A little note from Yours truly.
Hey everyone,
Melissa has been doing such a freaking amazing job with the blog. She's been an amazing asset and help for not only myself but other amazing and talented authors. I just wanted to take a little time and personally send you a letter.
This is the even that I will be attending in Maine in August. I would love for everyone to read and check it out. For this event i will have at least 4 books to sell and sign, with the possibility of a fifth. This is such an amazing event. It is to help spread the world of literacy to those that may need a way to escape from the trials, tests and treatments they have to endure during their time. I will be donating several books to this event to be given away to patients.
In order to do this I will have to take over 300 books. This can get rather expensive, including the 27 hour drive to Maine. I am doing other things, such as making cakes, doing book signings and making other crafts to raise the money. But If you would like to help donate to a good cause you can check out the gofundme link below.
All royalties I gain from any of my books will go into this event. So, if you haven't bought my books then follow the link below. There are books for only $3.99 each! Any and every little bit helps!
x <3 x <3
Thanks for all your support guys! If it weren't for you I couldn't be doing this!
Wanna help donate? Click here!
Where can you buy my books? Well, I'm glad you asked. Because all you have to do is Click Here!
What is this amazingly cool event of which I speak?! Wellllllll, Click Here
It truly is a great event. I would love any support or help you can give! Check it out, won't you?!

Walking Dead, last episode
Okay...so is anyone else still thinking about Sunday's (or DeadDay, as I call it) episode of The Walking Dead (The Grove). I seriously CANNOT get it out of my head! I know some of you don't watch the show, so just ignore this post :-) but I would like to see what everyone else thought of it (leave thoughts in 'comments'). When they first showed Lizza with that bloody knife and Mika laying on the ground behind her this was my actual reaction....
Plus I love the Winchester brothers ;) My husband was in another room watching it and I could hear him and my son yelling "Oh My God", "Whyyy".. then my son (he is almost 5) comes running in the room I'm in and was almost in tears he said "Momma, she doesn't understand! (*before when she was playing with a Walker he said 'There is something wrong with her brain, zombies are bad', then when Lizzie & everyone else was shooting the Walkers he said, 'She understands! She knows they are bad!'*) Why did she kill that little girl?" I just had to reply that she was wrong & had something wrong with her brain, she was sick. But WOW...you seriously cannot predict what will happen on TWD. But I absolutly love it!
And the new 'Crispy' Walkers was freaking awesome. What does everyone think that fire was? I personally think it was Daryl and Beth's house fire. Speaking of Beth, who do you think took her? I can't even try and guess. And this new "biker gang" Daryl is with..holy freaking crap!..Do you think he will ditch them/kill them/sneek off to find Beth or will he just put it in the back of his mind and forget about it? I would like to think he will do the right thing, but knowing what the writers/producers throw at us I have no idea what will happen.
Tell me your thoughts!

Fun Interview with Christine & Amelia
After doing seperate interviews the girls got together to do a exclusive fun interview just for this blog...Enjoy!
♥
♥
♥
C = Christine
A = Amelia
-If you could spend 24 hours being someone else, who would you be and what would you do?
C: Amber Heard and Johnny Depp
A: You would be them both? Or I would have to be one of them with you?!
C: I would be Amber Heard so I can DO Johnny Depp
A: Fair Enough. I think I would want to be one of those lottery winners that gets one of those ridiculously huge jackpots. I'd piss it away as fast as I could and then go out in a blaze of glory!
-If you could be any Supernatural Creature which one would you be?
A: Werewolf! I love dogs!
C: Yes, because being covered in fur sounds all kinds of appealing. I would be a Vampire...without the sparkles but with the daylight rings! And no little quips from the peanut section thank you very much!
A: Awww .... there go all my inappropriate adult jokes!
-You find a $100 bill on the ground, what do you do with it?
