Feeling blah and NaNoWriMo
Captain's Log, Stardate 11.03.2009
Forgive me for whining, but, well…I'm going to whine.
I've been feeling like crap for several weeks. Tired. Headachy. Stomach a little nauseated. But no sniffles or sore throat or fever or anything "normal" in terms of flu or cold symptoms.
I did find out that one of the youth group had the Swine flu (early stages) two Saturdays ago but I haven't developed any symptoms, plus I was feeling poorly even before then.
So what is wrong with me? Why can't I shake this?...

I'm a little late on this, but I wanted to post this excerpt of the debut novel of my friend Christina Berry! I've known Christina and her mom for a few years now, and they always have a warm hug for me. :) I love the story premise of Christina's novel and hope this excerpt tantalizes you enough to go order her book!

Laundry droppage
Captain's Log, Stardate 10.27.2009
I'm not known for my neat eating, so the other day, I dropped something on my T-shirt, right in front.
Now, it wasn't a HUGE mess, just a dime-sized drop. Okay, maybe a quarter sized drop.
Captain Caffeine looks at it in dismay. "You've got something on your T-shirt."
"I know, I spilled something." Not a surprise. "I think it's caramel sauce."
The Captain eyes the brown dot. "Wait, is that my T-shirt?"
"No, I pulled it out of my drawer."
"I think it is my T-shirt....

Bejeweled Blitz on Facebook
Captain's Log, Stardate 10.23.2009
Let me start off by saying that I'm normally not a games person. I've never really gotten into games, both computer games and regular games.
(Although I will confess that sometimes the games we played with the Junior High kids at church which involved inflicting physical pain and suffering on them was rather amusing to me, although I'm sure that says something frightening about me psychologically.)
All that aside, I am completed addicted to the Bejeweled Blitz ...
