Redemption cover & blurb!

Redemption is the second book in the Defiance series – it releases in eBook format on November 18th and it’s up for preorder at AmazonCARINA_0913_9781426896361_Redemption

REDEMPTION:  Defiance #2

Matthias Robichaud is looking for an alliance. The Defiance motorcycle club is a stronghold in the dangerous world that’s become the new norm and he’s driven to prove he’s tough enough to be sworn in as a full member. But when he sees a beautiful, spirited girl abducted by a rival MC, rescuing her jeopardizes all he’s worked for.

Politician’s daughter Jessa Everson knows what’s expected of her—obedience, loyalty and silence—but that doesn’t mean she doesn’t fight when she’s kidnapped by the Lords of Vengeance. Having Matthias save her is like gaining an avenging angel in leather and tattoos. But Defiance is known for brutal justice, and she may have just traded one bad situation for another.

Matthias’s urge to protect is too strong to ignore, no matter how much trouble Jessa brings to Defiance’s gates. There’s no room in the post-Chaos world for weakness so if Matthias and Jessa have any chance of surviving, they’ll need to put their full strength behind the MC…and hope that the MC will do the same for them.

Dire Desires releases today!!!

It’s Jinx’s turn!  Dire Desires is the third book in the Eternal Wolf Clan series and it’s out today in print and eBook!

DIRE DESIRES:desires_410

Feared by humans, envied by werewolves, the Dire wolves are immortal shifters, obeying no laws but their own bestial natures. Once they were many, but now only a few remain, a dangerous wolfpack forever on the hunt…

Jinx is a Dire wolf without a pack. Kicked out of the house by his king, and living with a vampire named Jez, Jinx has been trying to undo the damage he’d unintentionally caused during the reign of the Dire ghost army, which unleashed some of Purgatory’s worst monsters on the world at large. But when he hears that an unshifted Were is being held in a psychiatric hospital, he immediately drops everything to help her.

Gillian Black has no idea what’s happening to her—and Jinx discovers that she’s not just any Were, but a Dire wolf from the original Greenland pack. He helps her escape and promises to keep her safe from the men—and wolves—who are hunting her, and teach her everything about being a wolf.

He must also fight his feelings, wanting to claim her as his mate…at least until after he defeats the supernatural enemies that threaten all of them.

Defiance is an RT Top Pick!!

My first Top Pick!  I’m so excited!  RT gave Defiance 4.5 stars and says:

“Unforgettable! The setting, the characters, the plot — every element of Tyler’s book is completely unlike anything else out there. Sure, you have read about motorcycle clubs, and bad boys with chips on their shoulders, and post-apocalyptic settings — now imagine combining all of these elements and add in one smart-mouthed heroine who knows her mind and you will get the wonder that is Defiance.”

Defiance is a recommended read at Romance Novel News!  Jennifer Porter says:

“The world of Defiance sucked me in completely. I could not put it down. The darkness of the story provided an excellent backdrop to the uncertainty of life for its inhabitants, especially Tru and Caspar. I cannot wait to see where Tyler takes this series next.

“Defiance” might actually make me a new adult convert. I highly recommend this story.”

And finally, I really love what Under The Covers Book Blog says about Defiance:

“In a promising start to a new look in New Adult, DEFIANCE is taking the best elements of Fiction and creating a hybrid read that stands out like a gem.”

Today, I’m at RT with a quiz: titled:  Could You Handle Stephanie Tyler’s Defiance universe?

I’m over at Fiction Vixen talking about Tru.

For more reviews and interviews and giveaways, see yesterday’s post!

You can order Defiance here and read the first chapter here!

Thanks again to all the bloggers and readers who really helped me get the word out there about this book :)

Defiance release day!!!

Defiance releases today – it’s the first in a series of New Adult post-apocolyptic CARINA_0613_9781426896026motorcycle books :) Think, Sons of Anarchy meets the apocalypse!

Rebelling against her legacy as the MC’s princess, Tru Tennyson escaped the ruthless, male-dominated culture of the Defiance motorcycle club. Three years later, her newfound freedom is ripped away, thanks to a massive hybrid storm that killed millions. Now, in the post-Chaos world of semi-darkness and near-total anarchy where gangs rule, she discovers the dangerous world of Defiance may be the one thing that can keep her safe.

Tru is at the MC’s mercy when she’s dragged back to her former home . . . and to the only man she’s ever pictured a future with. Caspar is the bastard son of the club’s leader, her safe haven when life got rough — and her onetime lover the night she left. When Tru refuses to trade sex for power and be claimed by a rival club leader, she also dares to announce she wants Caspar instead, throwing the MC into turmoil.

Tru’s brazen revolt could start a gang war and destroy the club from within. Now both Tru and the MC must wait for Caspar’s response … and the inevitable fallout

Surrender release day!!!!