A: SHOES! (placed in the back of the closet where the husband doesn't see them right away and ask where they came from)
C: ummm ... Chip-n-Dale! Okay, so not really!
umm... probably stare at it for a few minutes... I'd like to do the right thing but it's hard to say...depends on where it is...lol
A: What's the right thing? It was lying on the ground! Are you just going to stand there and ask everyone who walks by if it's theirs?? lol
-If you was in 'The Walking Dead' which character would most be like you?
A: I don't watch the show, but the way my luck goes I would be a zombie.
C: I'd be Carol. Who doesn't want to have Daryl's affection.
-Do you believe in Aliens?
C: Aliens...hmmm not in the sense of ET but I don't exactly believe we are alone. The galaxy is huge. But to the extent of Star Wars *snickers* doubtful...I dunno...lol
A: I hope there's something more intelligent than what I've seen walking around on this planet... It's kind of depressing to think that we're IT in the catacysmic infinity of space...
C: Ugh, isn't that the truth. At this point I'd welcome being abducted.
-What would I find in your refrigerator right now?
A: It's grocery night, so not much lol. Although my husband bought three containers of Ben & Jerry's the other night. Sometimes he eats like a fourteen year old girl on a slumber party.
C: ummm...yikes. I'm sure there is something that has grown fur and arms at this point. I haven't really looked. Kinda scared too now! But Ben & Jerry's... two of my favorite men...BUT WHY do you keep them in the Fridge...Don't they go in the freezer?
A: That's what I meant, smart mouth ;)
-If you could be a Superhero, what would you want your Superpowers to be?
A: It's a toss up between super speed and invincibility. Oooo ... or maybe invisibility! That's too hard. I pass lol
C: ooo I'm kinda partial to invisibility, but then again I may not want to know what people really think of me...I think I'd take...super speed. That way I can visit my bestie :D Oh and I can clean house in a fraction of the time!
-If you had only 6 months left to live, what would you do with your time?
A: I think we'd create Avery and Nina's trip. No matter who had the six months lol
C: oooo a trip...Count me in. I would spend as much of it with my family and friends as I could...
A: and Dante ;)
C: and Blade!
A: and Raoul!
C: but we're digressing lol
-If you were a type of food, what would you be?
C: pffft...bahaha! Sorry, my mind began to wander there for a minute.
A: See, and I actually came up with an answer. You just laughed lol.
-Think Quick: A Zombie just entered where you currently are. What do you grab closest to you to use as a weapon?
A: The tray from my daughter's high chain to smash it in the head!
C: The metal table at the end of my couch. I'd use the legs and stab it through the eye.
-Think Quick: Star Trek or Star Wars, Harry Potter or Twilight, Romantic Movie or Horror Movie, Dogs or Cats, City or Country, Zombies or Aliens, Superman or Ironman, Morning or Night, Sweet or Salty, Jerry Springer or Dr.Phil, Johnny Depp or George Clooney, Facebook or Instagram, eBooks or Print Books.
A: Star Wars, Harry Potter, Romantic Movies, DOGS, Country, NEITHER, George Clooney, Facebook, PRINT BOOKS
C: I don't do Star Wars or Star Treck. Twilight, horror movie, cat, country, zombie, ironman, night, sweet & salty, neither (can't stand those men), JOHNNY FREAKING DEPP, facebook, print books
A: I love that you spelled Star TREK wrong even though it was right in front of you.
C: Hey I wasn't paying attention!
A: It really shows HOW much you don't care lol
C: EXACTLY

Exclusive Interview with Christine James
Christine's new co-author book, Abroad, was just released and in honor of that she did an exclusive interview just for you guys!
Christine James,
Author of Risen:The Chosen Chronicles, Bloodlines: The Chosen Chronicles,
Heat & Murder and Abroad
What made you decide to co-author?~I honestly have no idea. I think we'd been talking about it for a while but had never really made a finite decision. In 2012 I went to Maine to meet Amelia for the first time. We were having lunch at this really cute little cafe, close to the beach. I think the idea of writing something together got started there, even though it had NOTHING to do with this book. That idea we'd dreamed up a few years ago might see the light of day! ONE of these days!
