How Being a Musician has Made me a Better Writer with Aubrie Dionne

1.      Music has taught me patience, hard work and discipline. Practicing an instrument is like exercising- you don’t see the rewards right away. It takes a good week of long tones to finally start sounding stronger at all and years to get the fuzziness out of your tone. It wasn’t until Grad school-twelve years of playing- that I started to achieve the clear, resonant flute tone that I have today by changing small things with the shape and size of my mouth, my lips, and my chest cavity. So, if anything, music has taught me that patience, hard work, and discipline will yield results sooner or later- you just have to keep working at it.
2.      Music has taught me how much time you really need to invest be a pro. I just read an article in Flute Talk magazine- yup there’s such a thing- about this conservatory teacher who asks his students to practice 20 hours a week- that’s like 3 hours a day! If you truly want to sound professional, than you need to spend A LOT of time with your instrument. I have to practice an hour or two a day just to maintain the level that I’m at for rehearsals and teaching.
The same goes for writing. 500 words a day isn’t going to cut it. Right now I dedicate 2-3 hours a day to my writing, and finally, I’m starting to see results.
3.      Music has taught me how to express emotion. The tools you use with music are different than with writing, but you need emotion in both just the same. With music, you use vibrato-waves in the sound, dynamics-loud and soft, rubato- bending the tempo, and emphasis on certain key notes to achieve an emotional result. They all have to work together in synch and make sense to produce the desired effect. With writing, you can achieve emotion with a mix of internal thoughts, outward actions, character arcs and development, and specific associations to produce a desired emotional effect- but it has to work right together- just like music to produce the emotional result.
4.      Music has taught me how to receive criticism in a positive way and how to use it to better myself. Each week at a music lesson, if you have a good teacher, your teacher will give you suggestions on how to improve. If you take those suggestions, over time you start to see how they can make you a better player. Sometimes you don’t want to hear how you don’t sound clear, or you’re playing the wrong rhythm, but you grow to learn that your teacher is there to help make you better. The same goes with your editor. You have to truly listen to what they are saying and then try to implement it in your writing.
Tell me, what part of your jobs or careers has helped you with your writing?

Maestro Series Book One
Aubrie Dionne
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Publisher: Entangled Bliss
ISBN: 1622668723
Number of pages: 190Word Count: 48k
Cover Artist: Jessica Cantor
Barnes and Noble  Amazon
Book Description:
Melody Mires has sworn off dating musicians, but when the sexy European conductor Wolf Braun takes over her struggling symphony, her hesitation almost flies out the window with the notes of her flute—until he opens his mouth. Wolf is arrogant, haughty, and seems to have a personal vendetta against Melody. Oh, and he’s her boss. If she wants to keep her job as principal flutist, she’ll have to impress Wolf while simultaneously keeping her undeniable attraction to herself.
Wolf came to America to get as far away from his past as possible, and to recover some of the swagger he had as one of the world’s best maestros. He never imagined being forced to reassess the entire orchestra’s talent—and potentially fire anyone who doesn’t make his cut. Dating the attractive flutist is out of the question, but as their feelings reach a fever pitch, can they risk both their careers for a chance at love?
About the Author:
Aubrie grew up watching the original Star Wars movies over and over until she could recite and reenact every single scene in her backyard. She also loved The Goonies, Star Trek the Next Generation--favorite character was Data by far--and Indiana Jones. But, her all time favorite movie was The Last Unicorn. She still wonders why the unicorn decided to change back to a unicorn in the end.

Aubrie wrote in her junior high yearbook that she wanted to be "a concert flutist" when she grew up. She majored in flute performance at the University of New Hampshire on a full scholarship, then secured two teaching jobs at a University and a local community music school. While playing in orchestras and teaching, stories popped into her head, and she used them to make the music come alive for her flute students. Her students said they were so good, she had to write them down! Maybe they were right, who knows? Two careers seems to keep her busy. For now.

She is represented by Dawn Dowdle and writes sweet and adventurous fantasy, science fiction, and contemporary romance.

The one that wouldn’t go away By Liv Olteano

Each of us has a favorite thing about reads. It can be action, tension, setting, romance, character–or a mix of them, of course. I’m very character oriented when reading, and I’m also very character oriented when I come up with stories.

