are awesome and shiznit. If I say something is
awesome or the shiznit, that’s as good as it gets. It is my
epitome of epic.
I
don’t know my natural hair color. I started dying my hair in high
school when someone said it looked like my hair was grey. I’ve
been a blonde, a red head, and a brunette. I’m working up the
courage to try an awesomely funky color like blue, pink, or purple.
I
bite my nails, just so I can wear those fake nails with all the
awesome designs on them. They are the shiznit!
I
love wearing glasses. They hide the bags under my eyes from lack of
sleep and age.
I’m
a lefty! Southpaws are awesome!
I
have conversations with myself. I’ve gotten into arguments with
myself. And I’ve stopped talking to myself, but I always forgive
myself, and the makeup sex is the shiznit!
I
have a big smile…and big teeth…and big eyes…why didn’t the
bigness drop down to my chesticles?
I’ve
been married to my hubster for 14 years, 93 days, 21 hours, 19
minutes, and 12 seconds…but who’s counting?
I
have 3 awesome kids who are good looking, entertaining, and way
smarter than me. Just ask them…
I
like lists…reading them, writing them, doing the things on them,
etc.
And
there you have it, 10 random factiods about SJ McMillan. I hope you
enjoyed them.
Shout
to the awesome Christine for allowing me to take over today. You’re
the shiznit!
Awww thanks sweets, your the shiznit as well. . . . he he he I love the chesticles part (say that frequently) so now. . . who wants to sneak a peek inside her book!? Hmm? She's been kind enough to give us a juicy little nibblet to sink our teeth into. Check it out!!!
“Who did this?”
Tristan asked quietly, almost more to himself than to Kat.
“Probably that
bastard Ryan. He is going to pay for every last thing he demolished,”
Kat replied, assuming Tristan was speaking about the chaos throughout
the rest of the house. She stepped forward and looked around the room
once more. It was then that she noticed the black flowers sitting on
her dresser. Kat walked over and pulled the small white card from
them. She opened the envelope to reveal a card with a beautiful
picture of the same flower in white. Tristan came to stand behind her
as she opened the card. It was a simple message, but one she would
not soon forget.
I am coming for
you.
Tristan plucked the
card from her hand and reread it. Kat stood frozen in place, shocked
and confused. Her mind raced with unanswerable questions. Who
was coming for her? What did they want from her? Was this actually
some sick joke Ryan was playing or was someone really coming to get
her?
Her stomach churned and her head began to pound. She doubled over in
pain while fear of the unknown trespasser flooded her brain. It was
all too overwhelming.
Kat hugged her arms
around her stomach. Her legs gave out and she fell to her knees on
the floor. A cold sweat broke on her forehead. Kat was almost glad
when black spots started to swim in her vision. She tried to ask
Tristan for help, but she could not find her voice. Dizziness
engulfed her, and she felt herself begin to fall the rest of the way
to the floor. Tristan caught her just before her head and the floor
collided. She could barely hear his concerned voice calling her name
as the blackness surrounded her.
“Katalina, open
your eyes.” Tristan shook her a bit, hoping she would regain
consciousness. Sabine and Vivian had heard the commotion, rushed into
the room, and directly to Kat’s side. To Tristan’s great relief,
Katalina’s eyes opened a crack, enough to see the intensely harsh
gaze she gave him. Tristan looked to the girls, who looked equally
surprised by her reaction.
“Katalina?”
Tristan questioned.
“Leave her alone,”
Katalina responded and her nearly black eyes closed once again.

In

Shout

The fantabulous Tasha Gwrtney
Hey guys, I'd like to introduce you to a the hilarious and very talented Tasha Gwartney.
Tasha Gwartney is a Military wife
and devoted momma to a handsome little man by day. At night she drops
her domestic goddess cloak and becomes an aspiring author. She lives
in Central Louisiana with her family and two huskies. Tasha has been
writing poetry and short stories since she was ten years of age.
There wasn’t ever a time when a story plot wasn’t found somewhere
in her head. Tasha has had several of her poems published. She is
looking forward to publishing many more novels as well.
Her first
Novel entitled Fated Truth (Book one in The True Witch Saga) is
currently published through MHP. It is due to become live in kindle
and paperback in Winter 2013
Tasha has always enjoyed bringing
the worlds that begin inside her head to the minds of others.
. . . and now, a little bit from Tasha!
I started writing short stories when
I was about ten years old. I would print them out on the sides of
worksheets in school, basically write them on anything that was handy
when the idea would pop up in my head. My elementary teachers would
tell me to stop because it was disruptive and not pertaining to the
subject that I was so post to be learning at the time.
All the way through school I wrote.
