Daddy's Rules for Dating

Daddy's Rules for Dating
…10 simple rules for dating my daughter

Rule #1
If you pull into my driveway and honk you'd better be delivering a
package, because you're sure not picking anything up.

Rule #2
Do not touch my daughter in front of me. You may glance at her, so
long as you do not peer at anything below her neck. If you cannot
keep your eyes or hands off of my daughter's body, I will remove them.

Rule #3
I am aware that it is considered fashionable for boys of your age to
wear their trousers so lo...

Interview and excerpt - THE BARTERED BRIDE by Erica Vetsch

Captain's Log, Stardate 11.12.2009

Aside from the fact she's an excellent category coordinator for me for the ACFW Genesis contest, Erica is one of the nicest people I know! And today I get to feature an excerpt of her debut novel!

by
Erica Vetsch

Pate

Captain's Log, Stardate 11.11.2009

I discovered pate sometime after college. I never ate much (if any) French food growing up, and never even heard of pate except that I read about it in a novel. I think it was one by Betty Neels.

Anyway, I saw some at the store. You might know what I'm talking about—a nice slice of a pate loaf, all pinky with speckles, in shrink wrap, in the deli section along with all the fresh cheese assortments.

My first taste was absolute heaven. OMG that stuff is like crac...

Grape lip balm

Captain's Log, Stardate 11.10.2009

I'm continuing my Etsy.com raving today with another product I bought, grape lip balm from Pacific Paradise Soap.

For one, this stuff tastes yummy!

For another, look at this ingredient list:
Grapeseed oil, sweet almond oil, candelilla wax, cocoa butter, coconut oil, shea butter, beeswax, concentrated Vitamin E, grape flavoring, Stevia.

I can pronounce everything on that list! I know what most of it is!

I'm pretty picky about my lip balms because I have a violent a...

Fit to Be Tied
by
Robin Lee Hatcher

Who says a woman can't do a man's job?

But Cleo isn't most women. Twenty-nine years old and single, Cleo loves life on her father's Idaho ranch. Still, she hopes someday to marry and have children.

Enter Sherwood Statham, an English aristocrat whose father has sentenc...

Vosges Haut Chocolat Holiday Collection truffles

Captain's Log, Stardate 11.05.2009

Those of you on Twitter and Facebook saw me freaking out patiently waiting for my chocolate to arrive. Well, they came on Wednesday!

Isn't this pretty? I love pretty packaging.

You can order the chocolates here if you can't help yourself. Just to warn you, they're a bit pricey and contrary to how they look, each truffle is only a little bigger than a marble.

The flavors are very intense, however, so actually I don't think I'd have been happy with a larger piece...

Lavender hand lotion

Captain's Log, Stardate 11.05.2009

I have to tell you, I LOVE Etsy.com!

Etsy is dedicated to providing a marketplace for people who like to make handmade products and people who appreciate them (and buy them). It has everything from handmade gifts (like my mom's Bucilla Christmas stockings and ornaments and tree skirts and wall hangings and … well, just click here to see what she has!) to soaps and lotions and jewelry and knitted items and hand-painted yarn and ...

I could surf that website for...