Getting to know characters is a fantastic process. Entirely exhausting at times, but fascinating. I like to think of it as going out with friends. You hang out, learn their mannerisms, pick up on their style and learn their ways. After paying enough attention you get to know who they really are, behind all the jokes and laughs and posing everyone does. I love the process of figuring them out, and I try to write them from the outside in, to introduce them that way too. But while I’m still researching them, still figuring them out, the process often resembles calling a friend to go out. I bring forth the one I’m set on researching, summon her or him into existence before my mind’s eye. This one character though, he couldn’t care less about my process: Rizzo Berg.

He’d just show up out of the blue and stomp and grumble and sass until I’d give him my undivided attention. I liked that about him. I’ve been told he comes across as something of an a$$hole you can’t help but like because he makes you laugh. He felt that way to me, I’ll admit. It’s why I liked him, in fact. You gotta love someone who’s able to win you over while being unrepentant. He’s not apologetic or trying to redeem himself at all. I admired him for it; it was easy to write him down once I got him. It also gave me peace of mind, truth be told. Since he got his happily-ever-after I get a lot peace. He’s way too busy running around after the kids now. That was sort of my vengeance, haha. He wasn’t the family-oriented type, never thought about having kids before he met Conrad, his permanent ally (aka husband). Now Rizzo is a family man, a dad.

And I miss him popping up in my mind’s eye and demanding attention, as irony would have it. He was fun, always made me laugh. But that’s the fate of a writer, maybe, sort of like a parent. Once you’ve given life to this character, this new being, you build them a life up to a point and then you have to let go. I’ll love all of my characters, but I think Rizzo will always be special to me. He’ll always be Rizzo Berg, the one that wouldn’t go away until I gave him his own life.
Do you find yourself in a similar position with characters you’ve read about? What’s the character you read about that simply wouldn’t go away even when the story was over? :-)

ISBN: 978-1-62380-435-0
Number of pages: 131Word Count: approx 30k

Book Description:
Even years after Rizzo Berg’s lover and Dom died in combat, the memories torment him. Following a particularly disappointing date, Rizzo goes to sleep in his apartment only to wake up on a spaceship with tall, gorgeous, alien Captain Conrad D’Ollet of Heracia, a man so deliciously dominant Rizzo’s knees turn to jelly.
Apparently the Heracians need help, and Rizzo is a humanitarian through and through. Spending more time around Conrad is totally not one of the reasons he wants to lend a hand.
Soon Rizzo finds himself completely conquered and blissfully owned. But neither he nor Conrad is willing to risk his heart, let go of the past, and dare to believe in a future that won’t end in catastrophe.

About the Author:
Liv Olteano is a voracious reader, music lover, and coffee addict extraordinaire. And occasional geek. Okay, more than occasional.
She believes stories are the best kind of magic there is. And life would be horrible without magic. Her hobbies include losing herself in the minds and souls of characters, giving up countless nights of sleep to get to know said characters, and trying to introduce them to the world. Sometimes they appreciate her efforts. The process would probably go quicker if they’d bring her a cup of coffee now and then when stopping by. Characters—what can you do, right?
Liv has a penchant for quirky stories and is a reverent lover of diversity. She can be found loitering around the Internet at odd hours and being generally awkward and goofy at all times. For The Win.
Be afraid. Be very afraid.

