Queer Culture: Not Sitting In Chairs the Normal Way, Rick Cosnett Comes Out As Gay, Ryan Field Books

Queer Culture: Not Sitting In Chairs the Normal Way

I love reading about things like this, and I see it on social media all the time. It's not something you'll want to take too seriously, but it's still amusing to read.

It’s a commonly accepted fact in the queer community that not being straight not sitting in chairs conventionally. Just curl your legs beneath you and check out the tweets, posts, and works of art below...

You can check them all out, here. It's a series of tweets. Although...

Gay Bathhouses Making A Comeback, Trump Says He'd Vote For A Gay Presidential Candidate, Ryan Field Books

Gay Bathhouses Making A Comeback

I was only a kid at the time, but I do actually remember hearing people talk about gay bathhouses closing during the AIDS crisis. And of course the older I got and the more I learned about gay culture I continued to hear about bathhouses. But for me and millions of other gay men like me gay bathhouses weren't a huge part of our lives. And there really aren't many that survived. Apparently, though, this might be changing.

“Decades later, with the emergence...

Vietnam Teaches Young People Gay Is A Disease, The Average Penis Size Is Getting Bigger, Ryan Field Books

Vietnam Teaches Young People Gay Is A Disease

Here's another one of those horrible stories from one of those horrible countries where gay people have to suffer the fresh hells of homophobia and discrimination at its worst. And no one ever talks about it.

Young people in Vietnam continue to be taught at home and at school that same-sex attraction is a “disease” and a “mental illness” that can be cured and treated, despite legislation designed to support and protect LGBTQ+ rights....

Pete Buttigieg Didn't Plan To Be the Gay Candidate, Complaints About Offensive Hot Gay TV Kiss, Ryan Field Books,

Pete Buttigieg Didn't Plan To Be the Gay Candidate

Buttigieg came in second yesterday in New Hampshire and is moving forward to the next step in his campaign. So I think these articles are interesting in a general sense because they give more personal details about candidates.

The fact that Buttigieg has been the first openly gay candidate running for President in the US to ever get this far is a big deal. And even though there's more to Buttigieg than being gay, it's a fact that can't be...

Nathan Lane Talks About Oprah Trying To Out Him On TV, What A Gay Candidate Is Supposed To Look Like, Ryan Field Books,

Nathan Lane Talks About Oprah Trying To Out Him On TV

I don't think there's anything on this earth that annoys me more than when someone tries to out an LGBTQ person. It's a personal and private decision and no one has the right to force anyone out of the closet...or to make them feel any fear or guilt about not coming out. Not even if you believe it's the best thing for that person.

With that said, Nathan Lane did an interview recently where he talks about how Oprah tried to out him. At...

Hot Guys Wearing Onesies, Being Gay On the Campaign Trail With Pete Buttigieg, Ryan Field Books

Hot Guys Wearing Onesies

This reminds me of when a lot of gay clubs used to have underwear parties back in the 90s. Only back then no one wore onesies. Sadly, there aren't that many gay clubs left. But those that are still around are still having parties like this.

When the temperatures drop, it’s nice to get cozy in your jammies. These one-piece looks are sexy—sometimes covering up a little creates some mystery. Check out these parties where pajamas, long underwear, and onesies are the...

"The Queen" Mother of Drag Documentary on Netflix, London Book Shop "Gay's the World" Attacked Again, Ryan Field Books

"The Queen" Mother of Drag Documentary on Netflix

I watched this documentary the other night because I was interested in the information from a gay cultural POV, and also to see how it relates to LGBTQ history. I really don't know much about drag culture, but I know a little from what I've seen over the years, and this documentary was fascinating to watch. For those of us who weren't around, it's also interesting to see what the world was like before AIDS. That's something we don't see very...

Madonna's Latest Tour Might Have Done Her In, Pete Buttigieg Tells Homophobe He Loves His Husband, Ryan Field Books

Madonna's Latest Tour Might Have Done Her In

This article talks about Madonna's Madam X Tour and how it's allegedly been plagued with issues from the start. Even though some reviews have been positive, she hasn't been getting the best press.

For one thing, she wouldn't allow cell phones. But this demand is really odd...

And she demanded the air conditioning in every venue be turned off, creating a stifling, near-suffocating experience, especially for fans seated in the balconies.

You can...

Pete Buttigieg Surges In New Hampshire After Iowa, Veteran TV Host Comes Out As Gay, Ryan Field Books,

Pete Buttigieg Surges In New Hampshire After Iowa

As of right now I believe Buttigieg won Iowa, but it was very close. He's almost even with Bernie Sanders, so it's still hard to predict what's going to happen in New Hampshire. I'm posting about this here because it's making history. This is the first time an openly gay candidate has ever gone this far in any presidential election. You can be damn sure I'm not going to miss a minute of that. The Stonewall uprising only happened 50 years ago....
