Robbie Rogers Gay Masculinity; Twinks, Daddies, Jocks; Transgender Fairy Dolls

Robbie Rogers Gay Maculinity

It was hard to title this part of the post. I thought about using "Gay Stereotypes" and a variety of other interesting words often used with respect to gay men. I've often talked about how we usually see only one type of gay man portrayed in the mainstream, when the truth is that there are all kinds of gay men and if people really knew this there might not be any stereotypes at all.

But as it stands this is still a discreet topic and many gay men haven't even come o...

Christmas Past by Ryan Field

Christmas Past by Ryan Field

Below is a post I wrote for Queertown Abbey's 12 Days of Christmas event this December. When they asked me to write it and I noticed they wanted specific traditions and recipes, I wasn't sure what to do. I guess in a general sense Tony and I spend Christmas in certain ways, but we've never had any set traditions that went from year to year. I love restaurants and great food, but I'd rather skip a meal than cook one, so traditional recipes were out of the question....

Gay Gang Rape; Gay Sword Attack; Family-Friendly Pink Flamingos John Waters

Gay Gang Rape

Some stories are harder to post about than others, and this is one of them. A young guy from Quetzaltenango, Guatemala was disowned by his family for being gay. They threw him out with nothing. He left home and got a job working in a clothing store. What happened after that leaves me cold.

Earlier this year, local gang members began extorting him for money. The men repeatedly called him a “faggot piece of shit” and a “whore.” One day in March, they ganged up and forced him...

Thank You Tuc Watkins; Straight Guys Kissing; Washington Florist Gay Hate

Thank You Tuc Watkins

Update Below

Remember yesterday's post, where I linked to a piece about Jesse Ferguson of Modern Family responding to a negative comment made by another actor, Tuc Watkins? Evidently, Watkins isn't letting Ferguson get the last word. This time Watkins offered a brilliant apology, plus an explanation that I found excellent.

Dear Jesse,
I’m glad to see that a FB post can stoke a fire that burns in the LGBT community, and supporters of our community.

Many doors have opened in g...

TLC TV Gay Mormon Men; Cheap Undies Christmas Underwear Party; Jesse Tyler Ferguson On Gayface

TLC TV Gay Mormon Men

Evidently, gay Mormon men don't consider themselves gay because they're married to women...or have girlfriends. There's a new TLC TV show airing on the topic. Once again, reality TV; it is what it is.

I'm not going to try to figure this one out. Here's an excerpt:

This January, The Learning Channel is set to air My Husband Is Not Gay," a show that features openly gay Mormon men who date and marry women. Apply palm directly to forehead. The show features three men who are s...

Gay Pride Attack Austin; Cher Crap; Gays in Cuba and Obama

Gay Pride Attack Austin

An Army vet, Lambert Borgardt, received a 10 year probation sentence plus two hours of community service for his brutal attack on two gay men at Austin Pride in 2012. Borgardt left one of the gay men beaten to the point where he lost five teeth, and the other was left beaten to the point of a fractured nose.

According to this source, this is why the attack on the gay men took place:

The duo was waiting for their pizza at a food truck after attending gay pride festivities...

"James Flacco" and Sony; Warwick Rowers Full Frontal Nudity; One Direction Man Crushes

"James Flacco" and Sony

I'm not a fan of James Franco (and the way he gay baits), Seth Rogen, or "The Interview." And it bothers me immensely that we're even discussing this important matter of censorship and terrorism with such a ridiculous film and such arrogant privileged people. But it is what it is. And just because it's a hideous film doesn't mean anyone has the right to censor it.

At least the President showed us he's not as familiar with James Franco as others are...by referring to him...

Racism on The View; Rimming Safety Tips; Virgin Robbie Rogers

Racism on The View

I've seen this topic come up before on Twitter several times in the past few weeks and I think it's worth posting about. (It's not the exact definition of cultural appropriation, but I think it's a sneaky passive aggressive form of cultural appropriation, like when someone not part of a minority tries to take on the elements of a particular minority.) In this case, Rosie O'Donnell was trying to tell Whoopi Goldberg what racism is and how she understands it as well as Whoopi....

Russell Tovey: Rimming on "Looking"; Dick Necklace Outrage; 10 Year Old Looking for Boys

Russell Tovey: Rimming on "Looking"

In this article out "Looking" actor, Russell Tovey, discusses his sex scenes with Jonathan Groff, and a cake that says, "Birthdays are like rim jobs you gotta get involved open up and get ready for another great year." I guess commas don't count in cake.

Tovey said this about the sex scenes:

"As the season goes on you'll see where that comes from," Tovey quips. "We were on a night shoot during our lunch and that cake turned up and I was over the moon. My mom a...

Sony Attackers and James Franco

This isn't something I would normally post, but since I've been following the interesting gay baiting tactics James Franco and Seth Rogan continue to do all over social media I think it's the most important Franco related story out there to date. At least it beats his pretending to suck Seth Rogan's face.

The Sony Attackers, who refer to themselves as The Guardians of Peace, are now threatening horrific terrorist attacks at movie theaters where Franco and Rogan'...