Welcome MY Ryan and her character Sebastian Kess to Fang-tastic Books

Hello!  Today I am pleased to interview Sebastian Kess.  Sebastian is a magical humanoid from the parallel dimension of Coursodon and has recently been restored to his own body after being trapped in a Kindle.
What an interesting story.  So, Mr. Kess, how did you get caught in an eBook reader?
Please, call me Sebastian.  I never let a beautiful woman call me anything but.  Back to your question, my job is to hunt those from my dimension who use their magical abilities to harm humans.  While pursuing a particularly diabolical criminal, I was mortally wounded.  I used the opportunity to test one of my many theories of spiritual convergence and converted myself to binary code.  I planned to transfer myself to my laptop, but through a series of mishaps, I ended up in an electronic reading device.
Interesting, Sebastian.  But, I see that you, or rather, your spiritual essence, somehow ended up inside a human woman.  How did that come about?
The Kindle in which I was trapped was purchased and sent to Hailey Parrish.  She unwittingly released me and I took refuge in her when she first powered up the device. Lovely girl, by the way, she took the entire co-habitation dilemma quite well.
Oh my!  What was it like being inside a woman?
Well, my dear, I’ve been inside many women, but this was the first time I’ve been able to feel what they feel and experience the world through their eyes.  Very enlightening indeed.
What was the worst thing about inhabiting a woman?
I don’t know how any of you can tolerate the PMS.  I always believed it was all a scheme perpetuated by females to gain sympathy.  I had no idea how physically and emotionally draining it could be.  Took all my mental fortitude to contain myself.  And by the time I recovered, it was time for the next month’s rollercoaster.
And the best thing?
Multiple orgasms.
Stop blushing, I am joking.  Much as I tried to share some of my innate sexuality to my host, Hailey was quite adamant about me curbing my…libidinous needs while within her body.  Pity really, after being alive for over 250-years, I’ve learned a thing or two about pleasuring a lady.  Hailey truly missed a once in a lifetime opportunity.
All right, then….  You mentioned that Hailey wasn’t overly traumatized by your presence?
She was, how do you say it, a real trooper.  At least, once she realized the voice in her head was me trying to communicate rather than a hallucination.  She was a bit unnerved when it became apparent that I could see whatever she was seeing.  But again, it’s not as if I’ve never seen a naked woman before.  It wasn’t long before we came to an understanding, and the situation was smooth sailing from then on.
And somewhere during your inhabitation, your protégé, Alex Sunderland, figured out what was happening and helped restore you to your own body?
Correct.  He is a very perceptive.  Of course, I trained him.  And he became quite enamored with Hailey.  Both she and Alexander refused to act upon their desires until I was no longer within Hailey.  I rather enjoy threesomes, but they are, apparently, much less adventurous than I.  Let me tell you, the frustration involved with dealing with Hailey’s unrequited lust for Alexander was quite a burden.
I think that about wraps things up.  Thanks for being our guest today, Sebastian.
Are we finished already?  I have a few hours before I have to leave town, perhaps you would agree to join me for dinner?  You now know so much about me, I would very much like to get to know you better.
You know, Sebastian, I never go out with people I interview.  But there’s something about you that makes me want to make an exception.
Is it my devastating good looks?
No, not really.
My witty repartee?
No, not that either.  I can’t quite explain it…you aren’t using some of that magical ability to influence me are you?
Although I could use magic, what would be the point when women are naturally drawn to me?
I can see that.  Shall we go?
I thought you would never ask.

Three years later, Hailey still hadn’t gone on a date and she milks chinchilla for a living. Her life is about to get weirder.
While in pursuit of inter-dimensional miscreants who use their arcane powers to prey upon humans, Sebastian Kess was ambushed and mortally wounded. Resurrecting Harry, Resurrecting a Legend and $50 Amazon Gift Card Giveaway

Resurrecting  Harry, Resurrecting a Legend
I knew when I decided to write a book about a reincarnated Harry Houdini, that I was treading on thin ice. I wasn’t just writing an alternate timeline for an historical figure, I was adding a new fictional tale to the life of legend.  But, when the idea of an escape artist who could escape death hit me, I know Houdini was the only potential star for this story.
I combatted my fears with research and by writing a story that was about more than the act, and about more than the real life man and woman.  Resurrecting Harry is about learning from our past mistakes and understanding that each day is a gift we’re given and not to be squandered.
I’ve been asked if it was harder to write about (fictional) real-life characters than the characters I completely make up in my head. The answer: not really. If anything, it was easier.  I’m a pantster (wite by the seat of my pants). So, when I’m working with characters that I’m building from the ground up, my first fifty pages end up uneven. The characters say and do odd things until I figure out their personality. With Resurrecting Harry, I researched Bess and Harry’s life and felt like I had sense of who they were. Quite the pair, both of them were determined and both worked hard for their eventual success. It didn’t take me long to figure them out, and to begin writing them in a consistent way.
It is my hope that when you read Resurrecting Harry, I’m able to take you to the make believe time and enjoy a new happily-ever-after for these legendary people.

