Teen Author Tuesday Presents Cynthia Omololu
I'm excited to welcome another Tenner this week, Cynthia (CJ) Omololu! Cynthia's debut novel, DIRTY LITTLE SECRETS, was just released on February 2nd from Walker books. It is Contemporary YA fiction.
Welcome, Cynthia! Can you tell me about your book in seven words or less?
Hopeful hoarding romance.
Great! Other than your main character, who's a favorite character of yours in your debut novel and why?
This is going to sound twisted, but I really liked tuning in to her mother. So complex and...

March Madness - Monday Check-in (Day 15)
We're halfway, folks! (or at least, we will by by midnight Monday).
As of today, I'm pretty happy with my progress. I'm right around the halfway mark of my WIP, and I think the early bits needed the most work. So YAY for that!
I've been thinking about rewards lately. I love to set goals and do challenges to push myself on, and even though having some writing to show at the end is the biggest reward, I think there's something more removed and memorable about having a side-reward to celebrate wit...

March Madness - Thursday Check-in (Day 11)
Well, the good news is, my mind has been deep in my work in progress.
The bad news? I completely forgot that it's Thursday already! So sorry I'm getting this up so late. In the interest of giving everyone a place to check in, I won't ramble today.
So how's your writing/revising going?
P.S. Aren't those new prizes being offered up this week AWESOME?!

A new week, a new, (& clean) slate!
So if you haven't started writing yet, or if you started and slowly tapered off on your progress, IT IS NOT TOO LATE! Join in. Let our little community help propel you forward.
For those who have been writing, I've read several reports of falling behind here and there. I want to ask you...do you think you've made more progress being part of March Madness than you would have otherwise? I know I definitely have. So many days I haven't really felt like doing it,...

Friday Four
1. If you haven't gotten involved in the March Madness Writing Challenge yet, you must! It's proving to be a great and productive time, and I'm so inspired by all of the success stories I'm hearing already. Today's check-in is over at Shana Silver's Blog.
2. I got my First Pass / Typeset pages of Losing Faith last week, and they are so pretty! A picture won't do them justice, but I'll show you one of the chapter heading pages anyway (taken with my cell phone, so really NOT doing it justice). I...

March Madness - Thursday Check-in (Day 4)
There's always something. That's my theme for today's post, because it's true, there always is something that can get in the way of our goals and our writing.
I've been writing and revising every day since the first, a little less than what I'd hoped. A chapter the first day, two days for the next chapter. I hope to get another full chapter in today.
For me, this week's obstacles have been a head cold and sinus infection, first pass pages for my first book that have to be scrutinized and sent ...