Is there a message in 'Abroad' you want your readers to grasp?~Sure. It's okay to be different. But remember in doing so, don't try to hide who you really are, and more than anything learn on those that you are closest to.
Did you have to travel much to find inspiration?~That would have been awesome. Sadly enough, the only traveling I got to do was through the web. There are some pretty pictures.
What was the hardest & easiest part of writing 'Abroad'?~The hardest thing is that we live over 1500 miles apart. Time differences make for a real pain in the butt. I am so not a morning person and she is not a stay-up-late girl! ~Easy, because we get along so well.
Do you have anything specific that would want to say to your readers about 'Abroad'?~Don't go into it thinking there is going to be a super vilain or ulterior motive. It is supposed to be light and fluffy, borderline cheesy. It is meant to have these really incredible high points, where the girls are having fun, cutting loose and despite being prestigious college graduates, a little immature. There are some really heavy moments in it though. They are on the same trip, but it is really about their separate journeys along the way. Though some of it may be clichè, the situations and personalities of these two girls are very, VERY real to life.
How long has it taken to write 'Abroad'?~Well, initially we started it just for fun. For our writing group. But the more we got to talking about it, the more we wanted to take this step. I want to say we started late or early summer 2013. But that was only working on it, off and on, here in there. But we got serious about working on it in the Fall. I think!
What was one of the most suprising things you learned while writing 'Abroad'?~This is not my genre to write. LOL. Don't get me wrong. I love this book as if it were one of my children. IT was, however, rather difficult for me to write because I am used to creating these super wicked uber-villians. Amelia has this down pat, she is freaking brilliant when it comes to these types of books. She has such a fantastic grasp on the emotional side of things, it truly awe inspiring.
Where did you get your ideas?
~Nowhere and everywhere. LOL, I know that doesn't make a lot of sense. As authors we see inspiration in just about everything we do on a daily basis. These characters are pieces of us, what we wish we could be and some what we wish we weren't like.
How did you and Amelia come up with the title?
~Lol, Amelia doesn't care for the title part of the book, however I love that part. We just bounced ideas back and forth. We came up with the idea of a single word title. And I think it was me that suggested the title. But I'm not really sure now. Lol
How did you like writing a co-author book?
~It was. . . different. We both have two COMPLETLY different writing styles, with two COMPLETELY different genres. But honestly, it brought us closer together. We had a ton of laughs over it.
Describe your writing style in 10 words or less.
~Sloppy, messy, unorganized. . . Oh wait you said my style not my progress. Ummm, different. That's the only way I know how to describe it.
What is your favoite book and why?
~One of my favorite books is "Destiny of Lost Souls" by Christopher Rice (Anne Rice's son) It is this beautifully dark book, about what teens go through.
How would you describe yourself in 3 words?
~Loud, optimistic, sleepy.
When did you decide to become a writer?
~I don't think I honestly had that "Ah-ha" minute. It just kind of happened.
If someone wrote a biography about you, what do you think the title should be?
~Scattered topics of the Scattered Brained
Your other published books are Paranormal, what made you decide to write a book about friendship?
~This is going to sound cheesy, but everyone needs to have at least one friend they can count on for everything! This book is about that.
Do you think you could/will co-author another book with Amelia?
~I'm sure we probably will, but it's hard to say when. We're both covered up with our own projects.
Describe your friendship with Amelia.
~Comfortable. Unbreakable. We've both been through so much, in our personal lives. We each have two kids and we are both experiencing some of the same issues with them. She is one of my dearest friends and I have only met her twice! (in person)
Who designed the cover for Abroad?
~Simone Campbell
Do you and Amelia plan on getting together and doing a signing?
