Oranj Palm Vacation Rentals Wants Me To Not Get My COVID Vaccine, Ryan Field Books

Oranj Palm Vacation Rentals Wants me To Not Get MY COVID Vaccine

This is just a small post about a personal experience Tony and I just had with a vacation rental company in Palm Springs, CA called Oranj Palm. You can check them out here.  But just beware!

I'll keep it short and sweet, and this is exactly how it went down. Tony and I rented a place in Palm Springs for the month of March through this company called Oranj Palm, and we did this back in November. At the time, we could not have predict...

Cities With Highest Rate of Gay Households, Ryan Field Books

Cities With Highest Rate of Gay Households

I try to always keep posts upbeat and positive, and I think this is encouraging. In the past, there were so many closeted gay couples living everywhere, so quietly and discreetly, we didn't even have a way of gathering valid information like this. But times have clearly changed.

This is really interesting to me because Tony and I know so many gay couples who've moved to Florida from places like New Hope. Basically, New Hope is so gentrified now there are...

RIP Richard Barclay, Entertainer and Eileen Fulton's Manager, Ryan Field Books

RIP Richard Barclay, Entertainer and Eileen Fulton's Manager

When I owned my gallery in downtown New Hope, PA back in the 1990s, I met a lot of interesting people from all over the world. My gallery was located next door to a bed and breakfast called The Hacienda and all of the cabaret singers who came to town on the weekends would stay there. I met so many performers, from Lainie Kazan to Kay Ballard, to Eileen Fulton, that it's sometimes hard to remember them all. They would all perform their a...

First major league openly gay rugby player, Ryan Field Books

First openly gay major league rugby player
Here’s another coming out story that’s been making news. These stories are still significant because they show how many gay people are still in the closet. They are also still inspiring for all of us.
He’s a Massachusetts native and he came out on Instagram.
“Being able to connect my passion for rugby with my passion for being outspoken about LGBTQ rights and equality ... I think that being able to marry those things together is an incredible opportunity,...

Hot Gay Kiss in Cadbury Cream Egg Ad Sparks Outrage, Ryan Field Books

Hot Gay Kiss in Cadbury Cream Egg Ad Sparks Outrage

In book publishing, up until fairly recently, anything with gay content was considered "adult material." It didn't have to be sexual either. It could have been a story about two gay men falling in love and living happily ever after...no sex at all...and that would have been considered adult content not suitable for children. And still, even today, in many cases that backward idiotic mindset is still around. Even with regard to plain old-fashione...

Our Homophobic Straight Allies and Bridgerton's Queer Baiting Tactics, Ryan Field Books

Our Homophobic Straight Allies and Bridgerton's Queer Baiting Tactics

I see this mainly happening on Twitter all the time. Quasi enlightened straights who call themselves LGBTQ allies that are constantly pulling homophobic stunts without even knowing they are doing this. It's a special kind of cluelessness that comes from having straight white privilege all your life. In this particular case, I'm talking about how all the enlightened straights are raving about the Netflix series, Bridgerton, and...

Bill To Prevent Conversion Therapy Bans In AZ, Ryan Field Books

Bill To Prevent Conversion Therapy Ban In AZ

A lot of places have already banned conversion therapy. It’s a hideous backward therapy that ruins lives.

PHOENIX — Arizona State Sen. Vince Leach is sponsoring a bill with the backing of several Republicans that would prevent any municipality or county from banning so-called gay “conversion therapy.”

Here’s More It’s really not therapy it’s abuse. Imagine how you would feel if you were straight and someone tried to turn you gay. People who are gay are ...

Doing Yellowface in the Movie "Humor Me", Ryan Field Books

Doing Yellowface in the Movie "Humor Me"

There's a movie on Amazon Prime right now that's fairly recent titled, "Humor Me." It's not a high-budget feature film or anything that was meant to win awards, and it wouldn't be a bad film if it wasn't for one simple thing. They use yellowface. There's a scene in the movie where they produce a haphazard version of The Mikado and the straight white women are all performing in yellowface. And it's not like they had to use this play. I think any other play...

A Gay Dad Doesn't Mind Being Called "Mom", Ryan Field Books

A Gay Dad Doesn't Mind Being Called "Mom"
This article makes me want to gag in so many ways, but I also see the validity to it as well. I'm not being glib about it either. The typical family structure has been slowly changing for a while now, and many of us are often left wondering how to handle certain situations. For example, here's a story about a gay dad who's worried about traditional gender roles, with respect to things like how his kids are going to feel when their teachers start talking a...

Gay Sex During COVID in the UK, Ryan Field Books

Gay Sex During COVID in the UK

I have posted about gay men having (or not having) sex during the lockdowns and I find it is a continuing discussion. Here’s something else about that. It’s an interesting survey from a different POV.

An online survey found that COVID-19 restrictions impacted access to sexual health services, sexual behaviour and mental health of HIV-negative gay men in London.

Here’s more   Frankly, I think some things should be private.
