Why We Are Now Self-Quarantined
There is probably nothing I would rather do less in this world than be in self-quarantine, however, Tony and I decided to go into self-quarantine over the weekend for very specific, simple reasons.
The most important reason is that the world has been shut down. This isn't an exaggeration. The coronavirus isn't concentrated in one area now. It's global. And last I heard nothing like this has ever happened before in our lifetimes. Just think about that. They closed...

Here's a question from Reddit that sparked an interesting discussion. Someone asked gay guys if they get insulted if someone calls them straight. The replies are interesting.
Straight-acting is a fetish among gays, so Id imagine most of us would be flattered by it, and/or affirmed in our heteronormative impulses, one user replied. [In my opinion], insulting someone by calling them straight is deliciously ironic.
Frankly, I don't think it's even relevant....

On the one hand, I don't really like the concept of it in a general sense and I try not to do it, but on the other hand it's really hard to support something or someone that's insulted you, aggravated you, banned you, or diminished you. Or, when a celebrity says something really stupid and you just can't anymore. It's not that you don't appreciate their right to free speech, it's just that you don't want to host their opinions...

I remember posting about this when Grindr was sold in 2016 to Beijing Kunlun Tech. They purchased it from the original creator, Joel SimKhal.
Apparently, it's being sold again. There have also been security threat and information sharing issues with apps like this and the US Government's Committee on Foreign Investment has been getting involved.
Even though no one's totally sure who's actually making the purchase, there have been speculations...