~Actually we will be. In August we will be part of the Believe, Hope, Live Author event in Maine. It is this enormous author signing that already has over 40 authors going to be in attendance. Proceeds go to help further cancer research. You can check out the event here...http://www.believehopelive.com
I am also trying to raise money to help traveling expenses. My assistant and I will be driving from Missouri to Main and it will get rather costly. I know things are tight and I'm not begging, if you can even donate $5 that is a great help. For more information on the event and how you can help follow the link and check it out. http://www.gofundme.com/6uaryc

Exclusive Interview with Amelia Cole, co-author of Abroad
Amelia took time out of her busy life to do an exclusive interview, her debut book 'Abroad' was just released. There will also be a interview with Christine herself and a fun interview done with both Amelia and Christine, you get to see a bit inside their funny yet amusing friendship.
Amelia Cole, Co-Author of Abroad
What are your ambitions for your writing career?
I would love to be a best-selling author, and maybe even see some of my books make it into movies some day. When I write them, I see them as movies in my head, so that would be a really cool experience.
Which actors/actresses would you like to see playing the lead character's from 'Abroad'?
Christine and I are pretty much on the same page about a lot of them. Avery is Katrina Bowden and Nina is Kat Dennings. We now have a hard time watching her show and not seeing Nina. Shemar Moore would play Blade and Noah Mills is my Raoul. Finding the right "look" can be difficult, though, so we dipped into some other areas to round out the cast. The perfect Dante, for instance, is a male model named Andre Andre, and I found Tomas in an Irish rugby player named Rob Kearney. The only problem with him is that his eyes are brown and Tomas' are blue, but that's what they make contacts for!
How much research did you have to do for Abroad?
We looked up lots of different locations and historical sites for every country the characters visited. Researching the pubs in Ireand and the beaches in Crete were two of my favorites though. We spent nights online with one another planning our own trips, passing links back and forth. It was great.
Why did you decide to collaborate with Christine?
We've been running a writing group together for a few years now and we would pick a topic to write dueling stories on from time-to-time. I think it was in the back of our minds to collaborate for a while before one of us brought it up. Abroad was originally going to stay in the writing group until she was signed with our current publishing house. She tested the waters, they showed interest and VOILA! Here we are!
When did you decide to become a writer?
I've written for as long as I can remember knowing my ABC's. I should probably thank Miss Hill for teaching me with those inflatable letter people in kindergarten. I can remember a time when I wanted to write song lyrics, although I wasn't very good at it. I made the conscious decision to pursue a professional career after the birth of my son. The rejection letters threw me off track for a while, but I kept perfecting my work while I took a break from looking for a publisher, so I think what I have to offer my readers is better now than it was with my first attempt.
How did you meet Christine?
We met the way most people meet these days. Through the internet! We were both members of an online writing group. I was too chicken to post in it at the time, but I loved her work. I followed her to the group she ran (although stalked is probably a better term for it), and she encouraged me to start sharing my own writing. After a while she made me a co-administrator. We developed quiet a following. Those ladies are probably the biggest reason we're here doing this today.
Where do your ideas come from?
The mind of an author is seldom quiet. The slightest little thing can set off an entire character background or detailed plotline, etc. I've been driving down the street when a song came on the radio and BLAM-O, full storyline. I had to call home and leave myself a message on the answering machine so I wouldn't forget. A lot of people I know spawn characters as well.
What is the hardest & easiest thing about writing?
Finding time is hard. I'm at my most creative in the morning, but being a stay-at-home mom, that's also when I'm busiest. Thankfully, my husband does the nighttime routine, so that frees me up for a couple of hours a few nights a week. The easiest thing about writing for me is figuring out my characters. They come to me fairly quickly, even before I know what kind of trouble they're going to get into. Their personalities tend to make themselves known, usually in fairly sarcastic ways. Abroad is an exception to the rule, however, because Nina got the majority of the sarcastic wit.
Do you read much, if so who are your favorite authors?