About the Author:

Born in Wellington, New Zealand, Philippa has always had her head in a book. For this she blames her father who thought Lord of the Rings was suitable bedtime reading for an eight year old. At the age of thirteen she began writing fantasy stories for herself.

She first earned a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature and Political Science and then a Bachelor of Applied Science in Library and Information Science. So soon enough she found herself working in the magical world of libraries where she stayed for over a decade.

Her first professional sale was in 1997, and since then she has gone on to produce mostly novel length fiction. In 2006 she became New Zealand’s first podcast novelist, and she has voiced and produced Weaver’s Web, Chasing the Bard, Weather Child and Digital Magic as podiobooks. Her podcasts have won both a Parsec Award and a Sir Julius Vogel award.

Philippa is the author of the Books of the Order series with Ace- Geist, Spectyr, Wrayth and Harbinger coming in July 2013.

Interview and Giveaway with HP Mallory

Today we have a very special guest, New York Times and USA Today Bestselling Author H.P. Mallory.
She's here to tell us about her newest book, Better Off Dead, which is the first in a brand new series and she's offering a giveaway of 10 ebook copies.

Hello HP welcome back to Fang-tastic Books.
Let's dive into the interview, Can you tell readers a little bit about yourself and what inspired to write in this particular genre?
Hi everyone! Well, I’ve always been enthralled with anything paranormal, ever since I was little so when I started writing, I think it was only natural that I would want to write in this genre. I just love the creative freedom I have as a paranormal author!
What inspired you to write this book?
I wrote this book because I’ve always loved Dante’s Inferno and thought it would be a really fun idea to do a modern spin on it. Although Dante’s Inferno isn’t central to the book, it’s sort of a sideline story but it was still really fun to write about.
Please tell us about your latest release.
My latest release is called Better Off Dead and it’s the first book in my Lily Harper series. The basic premise is about a woman who dies before it’s her time to go. She finds out her guardian angel is at fault as he wasn’t paying attention during her car accident. The afterlife (which is set up quite like the DMV) offers her the chance to live again with the caveat that she has to retrieve souls that were mistakenly sent to the Underground City (aka hell) during a Y2K computer glitch.
Was one of your characters more challenging to write than another?
One of the characters, Tallis Black, is an ancient Scottish Celt and his accent is really pretty difficult to capture!
Is there a character that you enjoyed writing more than any of the others?
Oh my gosh, yes. The character of the guardian angel, Bill, is probably my most favorite character I’ve ever written. He’s nothing like what you think of when you think of an angel. Instead, he’s course, crude, crass but lovable.
What is your favorite scene from the book? Could you share a little bit of it, without spoilers of course?
So far I’ve really enjoyed writing about Lily’s adventures in the first level of the Underground City. It’s just been really fun trying to capture her fear as well as her amazement by everything she sees around her.
Did you find anything really interesting while researching this or another book?
Yes. I did quite a bit of research into ancient Scotland and the Celts and Druids for the backstory on my Scotsman and really enjoyed reading about the history of Scotland. Fascinating stuff!
Can you tell readers a little bit about the world building in the book/series? How does this world differ from our normal world?
Well, it’s very magical, for one. Since it deals with the paranormal, anything really goes! There is quite a bit of mystery and the Underground City is pretty scary as well. I tried to incorporate things that have always scared me in shaping the levels of the city.
Do you ever suffer from writer’s block? How do you deal with it?
You know, I never have! Knock wood! I have moments where I don’t feel like writing but it’s not really writer’s block, it’s just laziness!
When did you consider yourself a writer?
I’ve wanted to be a writer since I was 12 years old. I’ve been writing stuff off and on my whole life. I really started full time, serious writing about five years ago when I wrote my first book, Fire Burn and Cauldron Bubble.
Where can readers find you on the web?
My website: www.hpmallory.comFacebook: www.facebook.com/hpmallory
Would you like to leave readers with a little teaser or excerpt from the book?
Sure!
This is the introduction of the Scottish character, Tallis Black:
