Picked up Doc Dude at SFO last night. Other than being charged by a rogue pig and flea-beaten he is good. His reports, however, were not. #AuthorAppreciationWeek: MONDAY MAVERICKS

I admire SO many YA authors I had to narrow it down. The first word that popped into my head was "Maverick".

In this changing/growing/oh-so-hip-my-90-year-old-grandma-reads it* genre of YA, writers are getting more creative with ways to connect with their readers and communities.

After deciding to narrow my focus a half-dozen authors popped to mind.

Thankful Thursday!

1. My husband. He is in Haiti. With a team of 3 other docs and 4 lawyers. He left last night and it was unbelievably sad watching him pack. I always hate that. The kids are sad, he's sad, I'm sad.