I try to read, but I've been working so hard on my writing lately that I haven't had much time. As far as classics go, Jane Austen is my ultimate favorite. I've read Pride and Prejudice five or six times. I think. For current authors, I adore Cindy Gerard. I cannot spread that woman's name around in enough places! She is amazing!!
What advice would you give your younger self?
Oh my goodness, RELAX! Don't try so hard and just let things come as they may. Life isn't as difficult as you make it, so have some fun, for crying out loud!
What is your earliest memory you have of writing a story?
My earliest writing memories are of poems. I did the poetry thing forwards and backwards and every which way. I can remember pink or purple stationary with rainbows and fluffy white clouds, but I have no idea what I was actually writing about. I do know that I was being very serious about it though. It was a masterpiece!
What is your least favorite part of the writing process?
It use to be research, but I've made my peace with that necessity, haha. Now I think it's the hurry up and wait process. Hurry up and get the manuscript written so you can meet the deadline and then sit and wait while it goes through other peoples' hands, but you don't actually see anything happening. You're just sitting and waiting and obsessing about things you want to change or how close the NEXT deadline is getting. I refer myself back to the answer for question 10. (What advice you would give to your younger self)
Describe your writing style in 10 words or less.
Impossible. I'm too wordy! Hey, I did it!
How do you use social media to promote your work?
I'm still trying to figure that out. Christine has been holding my hand through the process and giving me pointers since she's practically an old pro at it now. I use Facebook a lot, but also Twitter, Goodreads, Cafemom, and I'm sure there's more that I'm forgetting. I'm still trying to learn how to negotiate the maze. I post teasers and excerpts, and I try to give updates of my progress along the way. We're also trying to schedule a launch party on Facebook for when the book comes out.
What is your favorite part of writing with Christine?
We had to do a few really intense scences between the characters two main characters. With so much distance between us (she's in Missouri and I'm in Massachusetts) we use Yahoo chat a lot. For those scenes in particular, we jumped on chat and fell into our respective characters. It was so much fun to act those things out with her, although there were a couple we kind of put off doing, just because of the subject matter. How's that for a teaser? ;)
Do you think the two of you could write another book together?
It would depend on the story line. She's gone a little more paranormal with her writing and that's not really a genre that interests me as much, although she says the one story I did was pretty good. I would never rule it out. We would just need to find the right material and characters. Not to mention the time between our current and long-range projects.
Did you or Christine get 'Writer's Block' during the writing process?
Oh constantly. One or the other of us would get a random text message saying either Avery or Nina wasn't cooperating. We had to be careful not to step on the toes of the other person's character from time-to-time.
Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
Hopefully finishing up the series I'm just about to roll out this summer. It's one of those action-packed dream projects I would love to see on the big screen one day. Realistically, though, in five years I would like to be able to go into any bookstore and grab one of my books off the shelf. It'll take a lot of work to get there, but that's definitely my goal.
Which famous person, dead or alive, would you like to meet and why?
Wow, that's a tough one. There are so many different answers I could give, and for soooooo many different reasons. I think a person who encompasses more than one of those is Channing Tatum. The huge crush I have on him aside, he also deals with ADHD, something we're just learning how to manage with our son. I'd love to pick his brain about that and so many other topics. He's just an incredibly intelligent, articulate man. And absolutely hilarious. I envision that meeting bellied up to a bar somewhere with ample amounts of sarcasm and beer thrown into the mix to keep the mood light.
If someone wrote a biography about you, what do you think the title should be?
Now that you've met her family, doesn't she make a little more sense? A meandering biography of Amelia Cole.

★My Review★
I have read this before but the Author has revamped quiet a bit. Anastasha is one of my Favorite Indie Authors. The Romance in Mirage is just plain magical (no pun intended). You are sucked into Ella's world from page 1, and to me there just isn't enough pages. I could read this day in and day out. Ella meets this guy that looks like a Viking God (remember Thor? Yea, he is a Viking God...get the picture? yummy!) When she first meets him she leaves one hell of a first impression. I'm not going to say any spoilers. But this is one excellent book! And I highly recommend it. Anastasha also just released Bound (A Goddess Kissed Novel) that I plan on starting tonight. Squee!!