I heard the deep voice coming from behind me and turned so quickly, I gave myself whiplash. But the pain in my neck was a distant memory as words died in my throat. It was all I could do to stare at the stranger, fear already enveloping me. He was, in a word ... intimidating. He was huge—maybe bordering on seven feet tall—easily the tallest man I’d ever seen. And his build was just as threatening: incredibly broad shoulders, offset with bulky pecs, and abs that could have redefined “washboard.” He wasn’t wearing anything besides a black kilt and what looked like Gladiator sandals—leather straps that snaked up his muscular legs. In his right hand he held a sword with an incredibly long blade—the tip of which currently rested in the snow.
Even though his body seemed built for combat, I couldn't pry my eyes away from his face. It was a face that would be very difficult to forget—with chiseled and square lines that didn’t seem at home in the category of “handsome.” In fact, I’m not sure you could have termed this guy handsome because he was entirely too masculine for the word. His eyes, which were currently narrowed on me, were navy blue and hard, just like the rest of him. In fact, hard was a good description. There was a certain hard edge to the frown that contorted his full lips and the scar that bisected his cheek. It ran from the tip of one eyebrow and ended at his jaw line. His short, black hair and olive complexion gave him a certain Mediterranean air, but there was no question as to his ancestry. He was Scottish, born and bred. If his kilt didn’t convince me, his Gaelic did.
Better Off DeadHP Mallory
From New York Times and USA Today Bestselling Author, HP Mallory, Comes BETTER OFF DEAD, the first book in the Lily Harper series!
If there’s such a thing as luck, Lily Harper definitely doesn’t have it.
Killed in a car accident before it’s her time to go, Lily learns that the hereafter isn’t exactly what she hoped it might be.
First, there’s AfterLife Enterprises, the company responsible for sorting out the recently dead and sending them on their way to the Kingdom, (aka happily ever after,) or to the Underground City, (not so happily ever after.) Learning that Lily’s death was indirectly their fault (her guardian angel, Bill, was MIA during her accident and was one of their employees,) Afterlife Enterprises offers Lily the chance to live again. But, as with most things involving the afterlife, beware the small print. Most notably, Lily will have to become a soul retriever, venturing into the bowels of the Underground City to retrieve souls that were mistakenly sent there by Afterlife Enterprises during a Y2K computer glitch.
Second, there’s angel Bill. As if risking her second life in the Underground City wasn’t enough, Lily’s guide to the Underground is none other than her incompetent, alcoholic, womanizing guardian angel, Bill, the antithesis of anything wholesome. With only Dante’s Inferno and Bill to help her in her quest, Lily’s future isn’t looking bright.
Finally, there’s the legendary bladesmith, Tallis Black. As Scottish as his kilts and heavy brogue, Tallis Black is a centuries-old Celt who, for reasons only known to him, offers to train Lily and act as her escort into the depths of the Underground City. Dark, brooding and definitely dangerous, Lily knows she shouldn’t trust Tallis, but she also can’t deny her attraction to him.
Between soul retrieving in hell, dealing with Bill and trying to figure out what’s in it for Tallis, Lily wonders if maybe she would’ve just been better off dead.

Review of Firmoo Glasses: Get Your First Pair Free

I was offered the chance to review a free pair of glasses from Firmoo which was really exciting because everyone in my household wears glasses- you can imagine how expensie that gets. Last years alone we spent over $600 on my little guy's glasses because he kept breaking his. They really need to make stylish and childproof glasses.

The awesome thing about Firmoo is that anyone can get their first pair free of glasses for free at http://www.firmoo.com/free-glasses.html, that's right you can get a pair of glasses for free. So if you or a family member is in need of glasses you need to go to Firmoo right now and check them out.

All you need is your lens prescription and your Pupillary Distance (which is not always on your prescription so if you go to the eye doctor for a check up make sure they write it on your prescription because it is hard to figure this out yourself)

Anyway having the opportunity to try a free pair was really exciting. I was scrolling through the Firmoo site looking at all they have to offer and my daughter was checking out the wide variety of stylish and fun frames and she spotted a pair she fell in love with- they even have her very favorite color on them- lime green.

They are total nerd girl adorable so we ordered them- style #LYST5105

And they look absolutely great on her.

