When Life get's in the way.

Since getting Once Bitten... on the computer, finally, I find I have been putting off the editing by doing anything except logging on to begin. This is why I'm blogging so much I guess. I get on here and think, "Well I should really update my site." Then I get here and decide a new blog would be good since I'm here.

I've been watching a little more television as well. God I love T.V. My regular addiction is reality shows. Big Brother, Survivor, Hell's Kitchen, Next Top Model, John & Kate plus 8

Crazy? Maybe just a little. But in a good way.

I am yet again playing the waiting game. Two stories to publishers last week and now a month or two before I get an answer. As I wait I am coming up with new stories and ideas for ones already started and my brain feels like it's about to blow.

I don't know how successful authors juggle family, work, and writing while waiting for that big break. I feel as though there are so many balls in the air, one will surely fall starting an avalanche. I push aside the writing while dealing with my kids and

Procrastinating

So I'm supposed to be working away at getting Once Bitten onto the computer and edited and ready to go to publishers. My focus is not very good. Instead of that I've written another children's book called "Daddy & Me" which I love. It's cute. I've also started another story about four friends who go on an annual trip away from everything and find once they've been stranded, that they're haunted. Still working the bugs out of the plot but the first three chapters are looking good.

Here's what hap

Publishers, contracts, waiting....

It's been a while hasn't it? I'm happy to say that my blog is finally all fixed up and running great.

Recently on a discussion board there was a discussion about which publisher a new author should use. She had received a contract from Publish America (my publisher) and didn't know if she should take it. There were several useful pieces of advice given to her but there was also alot of bitter hatred for this publisher. Now, I have read all of this before on other sites but I was surprised to see

Nothing Specific

I hate my computer. It is old and clunky and slow. It doesn't like pictures or sound. It just wants to drive me insane making me wait ten minutes for each page to come up and completely shut down when it's tired.

I need a new one. Someday, I will have one and this beast will be exiled to the basement. Hopefully it doesn't crash on me before the newer model arrives. I'm waiting to hear from two publishers and I have work to get on it and save before it can do that.

Publishers you ask. Yes, Happ

Good Times, Great Friends

Well, we celebrated me on Saturday and boy are we tired. It's a good thing Princess Consuela comes out only once each year. She's a wild and crazy girl.

Thanks to my great friends it was a birthday I'll never forget. I know now that I am truly blessed. I have an amazing family and the best friends. Who else would happily go along with my crazy party scheme but The A-team and Shannon and Christine. They wore the tiaras and the name tags happily and helped make me look like a rockstar.

Tiaras? I k

Patience is a virtue.

Surely we all remember some adult from our childhood telling us that patience is a virtue. We all must learn to be patient and in doing so will become better people. Hmmm..I've still got a lot of work to do in that area.

As a writer patience is a necessity. The waiting game you must play would certainly drive you loony if you couldn't be patient and quietly wait for your replies from publishers.

For me, even the writing process is a test of my ability. The long process of getting the story out

Celebrate your own greatness. It's not likely anyone else will.

When was the last time someone threw a party for you? Not a baby shower or bridal shower or an anniversary. I mean a party just to celebrate you being you.

Recently I decided I wanted to go out for a girl's night. Around here that happens every three or four months for me. A bunch of  us desperate housewives, and a few sexy singles, go out to the local bar and party our faces off. We all regret it the next day, but it's well worth the pain.

That time has come around again but I decided I wanted

Good Morning??

Wow, two posts in two days!! Don't get used to this. Life will happen eventually and I'll barely have time to shower much less sit typing away on the computer.

More snow today, snow does nothing for my creativity. It makes me want to crawl into bed and hide until spring. I should have been a bear. We share a striking resemblance most mornings.

I've been searching other author sites and noticed that I have no reviews. Sad, no one wants to say something about my book. Well, if you're reading this
