Yay, Band
You know what's really nice about this? What she said about the band. I'm so lucky to have them back there a-workin'.
You can listen to their work right here.
And the music they make is available here.
Thank you, Long Beds.

I'll visiting with Larry Meiller on Wisconsin Public Radio today. You can listen online here. Or tune your radio to one of these.
We'll be speaking mainly about the new Long Beds album, Tiny Pilot, which, by the way just so happens to be streaming over at Volume One. It can also be pre-ordered (with free early download) here.

WUWM Interview – Tiny Pilot
Mitch Teich talks to me about albums, airplanes, and accordions. OK, nothing about accordions…this time.
On the Radio Today
Caught up with Mitch Teich recently for an interview about Tiny Pilot, the new album by the Long Beds. The interview airs today on WUWM's "Lake Effect." I'm told the interview itself should play at approximately 10:35 a.m. (and repeat at 11:35 p.m.). More info on how/where to listen online here.
Also, Tiny Pilot is now streaming over at Volume One. It can be pre-ordered (with free early download) here.
New Album Now Streaming
Not sure exactly when the exact link goes live, so I'll try to update this post to be more specific, but sometime today (maybe now?) you'll be able to go over to the Volume One site and stream the new Long Beds album live.
And of course, the album itself is available for pre-order (with free download) right here.

Back in Iowa
Neat how a photograph can send me backward…this one from Bob taken at a signing in Iowa City brings back memories of a warm evening, a great cup of drip coffee that morning at the Java House, and sitting on an I-80 on-ramp with the window open to the sound of birds and blowing grasses as I did a phone interview with a radio station back home. So thanks, Bob:

Beagle Making Me Grin
So last night was the final class of our required biannual emergency first responder refresher course. These days I am privileged to be answering calls with the Emergicare division of our local Township Fire Department, but the only refresher that fit my schedule was the one up in New Auburn, with my old Population 485 crew. So it's been fun. A goofball reunion of sorts.
My good friend, neighbor, and butcher, Bob the One-Eyed Beagle was in fine form last night. He informed me that...
