Insane time in the Anderson house. Crazy, insane, but I did finish DARK WATERS and it is now in the hands of my lovely editors. So, I need a day to get my life bits straightened out, let the noise clear from the fog horn blaring in my brain and then I can figure out what to do next.

Countdown to DANGEROUS WATERS--hero

Twenty days until my first Montlake Romance book releases! To celebrate I'm going to do a few fun excerpts and background facts.

First, every good romance novel needs a great hero. So let me introduce you to former Canadian Special Forces soldier, FINN CARVER, who is now the dive master at a world famous marine lab. A loner by nature, he has a protective streak a mile wide, and is determined to help people weaker than himself—the same way they protected him from an abusive father when he was a child.

Diabetes Donation

So this month I volunteered to be a canvasser for Canadian Diabetes Association and went door-to-door collecting. I am officially the worst donation collector in history but it is a good cause and people are generous. I also donated the 15% of my royalties from EDGE OF SURVIVAL that I promised.

This is an ongoing donation. Thankfully Harlequin print each book's sales separately, and this is where I want to state publicly I've donated my 15% of sales up to the end of June 2012 (which was my last royalty period). Thanks to the people who bought the book.

It's never too late to donate and every time someone buys a copy of EDGE OF SURVIVAL I will continue to donate 15%--and imagine if it ever got made into a movie, LOL?

Non-writing reasons to be busy

So--after eight years of 'what do we do with this room?' and eight months since DH started picking at the thick paint around the window frames we have almost finished what is now known as 'the piano room'.





Painting all done! We've ordered wallpaper from The Wallpaper Company (great name, huh?) for the window wall, but it's going to be another week before it arrives. We're more than halfway there though :) Then we'll slowly turn it into a music/reading room with some new furniture (as finances allow). Slow progress but we are getting there.
