Long Beds on TV

Thank you to Steve at TV18.  He made the trek over to the LuCille Tack Arts Center in Spencer, Wisconsin, and shot some Long Beds footage.  Video here.

That music we're playing is from the Amble Down Records album Tiny Pilot now available for pre-order and early listening.

Mike in Minnesota

I'll be in Minnesota Thursday night.

Expanded story here.

I'll be channeling a Cheesehead John Cleese: Don't mention Brett Favre.

(By the way, if you watch the Fawlty Towers clip all the way to the end, it has one of my favorite bloopers: you can see the video monitor reflected in the window panes of the door.) (You have any idea how many times you have to freeze-frame yer VHS before you catch that?)

Tiny Pilot – Michael Perry and the Long Beds (music CD)

Tiny PilotLike so many before him, Michael Perry learned to sing in church. Then a Waylon Jennings 8-track got him hooked on boogety-boogety. This combination yielded the mix of straight-up twang and churchly harmonies found in Perry's music. Tiny Pilot is Michael Perry's second full-length release with his band the Long Beds. The songs on Tiny Pilot range from boot-stomping country to roughneck folk ballads and are populated by characters drawn straight from rural and small-town America. The...

Thanks Again

Home feeding chickens and hauling firewood after a weekend spent singing and telling stories.  I hope everyone knows how much it means to us when we see faces out there, knowing you've taken time to venture out in the cold to share your afternoon or evening with us.

Today it's time with family and relatives, celebrating a certain youngster's tenth birthday (zooom! goes Time) and getting used to the fact that during my absence this week Olivia the Cinderella Dog Princess was transformed into...

Got the guitars packed up and we're headed out for a two-day run.  Tonight in Spencer, Wisconsin, I'll do a set of reading/humor followed by a set with the band.  Then on Saturday we'll do two concerts in Alma, Wisconsin (I'll probably weave a few stories in between the songs).

More info on Spencer show here.

Department of Merchandising

If you are one of the two people who bought a size large Sneezing Cow t-shirt in Rhinelander and have discovered it is large only if you are an underfed gopher or one of the Olsen twins, please contact us.  There was some confusion on the labeling.  I apologize to the Olsen twins.