They are so cute, so nerdy girl and she loves them.

And the best part is, they fit great, they are comfortable and she can see perfectly out of them.

So now she has a fabulous new pair of glasses.

If you have kids that wear glasses you know it's a necessity to have a back up pair, well she had grown out of hers. Now she has a great back up pair that is cute, stylish and fun.

The old opinion that glasses are only necessities for people with vision problems is gone. Glasses are increasingly becoming a fad, must-have accessories for celebs and fashionistas.

Everyday we can spot millions of non prescription glasses wearers and we are constantly fascinated by many noted film stars’ signature non prescription glasses. They instantly upgrade your look of modern, sexy, vintage or geek by wearing different styles of frames.

Any hot glasses/sunglasses /goggles frames you want can be found on Firmoo, and all are available for both prescription lenses and non-prescription lenses.

Are you desperate to have a new look?

Interview with an aristocrat vampire - Antoine from Seduce by Felicity Heaton

Interview with an aristocrat vampire - Antoine from Seduce by Felicity Heaton

It’s great to be here today at Fangtastic Books as part of my Vampirerotique Winter Tour celebrating the series and my latest release, Bewitch.
Today, I’ll be talking to the hero of the third book in the Vampire Erotic Theatre romance series, the very old and powerful, and cold yet damned hot Antoine.
Antoine is the younger of the two aristocrat brothers at Vampirerotique at just over one thousand years old and is a man of mystery in most of the staff and performers’ eyes. He’s a dark vampire with secrets locked deep in his heart. A man who has come close to losing his brother to bloodlust more than once and who keeps moving forwards despite knowing that same bloodlust runs in his veins, waiting for the day it will rule him, he keeps his distance from everyone and keeps to himself. He focuses on running Vampirerotique and working towards freeing Snow from his bloodlust. He has shut down his emotions, leaving only his brother in his heart, but all that changes when a young female vampire comes to the theatre determined to crack the barriers around his heart.
Read on to find out more about Antoine from the vampire himself.
FH: I have Antoine here with me today to talk about his book, Seduce. Firstly, can you tell us a little about yourself?
ANTOINE: I am an aristocrat vampire from a long line of purebloods, and the younger brother of Snow. I have walked this world for over one thousand years and was raised by my mother and my brother at our family home in Switzerland. My father was often busy with his businesses and society, so I did not see much of him when I was growing up. Around a century ago, I was approached by two elite vampires, Javier and Callum, about their idea of opening an erotic theatre catering exclusively to vampires. It seemed like a good business opportunity, and provided my brother with a stable environment where I could provide for him and see to his care.
FH: Your brother, Snow, means a lot to you, doesn’t he?
ANTOINE: Snow is very dear to me and I love him with all of my heart. He is my brother. He was more than a brother to me when we were younger too. I often spent a large amount of time alone because our parents were so busy with social affairs and business, and Snow was fully grown long before I was born. He would travel and whenever he returned, I would hound him until he had divulged every tale related to things he had seen, people he had met, and places he had visited. He was the source of my knowledge of the world beyond the walls of our mansion and the snowy forbidding mountains.
FH: I like that you are so close to your brother, but your closeness to him can often lead to you becoming distant from all others. In Seduce, you meet Sera. How did you meet and how did you feel about her initially?
ANTOINE: Sera challenged me from the very beginning. She put my self-control to the test and it was dangerous. There is a reason it is safer for me not to feel and not to become attached to anyone beyond my brother. I tread the same dark path as he does, one shadowed by bloodlust and the danger that comes with it. I wanted nothing to do with Sera, even as I secretly cried out for her. I had to deny my needs and desires, and I tried so hard to do just that, but she is relentless and in the end, my goddess of victory won her battle.
FH: Your relationship with Sera is complicated because of events in your past and potentially in your future. It must have taken a lot for you to allow her into your heart.
ANTOINE: It did. As much as Sera challenged me, I challenged her. I could not make it easy for her to claim my affection and she knew that, compromising at every turn to ensure she remained with me long enough to slowly work her way beyond my defences and shatter my self-control. I do not think she was prepared for all that came after.
FH: Can you tell us about what happened in your story?