SURRENDER releases today!!!!  It’s book 1 in the new Section 8 series, which is a romantic suspense with lots of romance :)

On the run and living for revenge…

Desperate, fearless, and hunted.

For ex-Navy SEAL Dare O’Rourke, Section 8 was legendary. The son of one its missing members, he grew up in the shadow of its secrets. All he knew was that it was a cabal of operatives discharged from branches of the military and reassigned to extremely dangerous, off-the-books international missions. And their handler, who answered only to the president, was as shrouded in mystery as the missions themselves.

Nothing can stop them. Nothing can break them.

Now, the handler of Section 8 has given extreme orders: kill any remaining members, along with their families. It’s then that Dare makes a startling discovery: the existence of a long-lost half sister named Avery he was never meant to meet. Determined to fight for their lives and find their missing father, Dare and Avery bring together the last members of Section 8 for one last mission: to avenge their families, and to survive.

Lonely is the Night releases today!!! It’s a Penguin eSpecial novella (approximately 35K)  and it’s book 5 of the Shadow Force series :)

US Marshall Grier Vanderhall faked her own death without telling Reid of the plan first, and he couldn’t forgive her duplicity. But when Reid learns that Grier has been kidnapped by a dangerous ring of criminals, he drops everything and heads to New Orleans to rescue her. Lonely is the Night excerpt!

Lonely is the Night comes out March 5th – it finishes out the Shadow Force series and provides a bridge into the new Section 8 series.  All my guys know one another, so for me, all my suspenses do connect together.  The excerpt is here – it’s all of Chapter 1!

And now, I’m hunkering down to write, because there’s a HUGE blizzard heading my way.  Stay safe if you’re in Nemo’s path (and I don’t ever remember them naming a blizzards before?!)

January 11, 2013

full of suck

1.  Wake up at 4:30 AM to smell of gas in bedroom.  Open door, realize it is filling entire house.  Wake husband, who looks out window and says, “I don’t think it’s us – there’s water running down the street.”

2.  Mentally add comment to the Manspeak & Dolphinsqueaks que because what the hell?  Send him to basement and hear, “Holy fuck.”  Which is never good.

3.  Discover basement is under 3 feet of water.

4.  Discover garage is under 4 feet of water.

5.  Discover that the running water is cascading through your backyard from a water main break.

6.  Have firemen tell you that the gas smell is from the gas cans you had for snowblower (which is under 4 feet of water) floating around.  Told to open windows and let house air out.

7.  Have fireman tell you that they called United Water at 4AM (and it’s 5AM now and NO ONE FROM WWW.UNITEDWATER.COM IS THERE YET.  Ask fireman how long it usually takes to stop a watermain break.  His response?  ”Honey, I don’t want to make you cry.”

8.  For those of you who want to know, it takes HOURS.  Like FOUR HOURS.  And I have no idea how long the water was actually flooding in for before that.  And I’m still waiting for the call from the United Water “executives” who had me on their list to call since I’m the only house that flooded from this.  Maybe I should stop holding my breath?

9.  Make emergency claim to Liberty Mutual.  Have asshole at the 24 hour line tell me that it will take someone three days to respond to my claim and tell me that I must do everything I can to mitigate my damage.  I say, I’m standing with the fireman who told me that our house is taking the complete brunt of the water and there is nothing he can do at all.

10.  Find out Zoo’s car is basically destroyed.

11.  Curse at asshole Liberty Mutual people who tells me that I should be trying to STOP THE WATER and tell them to file claim.  Call back at 7AM to find out they did not file my claim because they are assholes and listen to Liberty Mutual explain to me that the people who run that 24 hour line are outside contractors.  Like that takes all the accountability away.  I’m not done with them yet.  Actual Liberty Mutual people seem to be fine.  Ish.

12.  Heroes of the day?  Servepro.  Highly recommend.

13.  Discover that because it’s a water main break in the street, my insurance will not cover anything not nailed into the structure.  Like new washer / dryer / fridge.  Snow blower.  Lost clothing, paper towels (BOXES OF THEM) and other shit you keep in the basement.  I didn’t even ask about ruined patio the water cascaded over.  Cascaded is too pretty of a word but I don’t like gush.  *shudders*

14.  Talk to UnitedWater.com who tells me that trying to get money from them will be akin to banging my head against a wall because basically, utility companies have special protection against shit like this or else “everyone would want money for their damages and your rates will go up.”

15.  Ask about my special protection and get silence.

16.  Current time:  7:30PM.  Still NO RUNNING WATER.  Of course, it will be cold if it actually comes on because new water heater was destroyed.  As was boiler and central air unit.

17.  What will be on my list of things lost:  My fucking mind.

18.  What I’m sick of saying:  At least we’re all safe.

19.  What I’m not sick of saying:  Fucking, fucking assholes.

Dear 2013 -

So far, I am wholly unimpressed with you.
