Authors With Abs: Check In
I'm a bit pressed for time today, so I thought I'd do a check in and see where everyone's at. As for me, although I haven't seen any lack of poundage yet, I also haven't seen any of my usual monthly weight gain, which I think is a good sign.
With summer officially here, I'm finding myself much more motivated to get out of the house and get active. Plus, as I mentioned last week, my back has been feeling awesome just for taking a few writing breaks and getting mobile.
I heard from a few people las

Friday Four: Then and Now
Here are four ways I was different as a teenager than I am today.
1. Snack Time
Then: crunchy Ramen noodles.
Now: carrots and chicken breast. (yum!)
2. Bedtime
Then: 4 AM was not unusual.
Now: 10 PM is not unusual.
3. Mowing The Lawn
Then: harp and complain about our 200 SF patch.
Now: rejoice over 10,000 SF worth of calories burned and time to listen to audiobooks. (and okay, still a little complaining).
4. Favorite Author
Then: none, I didn't read. I'd use any excuse to get out of it.
Now: Too many

Authors With Abs: Chocolate and Lunges
Food of the week for ab-seeking authors: chocolate.
I knew that would get your attention! How can this be, you might ask. Well, we all know what we SHOULD eat. So I’m going to spend this week attacking (or not) one of the foods we shouldn’t (or think we shouldn’t) eat.
Here’s my opinion on all "sinful" food: It’s never the quality of the food that gets us in trouble. Only the quantity. And in fact, in the case of chocolate, good quality dark chocolate, it’s high in flavonoids (containing antioxide

Friday Four
1. I've been MIA most of the week, mostly because it's been busy over at The Tenners blog. For anyone who missed it, go check out Ask a Tenner.
2. Mowing the lawn in ninety degree weather...not the best idea I've ever had. There has to be a better way to exercise.
3. I must make clear that I AM NOT complaining about the weather. Where I live (just outside Vancouver) we could battle Forks, Washington for rainfall. This week, however, has been a beautiful blue blessing.
4. I watched the Twilight movi

Authors With Abs: Check In
So who did their pushups? Anyone? Anyone? Beuller?
Okay, besides Shari (congrats, btw!)
I did mine...and this is in addition to my gym workouts. I just find as a writer, I can spend an awful lot of time in front of my computer sitting still. Not only is this bad for the circumference of my lower half, it's also not very good on my shoulders and upper back. So now what I'm TRYING to do is take intermittant breaks and get a little more active. My back actually is feeling pretty darn good this week s