My short stories got longer and I branched out into poetry. Some of
my school teachers encouraged me to write. They even said they liked
some of my work. But it wasn’t until I was a junior in High School
that it really hit me that I wanted to do this. I wanted to write and
reach people. To put the stories that were bouncing against the walls
of my mind down on paper, and teleport someone into my own private
world.
My Science teacher caught me writing
a poem on the back of a test during class one day. That was a HUGE
no-no in his class. You did not get side tracked. It was one of his
major pet peeves. Well he asked me to stay after class that day and I
was literally shaking in my platform boots. He was majorly hard on
people that ticked him off during his classes. Come to find out, I
wasn’t in trouble. He wanted to talk to me about the poem that he
had read on the back of my end of term test. He asked if he could
give it to his wife for their anniversary. I was so happy that I
wasn’t in trouble that I quickly said yes then shot from the room.
The poem that I had wrote on the
back of that test was about love and loss. I had read a novel the
night before really touched me. You have to remember I was sixteen. I
was a teen that knew nothing of truly feeling emotions of love on
this deep a level. But the novel I read the night before had me
enthralled. I fell into the main character and felt every emotion
that she felt, celebrated her every triumph, and cried her tears when
she lost the man she loved. That was how I was able to write a poem
on the back of a test that touched even my grouchy Science teacher.
After that I wanted to be that
author that transported readers and made them feel every emotion that
the characters feel. That is why I write. Thanks for listening to my
ramblings.

The Chosen Chronicles: Risen
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Erin could
see him standing across the street, looking dashing in a tuxedo and a
broad smile. He held out his hand, beckoning her. She stepped down
off the curb but something caught her eye. Looking down, she saw she
was wearing a beautiful red satin gown that shimmered beautifully in
the pale street light. The strapless bodice fit snugly, pushing up
her ample chest, while the bottom fanned out gracefully in waves. On
her feet was a pair of matching red heels with thin straps and
sparkling rhinestones. Never before had she felt so beautiful.
She went
into his arms with ease and he swept her along the street, dancing
and twirling around to softly lilting music. He held her close, her
body fitting to his easily. She could feel his heart beating steadily
against hers. The same smell from earlier seemed so much stronger
than before. His eyes were such a light shade of gray, they were
almost transparent. Dense fog swirled around their legs as they
twirled and moved as one.
Then
something changed and they were no longer dancing. She was standing
in the middle of the street alone, wearing her pajamas. Somewhere a
streetlight began to flicker eerily. The light made the fog appear
bluish white and very sinister. Erin looked around, frantically
searching for Angelo. She found him standing at the entrance of the
fairgrounds. He no longer wore the tux. Even in the darkness she
could see his eyes were no longer shimmering silver but dark gray
bordering on black. His hair was pulled back tightly and his once
beautiful face had turned stone cold and dangerous. He wore a black
t-shirt tucked neatly into a pair of black cargo pants. The pants
resembled the style that she’d seen paramedics wearing. The bottoms
of the pants were tucked tightly into a pair of snugly laced,
slightly worn, combat boots. Something glistened in his hand. It
appeared to be a long blade that glistened in the dim light. Erin
began to slowly back away but he moved toward her. She could see he
was saying something but couldn’t make out the words.
When she
blinked they were no longer standing in the middle of the street but
in the center of a meadow surrounded by trees. The loud sound of
beating wings came from somewhere behind her. Briefly she thought of
a horror movie where everything was in slow motion. She tried to run
but her feet felt as if they were encased in concrete. Slowly she
turned. The sound of beating wings stirred the cold night air around
her. When she looked up, huge black wings angled toward her. She
tried to scream but the smell of sulfur was suffocating. Angry red
eyes glared down at her and pain suddenly sliced through her body.
She tried
frantically to get away, silently willing her feet to move. She had
to get away from the wings and the blinding pain but the pain only
intensified with each movement. Erin could smell something foul over
the stinging scent of sulfur and she realized it was the unmistakable
smell of burning flesh. She looked down and realized it was her
flesh that was burning. She screamed as her sweats began to melt to
her legs.
“Someone,
help me!” she screeched and the answer she received was an angry
hiss.
Erin sagged
to the ground in pain as the flames raged over her lower body; she
could hear the harsh sound of metal clanging against metal. Another
shrill hiss and screech sliced through the night and soon the
flapping noise was gone. Everything was cast into silence.
Books I recommend
Okay so I'm going to list a few books that I've read that I feel that
are worth mentioning. Today's market is so inundated with vampires,
werewolves, witches OH MY that it is becoming increasingly hard to find a
book that keeps my interest for very long. Especially if it has the
same theme, plot, or otherwise 'typical' tale. Don't get me wrong, I've
read some very sweet typical YA novels and they are good! In fact
there will be one particular series I will be mentioning a little bit
later.
