Garden

I haven't been very excited by the garden since we got back from the west coast. Most of the pots were dead and the flowerbeds weren't spectacular. DH has been complaining about my globe thistles for ages and I finally agreed with him and dug most of them up. I planted this little shrub (name escapes me) instead. Usually I love getting the garden ready for winter but aside from banding the trees, mulching the newly planted apple and cherry trees and clematis, I can't really be bothered. And I'm super busy writing and we've been doing stuff inside the house for a change. Still, I kind of miss getting my hands dirty and will need to do a big weeding session before long.

Anyone have any good plant recs for Zone 3?

First Ever RT Book Review

DANGEROUS WATERS
by Toni Anderson
Four Stars. "With a haunting setting and a captivating cast of characters, Anderson has crafted a multifaceted mystery rife with secrets. Readers will have to focus, as red herrings abound, but the result is a compulsively engrossing page-turner. Plus, the romance is an integral part of the expertly woven plot, which builds to an emotional, satisfying conclusion." You have to subscribe to see the whole review, or pick up the October issue of RT.

FARGO in Fargo

I remember watching the movie FARGO in 1996. It was pre-kids so we went to the flicks every week. I sat eating popcorn and basically thought, OMG, I had no idea places like Fargo existed. Who would live in a place like that?
I heard on the radio this morning that they are doing an outdoor showing of FARGO in Fargo, projecting the movie onto the tallest building in town, as part of Fargofest.

How cool is that?

Do you know what this means? It means I live in a place where we go to Fargo on holiday.

Giving Away Five Signed DANGEROUS WATERS ARCS

Look what arrived in the mail today? Advance Reader's Copies of DANGEROUS WATERS

Unproofed, which means they have mistakes in them, which I have to find and destroy :) I'm giving away five copies so email me if you want to be entered into the draw to read it a whole two months before everyone else.
What would I like in return? Well, I'd love an honest review on Amazon or Goodreads or wherever you talk about books. Or just talking to your friends or asking your local library to stock it. That's all.

email: tonianderson @ shaw.ca (no spaces) and put DRAW FOR DW ARCS in email subject line.

The lovely Laura Griffin, New York Times and USA Today best-selling author, called it "Dark and intriguing, Anderson's tightly plotted story keeps you guessing." And also, "A captivating mix of suspense and romance, DANGEROUS WATERS will pull you under."
I'll announce the draw winners next Wednesday.
