The Fault in our Stars cover concept #1

There are so many amazing covers (just follow the tag The Fault in Our Stars) that I don't even know which ones to reblog. I am blown away by your creativity and thoughtfulness and how well you've captured the book with only one chapter to go on!

You can preorder TFiOS here.

this is my favorite mock cover so far.

i just heard what john's new book is about. now that i know, i'm even more intrigued, and glad i pre-ordered yesterday along with the thousands of others. today cancer struck my life yet again- another wonderful friend- this time diagnosed with throat cancer. this is a man who has given everything to his family. who commutes daily from santa cruz to redwood city (2 hours each way) so his family can live by the sea. he is a saint of a man, and to me, like a surrogate father. his prognosis is good, but i'm still wrecked over it, what he'll have to go through in treatment over the course of the summer; the pain his family will endure seeing him suffer. for a writer like john to give this vicious disease another voice, a YA voice in particular, is so needed and welcome.

Turns out...

…the movie version Judy Moody has awesome taste in shoes.

Alternating between orange and yellow Chucks! - #sealove for J.M.?-

Turns out as well that my son is cooler- and more progressive- than I originally thought—opting for Judy Moody -a female driven production-instead of Green Lantern, which was his original choice.

I haven't read the books, so I didn't know much about the story going into it, but the movie was cute, in a creative-zany-technicolor family-Ramona & Beezus sort of way, and Judy lived in a house I might sell my soul for.

Oh yeah, and the aunt is Roller Girl!

I told you Hemingway was stalking me.

Getting the words right

Interviewer: How much rewriting do you do?

Ernest Hemingway: I rewrote the ending of "Farewell to Arms", the last page of it, thirty-nine times before I was satisfied.

Interviewer: Was there some technical problem there? What was it that stumped you?

Ernest Hemingway: Getting the words right.