NOW
keep in mind, these are my personal faves that I've read over the
course of this year and in no way shape or form do intend to impress my
views or opinions on you. Take it how you will. My cup of tea may
taste like rancid swamp water to others. So shall we get this
started?! I think we shall.
The series name: EXPERIMENT IN TERROR.
Karina Halle is currently my new fave indie author at the moment. Her characters are not of the cookie cutter variety. They are flawed, damaged, and beautiful in all their insecurities. Dark House (seen above) is the first book in this series. At first I wasn't sure if I wanted to pursue it but I thought what the heck, it looks different. I'm so glad I did, BECAUSE this isn't about vampires at all, or werewolves or the like. But. . . . . well I just suggest you check it out. I don't think you'll be sorry. This book had me on the edge of my seat. BUT with that being said, it may start out a little slow but it is laying the ground work for the entire series! They keep getting better with each book! I felt so exhausted after reading them due to the fact that the emotional roller coaster ride I'd just taken zapped me like lightning. I was laughing at the snarky quips and glib remarks between the two main characters, and I was later crying because of the heart wrenching agony they endured. So check out Experiment in Terror: Dark House OH!!!!!! AND it's currently free on amazon right now~~~ :-) ****This series is NOT, and I REPEAT NOT a YA book. There is graphic language and other mature content.****
Moving on. . . .
A Just Breathe Novel: Inhale
So what self respecting female doesn't secretly harbor a desire for a bad boy rock star, oh and an Australian one to boot. I love a man with a good foreign accent, and the Aussie accent is my all time favorite! I mean seriously, I could listen to an Australian talk all day long and not get bored. He could be spouting numbers or answering a phone for all I care, as long as I get to listen. Anyhow, I digress. Inhale by Kendall Grey took me completely by surprise. The devotion and time she spent doing research, alone was astounding. Her characters are also flawed and touching. This book has a bad boy Aussie Rock star that I can see and hear very clearly. This is a paranormal book HOWEVER, I have NEVER read a book remotely close to this. There aren't ghosts, vamps, or whatever else is blowing up the literary waters these days. This series is all about dreams, and I mean that quite literally. You'll just have to check it out to see what I mean. :-) In hale is the first book in the Just Breathe saga. I strongly suggest you dive into this series. But with that said. Read carefully because it can get a little confusing in some places. THIS BOOK IS ALSO FREE ON AMAZON RIGHT NOW~but don't stop with just this one! You've got to read all three :-)
**** Adult content and graphic language. Not a Y/A novel.***
Blood Rose is a brand new book by a brand new author, Jacquelynn Gagne. Now, this book does have vampires in it, but they are done in such a way, you forget they are vampires. I loved this book because the lead protag was beautifully damaged, buried under layers of insecurities and issues. There are several layers in this book, waiting to be peeled back and revealed. And it's the kind of book that keeps you on the edge the entire time!!!! I loved this book beginning to end and am anxiously awaiting the next book of ~~The Blood Saga~~~ Show your love for the new author and spread the word. She's up and coming ladies and gents, I suggest ya watch out for her!!! YOU WON'T BE SORRY!!!!!!!!!!
***This book is NA Paranormal with moderate language and graphic violence.***
The Premonition Series: Inescapeable
The Premonition Series: Inescapable
This is book one in this series...I was instatntly pulled into this series because of the cover. When people say "Don't Judge a book by it's cover" that's wrong. We judge books on their covers frequently, after all, if it's pleasing to the eyes then it's likely to be pleasing to the mind. Well that's not always the case though. BUT I'm glad to report that this isn't the case with this series. At first it felt like your run of the mill vampire novel and I was like ugh really? Another college bound chick falling for a vampire, ugh, no thanks. I was pleasantly surprised. Not a vampire in site, but something much, MUCH more different. I found myself being pulled into this series very, very quickly. The characters are loveable and even one of the villains, later in the series, makes it hard to remember he is a villain. Check this series out. ***It is a YA book with very mild language**
THE FINAL BOOK I'M LISTING FOR THE DAY.
The Coincidence of Callie & Kayden . . .
The coincidence of Callie & Kayden
My
heart actually hurt for these two as I read this book. Sometimes it is simply nice to read
a book without supernatural aspects. Jessica has provided us with some amazing paranormal stories before and I was worried that this book would be lacking. It delivered Awesomely. The damage of these two characters (both physically and emotionally) is so intense
it almost hurt. I don't often tear up when I read, but this time I did.
Well done, and I look forward to the next book.
This book is currently on sale now at Amazon for $1.99
There are several more books I can list, but I don't really have the time to list all of those. These are the ones that have stuck out the most to me in the past few months~~~~ Thanks for looking and keep checking back. If you have something you want me to blog about send me an email, and I will do the best I can. christinejames28@ymail.com. Thanks guys, you are awesome...
