2009 Denver - Tea with Danica

Captain's Log, Stardate 08.21.2009

After a day at Audra's house, Danica and I were ready to relax! So I treated her to high tea at the Brown Palace Hotel in downtown Denver!

OMG the food was absolutely yummy! Isn't this a cute server, too?

Here are the desserts, which I was tempted to eat first, but we didn't. The pale white/beige things at 9 and 3 o'clock were coconut macaroons, but they were more like pastry puffs filled with macaroon paste. OMG they were awesome! The pink petit four squares at 1</>

None of that sissy stuff

Captain's Log, Stardate 08.20.2009

Camy here: I know I just posted a joke, but I'm sick today and this cheered me up. :)

Are you tired of those sissy 'friendship' poems? Well, here is a series of promises that actually speak of true friendship.

You will see no cutesy little smiley faces on this card--just the stone cold truth of our great friendship.

1. When you are sad -- I will jump on the person who made you sad like a spider monkey jacked up on Mountain Dew!

Farting joke

Captain's Log, Stardate 08.19.2009

I got this joke from a friend who shall remain nameless in case it embarrasses her. This joke is a little gross but it's SO funny!

I was in the pub yesterday when I suddenly realized I desperately needed to fart. The music was really, really loud, so I timed my farts with the beat.

After a couple of songs, I started to feel better. I finished my pint and noticed that everybody was staring at me.

Then I suddenly remembered that I was listening to my iPod.

Excerpt - Montana Rose by Mary Connealy

This week, the
Christian Fiction Blog Alliance
is introducing
Montana Rose
Barbour Publishing, Inc (July 1, 2009)
by
Mary Connealy<>

ABOUT THE AUTHOR:
Mary's writing journey is similar to a lot of others. Boil it down to persistence, oh, go ahead and call it stubbornness. She just kept typing away. She think the reason she did it was because she was more or less a dunce around people—prone to sit silently when she really ought to speak up(or far worse, speak up when she ought to sit silently).

So, Mary ha</>

Captain's Log, Stardate 08.17.2009

Update: Sorry, the link was wrong! It's fixed now.

I was traveling for most of July! I first went to Denver, Colorado, where I spent about a week with my friend Danica Favorite. (You guys might have seen the log of our wild and crazy doings on the Fact or Fiction game we played on the Steeple Hill forum boards!

We went up to visit my friend Audra Harders while I was there! I blogged briefly about it on the Five Scribes blog at the tail end of my blog tour, but I h

Gail Martin

How is Brent Runyan supposed to reach his troubled nephew? The workaholic businessman knows nothing about providing a real home to the orphaned boy who needs him so much.
