NYC Highlights
I apologize for my lapse in blogging. It is (most definitely) not because I have nothing to share. The last two weeks were an absolute whirlwind and even though I'm home now (shhh, don't tell anyone just yet - I'm hoping no one notices until at least Wednesday) I don't feel like I've gotten my bearings yet.
The most exciting news of the day, for me at least, is that my book comes out in exactly three months from today! I had a list of things I had planned to be doing for promotion at this poin...

The Class of 2k10: A Few Escapades
There is so much to share about my trip to New York City, and to be honest, I've been putting off blogging about it because of the vast amount of stuff I wanted to include. I've finally convinced myself to get started and share things in small snippets as I have a few moments.
Today I thought I'd start with a few of my most fun moments with the Class of 2k10. We first met up on Monday night at the Teen Author Carnival at the Jefferson Market branch of the New York Public Library. Several of ou...

Book Expo and First Times...
I am writing this from my critique partner, Shana Silver's, apartment in New Jersey, just across the Hudson River from The Big Apple.
We are gearing up to go to the Book Expo of America, one of the publishing world's biggest events, coming up this week. In preparation, there have already been many "first times" for me.
It is not my first time meeting Shana Silver, but it is my first time visiting her hometown and apartment. It was my first time (honestly!) getting a pedicure this week, so my t...

Seattle and Stuff...
I'm crazy-busy getting ready for NYC (eeeee!!!) but I did make time to take a short trip down to Seattle yesterday for Chelsea Campbell's launch party. It is almost a three-hour drive, though, so I always try to make the most of my trips down south.
So yesterday, I was fortunate enough to be able to meet up with the lovely Mindi Scott for a late Mexican lunch.
It was so much fun to talk writing, all things Simon & Schuster, as well as plenty of non-writing things (it's true, we DO have non-wri...

Between Teen Author Tuesday, March Madness, and the Fools of April, it seems like it's been a while since I've posted news or even a writing post. Since I have "news" that's piling up, I'll start with that today.
Many of you know, I'm headed to NYC this month for the Book Expo of America (insert enormous squee!)Sixteen of the twenty-three members of the Class of 2k10 will be meeting there and we've planned several bookstore and library events in and around the city.
