Why There Are No Famous Gay Male Comedians

This is interesting, and it's something I've noticed all my life. An anthropology student named Jason Frank is working on a study called, "Fairies and Funnies: Gay Men In Stand Up Comedy.

 Frank believes society prefers narratives about gay men leading lives of tragedy and thus can’t see gay comedians in the same light as their lesbian counterparts.
