“You have to start over. That's what they say. But life is not a board game, and losing a loved one is never really "starting over." More like "continuing without.” ― Mitch Albom, The First Phone Call from Heaven.
Just finished reading this book. Thanks for making me cry again Mr. Albom. :)

From the Detroit Free Press: New year, same old pain for Lions in playoff loss
ARLINGTON, Texas – The big guy cried. That's how crushing a loss this was. Ndamukong Suh, a man better known for pummeling large people, couldn't fight the tears when he tried to sum it up. He stepped away from the microphone, sniffing and wiping his eyes, then exited the room. When he came back, he referred to the game as "sickening."
Yes, it was, if that means it made you heartsick — or seasick.

From the Detroit Free Press: To quiet Lions' critics, here's a can't-do list
The key goes in, the engine growls, and now we find out whether it finally turns over.
The Lions have a chance this afternoon in Texas. A wildly important chance to silence all the echoes that haunt them. Win this playoff game, against a high-flying Dallas team some pundits see going to the Super Bowl, and it all ends. The "same old" talk. The repeating chorus of critics. The idea that Jim Caldwell winning is no different than Jim Schwartz winning, a gasp above the surface before another sink.

Facebook: HAPPY NEW YEAR FROM HAITI ORPHANAGE - Through eyes of our newest child "LewLew,"...
Thank you all for making 2014 special. I am here with the Haitian kids, happy as can be, having sung Auld Lang Syne and lit sparklers and put them all to bed at 8:30!
A great 2015 to you all. I've got a big new book coming in November. My favorite so far. Peace and health to you and your families.
with my thanks and gratitude -
Mitch
