Gay Rom-Com "Bros" Won't Be Seen in Homophobic Middle East Because of Gay Sex Scenes, Ryan Field Books
Gay Rom-Com "Bros" Won't Be Seen in Homophobic Middle East Because of Gay Sex Scenes
I guess this should have been expected. Billy Eichner's Bros is making history, so they say, because it's the first gay Rom-Com by a major studio. I know I have high hopes for this film because it's gay content by gay men. However, it won't be making any history in the notoriously homophobic Middle East.
Bros is set to drop on September 30th and it will be seen around the world, except for the Middle East, and t...

Cuba's Yes Vote On New Gay-Friendly Laws, Ryan Field Books
Cuba's Yes Vote On New Gay-Friendly Laws
This is refreshing to see. Cuban voters will now be able to vote for "family code," which means legalized gay marriage and more rights for women.
They have been promoting all this on TV, Radio, and even roadside billboards. Some of the things in the new code include same-sex marriage and civil unions, plus allowing same-sex couples to adopt. The big issue with this vote is a bad economy and because this vote is the first of its kind, it can get tricky.
Of...

Gay History: Two Openly Gay Candidates Run Against Each Other for Office in New York
While Hollywood seems to be going backward with regard to actors coming out as gay, politics continues to move forward. There are supposedly 1,095 LGBTQ people who are running or did run for all kinds of political offices this year. And the numbers are up considerably from 2020.
This year, in New York, two openly gay candidates are running against each other for the first time in history. Robert Zimmerman is a D...

LGB Gay Activist Assaulted by Trans People at Pride in Vermont, Ryan Field Books
LGB Gay Activist Assaulted by Trans People at Pride in Vermont
It's such a shame this had to happen in Vermont. It was one of the first states to begin fighting for gay marriage. But the world is constantly changing and new things are popping up each day.
In case you didn't know, there is this group on the fringes that call themselves LGB. In short, this means they want nothing at all to do with anyone who falls under the LGBTQIA+ umbrella. I know that sounds counterproductive, but it is what it ...

What Exactly Is the Concept of Whataboutism? Ryan Field Books
What Exactly Is the Concept of Whataboutism?
Some nasty homophobic straight woman on Twitter accused me of whataboutism because I commented on a tweet where they were discussing Iranian women. I understand fully that it's not always easy for some women in these restrictive Muslim countries, but my comment was about how LGBTQIA people are treated. And how gay men are still criminalized for sodomy. Clearly, I meant no disrespect to Iranian women. I even began the Tweet with, "I don't mean to go o...

Billy Eichner's Gay Rom Com "Bros," Ryan Field Books
Billy Eichner's Gay Rom Com "Bros"
Unlike the quasi-gay movie The Policeman with straight Harry Styles playing gay for pay, Billy Eichner has a new film out that is not only authentic gay content but openly gay actors star in it. It's titled, Bros, and it was not written by a straight white woman.
Eichner is doing, basically, what gay romance writers and publishers were doing with books about ten years ago. He made a rom-com about a gay couple because no one really ever did that before. Like I sa...

There's a New LGBTQIA Documentary Out About Exposing Brazil President Jair Bolsonaro, Ryan Field Books
There's a New LGBTQIA Documentary Out About Exposing Brazil President Jair Bolsonaro
Now here is a documentary I want to watch. It's about exposing the views of Brazilian President, Jair Bolsonaro. He also happens to be up for reelection.
According to many sources, Bolsonaro is a right-wing conservative who is known for his alleged racist and anti-LGBTQ beliefs.
The man who made the documentary, Fernando Grostein Andrade, claims he wants to expose Bolsonaro to the entire world so they know what's...
The United Arab Emirates Enforces Another Don't Say Gay Law Just Like Florida, Ryan Field Books
The United Arab Emirates Enforces Another Don't Say Gay Law Just Like Florida
On the global front, we are all just learning that the United Arab Emirates (UAE) is now enforcing one of those don't say gay laws. For those who don't know, the official religion there is Islam. And we all know that Islam hates gay people. That's just a fact that can't be argued. Here's more about (UAE) They basically fall short on all human rights.
That's not all. The UAE is notoriously anti-LGBTQIA. And the new don...

My Books Are Now On "Radish," A Whole New Concept for Fiction
My publisher in NY, Riverdaleavebooks, asked me to be part of a new concept in fiction and I couldn't wait to do it. It's a website called Radish, and it seems to be catching on fast. Instead of me doing any descriptions, here is what Radish is doing.

Gay Men In Florida Complain There Aren't Enough Monkeypox Vaccines, Ryan Field Books
Gay Men In Florida Complain There Aren't Enough Monkeypox Vaccines
This article links to a story where gay men in Florida think no one is going out of their way to help them with more monkeypox vaccines. They interviewed a gay 30-year-old, Dan DeChellis, who lives in Orlando where there are no vaccines. However, get this, he drove down to Wilton Manors with a group of gay friends and they all got vaccines down there. It's only about a 3-hour drive.
I don't know what this guy is complaining about...
