Happy to report that six of the boats from the “Adopt a Fisherman” program have been turned over to local fisherman. These people lost not only their boats, but their livelihood when Typhoon Yolanda hit in 2013. Now it is time to rebuild. Thanks to

#TheFirstPhoneCallfromHeaven...the movie! I am really happy to work with Warners Bros. They are a gold standard in the movie business, and if we were going to make the leap to big screen, why not with the best? From the moment I wrote the last word, I sort of felt the book had a feature film life to come, and I am thrilled that Warners and the hugely-accomplished Denise Denovi see it the same way. Can't wait to get started. http://www.deadline.com/tag/the-first-phone-call-from-heaven/

From the Detroit Free Press: Threat to marriage isn't its sexuality

"By all means dress in ridiculous togs, exchange rings and kisses ... but call it a wedding ... with nothing theological about it - and leave marriage to those who still believe in its sanctity."

- Brian Sewell

I did a London radio show two years ago with the gentleman quoted above. He is an old British art critic, famous for his acerbic tongue. Also on the program was a young gay female comedian who talked about wanting to get legally married.

As she spoke, Sewell harshly interrupted.

"Why should you get married?" he barked.