ANTOINE: I had avoided love for many centuries, and avoided pleasures of the flesh along with it. My focus had been on my brother for so long and I had closed myself off to emotions. I did not want to feel. Sera wanted me, and she, *he smiles* well, she refused to give up on me. She did everything in her power to convince me that I could be with her, without fear and reservation, and that I did not have to be alone.
FH: I personally think it’s about time that you found someone who could love you for who you are, and could help heal the pain you hold in your heart. How has life been since the events that happened and brought you together?
ANTOINE: Blissful. Infuriating. Sera can be as irritating as she can be delightful. She tests me every day, pushes me to my limit at times, and never backs down. Such a young vampire should not attempt dominance over one my age and of my breeding. She even taunts and teases Snow, although I think my brother secretly enjoys her treatment of him. He let slip once that it makes him feel normal and accepted that Sera refuses to obey him in any way and will sit with him and talk nonsense about daily life outside the theatre. She is a joy to be with though. A light I never thought I would have in my life.
FH: I’m glad to hear that you’ve finally met your match and have someone to share your life with, besides your brother. Your story, Seduce, is a book in a series. Can you tell us a little about the series and can we expect see more of you in other stories in this series?
ANTOINE: I believe I have been in every story so far and will feature in every story to come. As the general manager of Vampirerotique, and because of my brother, I never leave the theatre. I am there every night, whether it’s overseeing the performances or attending business matters. Many changes have taken place in the past year. Changes that will no doubt affect Vampirerotique for years to come so the place will never be the same. It is no longer the business of bachelors. I find it difficult to believe considering how intent some of the males were on remaining single.
FH: A little like you were?
ANTOINE: *smiles again* Yes. I had no intention of falling in love because I thought it would take too much of my time and attention away from Snow, and he needed me... it turns out that seeing me with Sera has been good for Snow and has eased his burden.
FH: Are you hopeful that your brother can find love as you have?
ANTOINE: I will admit that I am. I think that it could soothe his bloodlust and help him control it. Sera has shown me that I can control my darker urges and can have a relationship with someone. I wish the same for Snow.
FH: Spoken like a true loving brother. I’ll end on something silly that I ask everyone I interview. Describe yourself in one word?
ANTOINE: Hopeful.
FH: That choice certainly makes sense these days and I too hope that your future and Snow’s future will be less bleak now and far brighter soon. Thank you for meeting with me today and chatting. Is there anything else that you’d like to add?
ANTOINE: Only that if you intend to interview my brother, please take any necessary precautions. While he does have a soft spot for you and often refers to you as his writer female, he cannot control himself when his bloodlust strikes. I would not want you to be hurt.
FH: Aw, thank you. I’ll make sure that I take care when I interview him. Thank you for being here today and being so open and honest. Sera really has been fantastic for you.
I hope you have all enjoyed this insight into Seduce and life at Vampirerotique through the eyes of one of the sinfully sexy heroes!

Seduce (Vampire Erotic Theatre Romance Series Book 3)
Felicity Heaton
Bloodlust runs in his veins, a dark master waiting for the day it will reign over him. Now a woman with a pure soul and wicked intentions has him in her sights and is determined to crack the ice around his heart, and she might save or damn him.

Antoine stands apart from the world around him, a dangerous and broken soul who must maintain rigid control at all times or risk his dark addiction finally seizing hold of him. The shadows of his past haunt him and he sees his bleak future each night when his brother wakes screaming, his blood addiction turning him savage. He cannot allow himself to feel, but when Sera walks into Vampirerotique, the erotic theatre he runs with three other vampires, to audition, she awakens dangerous desires in him—hungers that could spell the end of both of them.

Sera has wanted Antoine since the night she first saw the gorgeous aristocrat vampire. She can’t ignore the deep carnal hunger he stirs in her or the ache to know the heat of his touch. With the help of her sire, an ex-performer at Vampirerotique, she sets in motion a game of seduction, one designed to thaw the ice in Antoine’s veins and make him burn for her.

When Sera discovers the shocking truth about his past and the darkness that lurks within him, will she be strong enough to seize his heart with both hands and win him forever or will she lose him to the ghosts that still haunt him?
