So, How many of you are fans of The Mortal Instruments (jumps up and down, throwing hands in the air-pick me! pick me!)? I came across the newest book cover yesterday on Instagram. CITY OF HEAVENLY FIRE: THE MORTAL INSTRUMENTS #6, who wouldn't want to read a book named that? And if you loved Christine's Risen & Bloodlines, I bet you would love, love this series (if you haven't read them already, & don't watch the movie first, they completely slaughtered it). So I wanted to give all you a taste of what's to come in the world of Shadowhunters.

As I lost myself in these sick thoughts, wishing I could go back and never see Peter at the bar that fateful night, the floorboards near the bedroom door let out a soft creak.             My ears pinned back and the hairs on the back of my neck stood up. A soft, familiar fragrance wafted into the room.             I could feel my heartbeat against my temples, the organ drumming against my rib cage as I lay stiff as a board in bed.             The floor moaned under the weight of a pair of slowly shuffling feet.             I could smell that familiar stench of warm vomit and perfume mixed together.            That rattling breathing. It was drawing closer, closer. With each passing second and each sickly wheeze.             I squeezed my eyes shut and tried to keep my wits. Even as I stared at the back of my eyelids, I could feel those black, endless eyes staring into me. A chill ran down my spine and my flesh broke out in goose bumps.            The foot of the mattress sagged. I could feel the coils tighten up around my waist as the weight moved forward, closer to the head of the bed. It sounded as if she were breathing through a dried corn husk. The stench of vomit gave way to a thick blanket of mold as a cold hand lay across my thigh. My bladder was dangerously close to releasing.

Bio: CL has lived all over the world & has a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, minoring in Psychology & Forensics. Hey Guys

Soooo...like Christine said there are some changes coming and one of them being is me. Who am I? Well my name is Melissa, but that sounds to formal so everyone I know calls me 'Mel'. I have known Christine since I was pretty much in diapers, we both grew up on farms about a mile apart. We both went our own ways, and lost touch, our parents were closer than us kids. Later on her husband ended up being my manager (at the time I didn't know it was her hubby) & it wasn't till a Christmas party that I recognized her (I even had to ask my Mom, to make sure she was the same Christine I remembered). So now I am helping her as much possible, hence taking over her blog. But don't get your panties in a bunch ;) You will still hear from Christine herself. She is just getting super busy with her new book release and writing more (yay!), so here I am to help out. I will keep you informed on anything new with Christine (book signings, releases & such). Along with that I will be giving you guys some other books you might want to read, along with my reviews (and trust me, I have really good taste in books so you don't want to know miss it) and Christine has set up a new tab called 'Unique Designz' if you was wondering what that is it's for Jewelry that I handmade. I usually sell at Craft Shows & on Etsy but now you will be able to buy on here also (as soon as I get it setup).
So watch out for much more to be coming this year =)


Here are a few random things about myself, so you can get to know me better:

- I'm 27, married & have a 4yr old boy
- Stay at home Mom (the hardest but best job ever)
- I'm a big dog lover, currently have 4 
- I am always reading at least 1 book, currently reading 3 :)
- I'm a adrenaline junkie at heart, but now that I have a kid I don't do anymore crazy stuff. My hubby used to stunt CrotchRockets, he was even sponsored by Monster but gave it up after our son was born
- The husband also introduced me to guns and now I'm addicted to shooting, I can even out shoot him
- I'm a burn victim/survivor, over half my body is covered in burns/scars from a bad car wreck when I was 16

Changes to Come

Hey guys.  Things have been crazy hectic around here lately. Not only with the holidays but with the release of my second book. The Chosen Chronicles: Bloodlines.

I'm going to be doings somethings differently here.  I'm having a dear friend of mine take my blog over.  Don't worry, I will still be here, checking in and leaving my two cents, but she will be handling all the pages and fun stuff! I'm also adding a couple new pages for her. She will be doing some book review, random posts and promos for me. BUT, she will also be showcasing some of her amazing jewelry! I tell you guys, this girl is wicked talented! Just hang tight with us though until we can get things up and going to the way we need it and all the little buggies squashed!

F.J.R. Titchenell bio:




F.J.R. Titchenell is an author of Young Adult Sci-Fi and
Horror fiction. She is represented by Jennifer Mishler of Literary
Counsel and currently lives in San Gabriel, California with her
husband and fellow author, Matt Carter, and their pet king snake,
Mica.

The "F" is for Fiona, and on the rare
occasions when she can be pried away from her keyboard, her kindle,
and the pages of her latest favorite book, Fi can usually be found
over-analyzing the inner workings of various TV Sci-Fi universes or
testing out some intriguing new recipe, usually chocolate-related.

I haven't been around much

Hey everyone,

I just wanted to drop in and let everyone know what is going on with me and where I have been.  As I'm sure most of you have noticed, I haven't exactly been around here very much.  I've got a few things going on.  Wanna know what?  Well . . .



The Chosen Chronicles: Bloodlines has officially been sent into edits.  With release date set for December 10th :-) Wooot hooot! So I will be working on a cover with our amazing Graphics gal and getting that started soon!



I signed another book with our company, this one is a co-authored piece with my amazing friend and talented author Amelia Cole (go look her up on face book she's awesome).  That book will be released in March of 2014.



I will be attending a Convention in Augusta Maine with my house in August of 2014 and be releasing the third and Final book of The Chosen Chronicles in October.



I'm going to try and do weekly posts or possibly more than one post a week, depending on time constraints and all that fun stuff.



I will also still be doing author spotlights and such as well.  Keep an eye out because I will be doing special release info and contests in the future! :)
