Gay Fairytale Lost for 200 Years; Ryan Field Books

Gay Fairytale Lost for 200 Years

I love things like this because we don't have much gay history of any kind. Everything gay related has always been so discreet we have to read between the lines. Being gay was simply not something that was openly discussed. And, being gay is almost always associated with sex and sexuality, not folklore or stories. They never realize that being gay it about more than just sex.

However, this is unique.

His research suggests that not only did gay fairytale “The Dog A...

Randy Rainbow's Older Racist Transphobic Tweets Resurface

And here so many people thought Randy Rainbow was so open-minded, fair, honest, and pure. He comes across as holier than thou. And then you read something like this and you're like, WTF.

Randy Rainbow, a political satirist and singer who rose to fame on the Internet with his viral YouTube videos, is coming under fire on Twitter this week after several racist and transphobic tweets made as far back as 2010 have resurfaced.

Of course Rainbow d...

Gay Young Dems Leader of Maryland Found Dead; Ryan Field Books

Gay Young Dems Leader of Maryland Found Dead

I've noticed that gay news, in general, is changing lately and I'm trying to change with it. Those all gay clickbait web sites that were so popular 10 years ago don't interest me any longer, and I'm not even totally sure why. Maybe it's just the way things are evolving. This article below is from the Washington Blade, which has been around for a very long, long time. In other words, it's not one of those cheesy gay online presses with no journalistic b...

Annette Bening Explains Why Cis Actors Shouldn't Play Trans Roles; Ryan Field Books

Annette Bening Explains Why Cis Actors Shouldn't Play Trans Roles

I've been talking about this for a long time, and I have the posts here on this web site to prove it. I don't like it when straight actors play gay face, and I especially don't like to see cis actors play trans roles. It has nothing to do with "acting." Any good actor can play any role. That's not the argument here. The moral and ethical question is should they be playing any role? You don't see white actors playing blackface anymo...

Why There Are No Famous Gay Male Comedians; Ryan Field Books

Why There Are No Famous Gay Male Comedians

This is interesting, and it's something I've noticed all my life. An anthropology student named Jason Frank is working on a study called, "Fairies and Funnies: Gay Men In Stand Up Comedy.

Frank believes society prefers narratives about gay men leading lives of tragedy and thus can’t see gay comedians in the same light as their lesbian counterparts.

It is a good point, but I'm not sure how true it is. We do have Billy Eichner and Stephen Fry, plus a few ...

15 Life Lessons From An Older Gay Gentleman; Ryan Field Books

15 Life Lessons From  An Older Gay Gentleman; Ryan Field Books

Tony and I were always fortunate enough to be around older gay people...both single and couples...to get advice and hear wisdom. And I think that's important for younger gay people to hear.

Things are a little easier now for younger gay people, but not totally. There are still issues we all deal with.

“What I wish would have been available to me when I was 20, was the opportunity to speak with someone who had experienced what I was expe...

Steven Universe Creator Was Told Gay Romance Could End the Show; Ryan Field Books

Of course this interests me because I write gay romance novels. But it should interest all gay people who are looking for more gay content.

Gay Man Refused Entry to Casino Because He Carries a Purse; Ryan Field Books

Gay Man Refused Entry to Casino Because He Carries a Purse

Well here's a first for me. So many men these days carry around some kind of bag or satchel and no one even notices. No one cares .But this guy was targeted for carrying a purse...or what he refers to as a murse.

“I informed the security guard that this is my man purse (murse) and I would not be putting it back in the car, to which I was told men do not carry purses, they carry bags.”

Here's the link to more.  It's actually a cute purse, to...
