Freedom to Marry

I like to post these things for those who aren't familiar with the organization, "Freedom to Marry," and for those who are but aren't on the mailing list. The beginning is a nice thank you, and the rest I'm posting below talks more about the future.

Here's a link to the homepage of their web site, where you'll find all the lastest information out there on marriage equality.

From my inbox:

Because of your decision to be on the right side of history, 2012 was a triumphant year for Freedom to Marr...

Matt Bomer on The New Normal; New Release: The Wall Street Shark; FREE Excerpt

As I posted earlier this month, actor Matt Bomer of "White Collar" fame and "Fifty Shades of Grey" is he gonna get the part of Christian fame, guest starred last night on TV's "The New Normal." And it was not only a great show, it added another layer of what I think is an important reality when it comes to gay relationships in a general sense. And I don't like to generalize anything.

I know I've been back and forth about TNN. But I keep watching it and I haven't formed a complete opinion yet,...

Authors Acting As Business People: Customer Service

To a certain extent, all authors have to think and act like business people sometimes. Especially when it comes to marketing and promotion. Getting the information out there, so to speak, is an important process when it comes to a book release. And if you don't do that you could wind up confusing people without even knowing it.

After being in business myself for a long time, I learned certain things. One is never take anything for granted, and another is keep it simple and at eye level....

Sneak Preview: "With This Cowboy I Love So Freely"

I like to post these sneak previews because they inform readers about upcoming books, and they actually keep me organized. When something is up on the blog, it's always a good source for me to go back and use if I need to do it. And I never know when that might happen.

The following information is from my upcoming anthology with Loveyoudivine.com. For those who follow this blog, you've seen me mention more than once that LYD is the first e-publisher I ever worked with, and I started doin...

AIDS Silent History: Act Up; We the People; Ed Savitz; Lynne Abraham; Jerry Sandusky

When I posted about Matt Bomer starring in the new HBO film, "The Normal Heart," by Larry Kramer, I mentioned I would write something else about AIDS that people may or may not know. A large part of what I recall as a kid had to do with a group called Act Up.

Although this topic could be a non-fiction book, I'm only linking to a few articles I found. And the photo above is one of my first pieces of published fiction that I wrote for a group called "We The People," in Philadelphia that I'...

Vincenzo Galdi: Photos of "Men Who Prefer Men"

I was searching around at Deviantart for free to use photos and got a little sidetracked. But it was worth it, because I wouldn't have found out about this had I been doing something else.

Vincenzo Galdi portrayed by Wilhelm von Plüschow in Posillipo, around 1890.

There is little information on the life of Vincenzo Galdi. Vincenzo became known as an active photographer during 1880 to 1910, while working for Guglielmo Plüschow in Rome.
Galdi, along with William von Glœden and Guglielmo Plüschow,...

Matt Bomer to Star in Larry Kramer's "The Normal Heart"

According to this article, Matt Bomer is scheduled to star in Larry Kramer's "The Normal Heart" on HBO. It's going to be directed by Ryan Murphy (Glee), and will also star Julia Roberts and Mark Ruffalo.

In this case, I have a feeling it's going to be authentic with Murphy as the director. He tends to get a bit too political sometimes, but in this case, with this film, I don't think it's possible to get too political...or rant and scream too much about. If that is what he intends to do....

What Actually Defines a Twink?

What actually defines a twink can vary as far and wide as to what attracts one person to another. I find Prince Harry extremely attractive, but I'm sure others would disagree with me. And that's normal, because there are no rules for attraction.

You'd think that it would be simple to define a twink, but it's not always like that. For instance, one night last summer I was with a group of guys and we were arguing about when "twinkdom" ends. I think you've ended you're twink years at twenty...