Want to hear what Christine thought?.....
"I cannot say enough about this book. I won't give you spoilers, but I will say this. The intense chemistry between Ella & Jaxx practically sizzle right off the page!!! At the beginning I can feel the intensity when Ella's world crumbles around her. Jaxx...hmmm he is awesomely yummy! Love the mystery about him & his badassery! I can't wait for book two! Get this book...what? Why are you still hanging around reading this...get moving, go check out this book! You won't be sorry!!!! I know I wasn't."

Magpie Editing Spotlight
●Magpie Editing●
When my interest in beta-reading took a more intensive and ambitious direction, I realized that editing would be an excellent use of my skills. My colleagues and friends are mostly independent authors, and many bewailed the price of editing. Investigation into industry standard editing rates horrified me, and I resolved to provide services that authors taking an alternative or independent publishing route could afford.
I love working with other authors and helping them develop the best possible manuscript. I copy-edit as well as offering stylistic suggestions, and provide some developmental advice. My specialties are descriptions and character development; I also provide limited plot advice and fact-checking (where my knowledge is applicable). Most editors only work in one or two areas; signing up for a Magpie Edit means you’re getting more for less, from a person who really loves working with people as well as books!
Who is Michelle Browne?
I am a science fiction/urban fantasy author from Calgary, AB (Canada), with a passion for working with other authors and a specialty in cross-genre fiction. I am a member of the Sci-Fi Romance Brigade, and the local writing community in Calgary, AB. My favorite genres are classics of the 19th and 20th century, science fiction, urban fantasy, high fantasy, and horror.
I have a Bachelors in Health Science (Addictions Counseling), stemming from a previous interest in psychiatry. Once I had completed my degree, I was extremely inspired to follow my true passion, writing, rather than continue in my anticipated career path. My varied interests and eclectic knowledge base have been extremely useful in both my own writing and the editing of others’.
●Testimonials●
“As an editor I have encountered no better than Ms Browne. She is very thorough with her critique and very willing to give her expert advice.
She has great insight in how a story should be written and gives several different scenarios in which the story could be written. I found her critique very helpful and have taken her advice and have begun rewrites of my latest book. Kudos to Michelle Browne. She is a top notch editor.”
-Diane Pepper Smith
“Michelle edited my debut thriller novel and I was especially pleased with the outcome. We discussed editing strategies beforehand and she identified my intended goals before providing an expert edit within the predicted turnaround time and with cost effectiveness. Her edits were offered in a respectable, constructive manner with specific justifications for her comments and I especially liked that she transformed my manuscript into a much better product without losing my specific voice. Thanks, Michelle, for the care you took to make my manuscript more than I imagined it could be.”
-Jim Murray
If you are looking for a editor, get ahold of Michelle. She is also Christine's editor ;)

BLURB
Centuries ago, Damian was betrayed by his best friend, his fiancé, and the Gods of his civilization. He vowed vengeance against them all. He studied and mastered the dark arts. All he needed after that was patience.
Damian’s ex, Vivian, now feels like her world is crashing down around her. His curse is threatening her brother Tristan’s life. The only way to save him is to trust a stranger who saved her from a fate worse than death.
Marcus had no idea saving Vivian’s life would put him in the middle of an ancient battle between good and evil. All he has to do is figure out which side he’s fighting for.
EXCERPT
Vivian sat on a large rock positioned slightly above the river and dangled her legs over the water. She began to meditate, staring into the clear river water. The meditation felt good for her mind and body after the past twenty-four hours’ stresses. Her eyelids grew heavy and she allowed herself a moment to drift to sleep. Her mind wandered from her present danger to Tristan and her hopes of saving him. She was dreaming of Sabine when she heard her voice from far away. Vivian searched for her in her dreams until it occurred to her that Sabine wasn’t speaking to her in her mind, but in reality. She opened her reluctant eyes to see Sabine standing over her. Vivian smiled, stood, and embraced her. Tears welled up as Sabine returned the hug. Vivian felt happier, as if a burden had been lifted from her. She wiped away a stray tear and stepped back to regard Sabine.
