The Most Adorable Gay Armenian Couple Allegedly Commits Suicide, Ryan Field Books

The Most Adorable Gay Armenian Couple Allegedly Commits Suicide

This is a sad story. And it's sad that it is still happening today. A gay couple came out to their families in Armenia and when their families rejected them they allegedly committed suicide.

According to this link, they posted their intentions to commit suicide on Insta, shared a photo of themselves kissing, and then jumped off a bridge.

Most of Armenia is supposedly homophobic and it's a socially conservative country where most of t...

Sam Williams Son of Hank Williams and His Gay Identity, Ryan Field Books

Sam Williams Son of Hank Williams and His Gay Identity

With all that's going on now regarding the Paul Pelosi incident, here's a nice story about Sam Williams and his own gay identity. The Paul Pelosi thing is really bothering me because our alleged allies are once again stabbing us in the back. They seem to think it's inconceivable that Paul Pelosi might be gay. They are attaching shame to it and that's totally wrong. It shouldn't matter one way or the other if Pelosi is gay or not. What really ...

A Wonderful Positive Review for Billy Eichner's "Bros," Ryan Field Books

A Wonderful Positive Review for Billy Eichner's "Bros"

In the past, dating back to films like The Boys in the Band, straight actors would almost always play gayface. In the film, Philadelphia, that was released in the 90s, Tom Hanks played gayface and he did a wonderful job. However, Tom Hanks recently made a statement that he would not play gayface nowadays because that would be wrong. It would be cultural appropriation. Just because you can do something doesn't mean you should be doing it.

In ...

When Our Gay "Allies" Brag and Boast About Going to Homophobic Countries that Criminalize Us, Ryan Field Books

When Our Gay "Allies" Brag and Boast About Going to Homophobic Countries that Criminalize Us

There are many frustrating things I could talk about with regard to our alleged gay "allies," but I'll just focus on this one issue for now. It's something that really bothers me, and if you're gay it should bother you, too.

I follow this one celebrity on Facebook and she's always claimed to be a gay ally. She seems like a nice person. She's always friendly. However, she is a classic example of how straig...

Homophobic Dad In Palm Beach Florida Doesn't Want Rainbow Flags in School, Russia Will Ban LGBTQ "Propaganda" with Adults Now, Ryan Field Books

Homophobic Dad In Palm Beach Florida Doesn't Want Rainbow Flags in School

Well, it didn't take long for the don't say gay bill in Florida to kick in.

The father of a child in a Palm Beach school is suing Palm Beach County because a teacher allegedly  put up rainbow flags and started talking about LGBTQ issues. And Palm Beach County always seemed more liberal to me. But I could be wrong about that.

The homophobic father and son claim to be orthodox Christians who think that anything gay as a sin....

British Foreign Secretary Suggests Gay World Cup Fans to Bow Down To Homophobic Qatar; Ryan Field Books

British Foreign Secretary Suggests Gay World Cup Fans to Bow Down To Homophobic Qatar

Once again we see an incident where straight privilege is so strong they guy doesn't even understand what's happening to gay people here. In short, the World Cup is being held this year in one of the most homophobic countries on this planet. Qatar criminalized all gay "activity." And we all know what that means.

And now the British Foreign Secretary, James Cleverly, made some not so clever remarks about gay fan...

LGBTQ Abuse Continues in Qatar In Spite of World Cup Event, Gay Cuban Couples Can Now Marry, Ryan Field Books

LGBTQ Abuse Continues in Qatar In Spite of World Cup Event

I've posted about the abuse and homophobia in Qatar earlier this month, and now it's making news again. This time is because Preventive Security forces in Qatar are now arresting LGBTQ people in public places at random.

Human Rights Watch has been documenting what's been happening and so far they have at least 6 cases of LGBTQ abuse and Qatar is forcing conversion therapy on some.

It's really very disturbing. You can read it all, here.  ...

"My Policeman" the Movie and Cultural Appropriation, Ryan Field Books

"My Policeman" the Movie and Cultural Appropriation

First of all, for those who don't know, here's a good definition of Cultural Appropriation. It's short and it's sweet.

Cultural appropriation takes place when members of a majority group adopt cultural elements of a minority group.

This could include any small marginalized group of people. Years ago those with straight white privilege did this to Native Americans, and even Asian people. And NO ONE is more guilty of cultural appropriation than th...

Let's All Say Gay: Op-Ed Piece from the NYT, Ryan Field Books

Let's All Say Gay: Op-Ed Piece from the NYT

Here is an opinion piece from the NYT that talks about using words like queer instead of gay, and how language and communication have changed over the years.

In fact, they discuss how the word gay is rarely used anymore. They also mention how the mainstream media now tends to avoid the word Lesbian. I tend to do that, too. I'll just refer to lesbians as queer women.

You can read it all in full, here. I have to admit that I find it fascinating. The way ...
