Dear Amazon.com,

Happy Easter! I guess you’ve decided that my soul needs saving and are using your current policy to do so.

I’ve already taken time out of my busy schedule that includes actually writing more books that you can censor on your website by writing and calling about your disturbing new policy that bans adult materials from searches and sales ranking on your website.

My alter-ego, Sydney Croft, is directly affected by this as are many  authors I know personally.  And it’s a very slippery slope once yo

things get in the way…

So, Zoo has tonsillitis and I’m hoping that the antibiotics work so he doesn’t have to have them out. Mainly because he’s telling me he won’t have them out until after his fishing trip at the end of April.

I’m guessing he doesn’t realize that he’s not going to have much of a choice.

So I’ve got that going on, coupled with several days in a row of no nursing for the kid.  Add in a book due soon, copy edits and two different sets of revisions and well, I might’ve just hyperventilated. Seriously.

Larissa Ione…

is not only a USA Today Bestseller with both Desire Unchained and Passion Unleashed, but Passion Unleashed has hit the New York Times Bestseller list!!!!!!

Larissa Ione, New York Times Bestselling Author.  That has a really nice ring to it.

I’m so proud of her - but I never doubted this step in her career.  I knew it would happen with these books and I adore being right!!!!

Now maybe she’ll start believing me and stop being all Leo and stubborn ;)

Go give her your congrats and if you haven’t already

Comment of the day

This is a lovely conversation the husband and I had a few days ago.  I laugh every time I think about it, but that could just be me.

Me:  Did Gus just go outside?

Zoo:  Yes.

Me:  Did he do anything?

Zoo:  Yes.

Me:  Then he gets a cookie.

Zoo:  No one gives me a cookie when I go to the bathroom.

Gus, the unpublished photos

You know, I’d say TGIF except that I work more on the weekends these days than during the week, so it all kind of blends together.  But I think I’ve finally got a handle on what I’ve been wrestling with on Cam and Skylar’s story.  They’re both pretty private people and they haven’t wanted to talk to me, but I’m pretty persistent.  And finally, at some point yesterday, I was actually writing instead of just futzing around and fixing older scenes.  I actually woke up wanting to write, so that’s al

The one with the quotes…

I love quotes - I have them everywhere - scrawled in the notebooks I’m writing the current book in, on post-it notes around the desktop and some are even in my Blackberry.

Someone tell me how I lived without email all the time, everywhere I go?  Thanks.

Anyway, I stumbled on a few good ones recently, so I thought I’d share.

I love you.  Now tell me everything.  Immediately.  Stop making m

ELizabeth Gilbert on creativity

I found this over on Genreality - it’s author Elizabeth Gilbert (author of Eat, Love, Pray) and she’s giving a lecture on a new way to think about creativity.  I think it’s a fascinating lecture for anyone, but especially for anyone who’s in any kind of creative field.

You know, I’ve often thought about the whole, writers / artists / etc can’t afford to wait for the muse - put your butt in the chair and just write thing.  I hear authors say that habit / practice leads to better and more frequen

New site, new covers!

Welcome to the new site!  I just adore it - and everyone at Waxcreative - for doing such an awesome job!  It’s everything I wanted and I love the new look and I’m so excited to finally share it with you all.

I’m also excited to share the covers for Hard To Hold (aka Jake’s book) and Too Hot To Hold (Nick’s Book).  And yes, I know they’re up on the site already but that doesn’t mean I won’t show them off here too.  Chris’s cover is done except for tagline and quotes, and I’ll be able to show Hold