“I’m so happy you’re here. You wouldn’t believe what’s happened to me in the last twenty-four hours.” For the first time, Vivian took in Sabine’s expression. It was one of surprise and sadness. She gave Sabine a questioning look. “What’s the matter?”
“Vivian…this is not a good visit,” Sabine said. Vivian felt her heart drop into her stomach. Vivian naturally assumed she had failed and Tristan was dead. She took a moment to get a grip on her emotions before she responded to Sabine’s statement.
“What happened? I thought Tristan had enough time for me to gather more herbs to help him. This is my fault. I should have been back last night, but we were attacked by a renegade warlock, and then we had to find our way out of a cave. I almost drowned in this stupid river and now I’m freezing to death while Marcus tries to find the way back to my car. I’m so sorry…” Vivian trailed off. She couldn’t stop the tears from spilling down her face. Sabine stepped forward and placed a hand on Vivian’s shoulder.
“Tristan’s fine for now. I’m not here because of him. I’m here because of you. What happened? Who’s Marcus? What’s going on?” Sabine asked. Vivian rushed through the events that had taken place. Sabine shook her head.
“Wait, you’re here for me? Why?” Vivian asked, thoroughly confused. Sabine glanced behind her then back into Vivian’s eyes. Vivian suddenly understood why Sabine was with her and hesitantly looked behind her. Laying on the large rock above the river was Vivian’s body. Her face was pale and there was blood staining the rock under her head. Vivian’s knees gave out and she dropped to the ground next to her body.
“No…,”she whispered and shook her head in defiance. “This can’t be happening. I’m not dead.”

●Author Bio●
I live in southwest Missouri with my husband of 15 years and our three children. I work as an administrative assistant during the week. Now I get to add published author to my list of roles I play in life.
Being an author was not my first career choice. In my younger years I wanted to be a dancer, but dance lessons are expensive. I also wanted to be Dolly Parton from The Best Little Whore House in Texas. I could really belt out Itty Bitty Piss Ant Country Place, just ask my parents former neighbors.
After a slew of other interesting job choices, I just couldn’t shake the writing bug I picked up in high school. I started writing poetry and still write a poem whenever inspiration hits me. I also love to read, especially paranormal romances and urban fantasies. The love of reading is what spawned the desire to try my hand as writing a novel of my very own.
I love creating the characters and giving them their own personalities and voices. I have also come to enjoy writing fight scenes. The hubster (the wonderful man that he is) will act them out with me so I know exactly how I need to show it to the audience. Call us crazy if you like, but it’s really fun to act out a scene using a broom handle as a spear and a foam baseball bat as an axe.

DrumRoll Please.....Here is the Cover for Abroad by Christine James & Amelia Cole
And here it is Ladies & Gentlemen! The cover for Abroad by Christine James & Amelia Cole....
Amelia Cole and Christine James could not be more different than night and day. With over a thousand miles between them, culturally they have almost nothing in common and their backgrounds lie in striking contrast. Christine is a typical Midwestern girl more comfortable in boots and playing hard with her brothers, while Amelia is more reserved in her New England roots.
However, with a few clicks of the mouse, in 2008, that all changed. The girls met in a writing group on a social media site. Although they have only met in person twice, they speak every day through one form of communication or another. This comfortable, daily routine has both built and cemented their relationship into much more than just a friendship and their differences only bring them closer.
Their love of writing and storytelling has been a huge brick in the foundation of their friendship and they often discuss their current projects or ideas, giving advice and seeking help when stymied by a storyline or difficult character. Despite two completely different writing styles, they finally decided to undertake a project together. These new characters are a blending of both women; the good, bad and ugly!
