Teen Author Tuesday Presents Jennifer Cervantes

Today, I'm happy to welcome another author-friend from The Tenners, Jennifer Cervantes. Her debut novel,TORTILLA SUN, is due out tomorrow, May 5th, 2010 from Chronicle. It is contemporary multicultural middle grade, for ages 9-12.

Welcome, Jennifer! Can you...

An Honest Debut Author Perspective

I know many of my blog readers are aspiring or about-to-be-debuting authors, and I wanted to post something that may add some perspective and/or preparedness to your situation. Lisa Schroeder Talks Verse Novels...

Over the past several months, I've been toying with writing a verse novel. I LOVE reading a good verse novel, and when I was in the middle of reading the fabulous FAR FROM YOU, by my author-friend Lisa Schroeder, I decided I needed some expert advice before really pursuing my project.

I sent Lisa a few questions, and her answers were so interesting that I asked her if I could share them with the rest of the world. And as many of you know, April is National Poetry Month, so this seemed like the...
