U-M hopes McGary will EMBRACE NEW POSITION

Detroit Free Press Sports Writer
In a three-week span during the NCAA tournament, Michigan's Mitch McGary rose from a part-time bench player to the most valuable center in the NCAA tournament.
He's listed on most preseason All-America teams based on that run, and he's expected to turn that into a dominating full-season performance as a sophomore in 2013-14 after putting off the NBA draft.
