Listen to an extract from the crime audio book DEATH LIES BENEATH

Death Lies Beneath an Inspector Andy Horton Crime NovelListen to an extract of the audio book of Inspector
Andy Horton, DEATH LIES BENEATH, a multi-layered Detective
Inspector Andy Horton crime novel, number eight in the series.

Ex con Daryl Woodley is found dead in the remote
location of Farlington Marshes to the north of Portsmouth and the body of a
woman dressed in black is found during a salvage operation to clear a World War
II munitions barge from the seabed off Tipner in Portsmouth Harbour to the
west.  Horton is tasked to find Daryl Woodley’s killer and
the murderer of the woman in black who might very well be the same person.
Aided by Agent Harriet Eames from Europol and working for Detective
Superintendent Uckfield of the Major Crime Team, Horton employs his usual
instinctive approach, combined with a grim determination and a disregard for
procedure to get to the truth.

Read an extract of Inspector Andy Horton crime novel, DEATH LIES BENEATH

Death Lies Beneath an Inspector Andy Horton Mystery DEATH LIES BENEATH is number eight in the Detective Inspector Andy Horton series of police procedural mysteries. It is set in June, so I thought it appropriate to feature it here on my blog this month. Like most of my crime novels it is inspired by locations in the area where I live and where the novels are set, Portsmouth and the Isle of Wight. It is also inspired by topical crimes. In this case, metal thefts, fraud, salvage operations and more.

If you've not read Death Lies Beneath then here's a taster. It is available in paperback, as an e book, on Amazon Kindle and on Kobo and also as an unabridged audio book narrated by Gordon Griffin.

The voices behind the audio books of the DI Andy Horton crime novels and Art Marvik Mysteries

Death Surge Audio Book by Pauline Rowson If you love listening to a good crime story or mystery then you might have already tuned into the audio books in the Inspector Andy Horton series or the first in the Art Marvik mysteries, Silent Running. And perhaps you've wondered about the narrators. A good narrator makes a huge difference to audio book listening and I'm delighted and proud to have two of the best, Gordon Griffin MBE who narrates the Inspector Andy Horton crime novels and Peter Noble who has narrated the first in the Art Marvik series.

On location with Inspector Andy Horton in DEATH LIES BENEATH

Death Lies Beneath, DI Andy Horton Mystery DEATH LIES BENEATH is a multi-layered Detective Inspector Andy Horton crime novel, number eight in the series. There are two locations that inspired me for the setting of DEATH LIES BENEATH, one was the marshes on the northern boundary of the city of Portsmouth, facing on to Langstone Harbour, Farlington Marshes. The other was the area of Tipner, or more specifically the sea bordering this north western boundary of Portsmouth, which filters into Portsmouth Harbour.
