Hello everyone,
I have made a self-goal of posting once a week on my blog. Currently, I have 8 followers, but am hoping to eventually grow that number as well. Lately, I have been posting a bunch of WWW Wednesdays. If I do not post a Wednesday blog, then I will post regular content. It can be about Innocent, Missing, new books, or my personal life. If you have a preference, let me know down in the comments!
What I Recently Finished Reading:
Kitty & Cat Opposites Attract
Mirka Hokkanen
GoodReads rating: 4.4
Amazon rating: 5
My rating: Meet Kitty! Kitty wants to play! Meet Cat. Cat just wants to nap. Bold, whimsical artwork and plenty of humor engage little ones in a sly and stylish introduction to opposites.
This deceptively simple concept book introduces readers to grumpy, old, exhausted Cat, who just wants to be left alone, and to happy, new, energetic Kitty, who longs to make friends. In a story told entirely through well-chosen pairs of opposites and drolly expressive artwork, author-illustrator Mirka Hokkanen manages to elevate the humble concept book into a true work of art—one that is bound to have readers giggling and crying for more! What I Am Currently Reading: Shmutz
Felicia Berliner
GoodReads rating: 3.5
Amazon rating: 3.7
Current Page: 4
Why? I won it in a GoodReads giveaway. It seems interesting to me. If you didn't know what the book was about, the cover doesn't make sense. What I Plan on Reading Next:
The Mistress of Bhatia House
Sujata Massey
Book 4 of 4
(I have not read the other three books)
GoodReads Rating: 4.2
Amazon Rating: N/A
Why? I won it in another giveaway! Just shows you that if you enter, you will win some!
With winning a bunch of giveaways, I have a STACK of books that I am going to read soon. I have also cleaned out my house and plan on rereading a bunch of books that I have. I am excited! Some include the Harry Potter collection, Gallagher Girls collection, Heist Society, Twilight, and the Program.
Have you ever reread your books?

Hello everyone,
I think I have started my love for reading again! I had a small break where it would take me months to pick up a book. I always justified it with "I didn't have enough time in my schedule". While I still feel like I don't, now that it is the summer, I can relax a bit. I usually pick books that aren't relaxing (I love a good thriller/suspense combination!) but sitting down away from electronics is very refreshing sometimes.
With my love for reading again, comes a harsher desire for my new books to get published. I have been hard at work writing a SEQUEL TO MISSING and some side projects. I'm not sure what would be published first, but am excited about the progress.
What I Recently Finished Reading:
After Anne
Logan Steiner
GoodReads rating: 3.8
Amazon: 4.2
My Rating: :) A stunning and unexpected portrait of Lucy Maud Montgomery, creator of one of literature’s most prized heroines, whose personal demons were at odds with her most enduring legacy—the irrepressible Anne of Green Gables.
“Dear old world,” she murmured, “you are very lovely, and I am glad to be alive in you.” —L. M. Montgomery, Anne of Green Gables, 1908
As a young woman, Maud had dreams bigger than the whole of Prince Edward Island. Her exuberant spirit had always drawn frowns from her grandmother and their neighbors, but she knew she was meant to create, to capture and share the way she saw the world. And the young girl in Maud’s mind became more and more persistent: Here is my story, she said. Here is how my name should be spelled—Anne with an “e.”
But the day Maud writes the first lines of Anne of Green Gables, she gets a visit from the handsome new minister in town, and soon faces a decision: forge her own path as a spinster authoress, or live as a rural minister’s wife, an existence she once likened to “a respectable form of slavery.” The choice she makes alters the course of her life.
With a husband whose religious mania threatens their health and happiness at every turn, the secret darkness that Maud herself holds inside threatens to break through the persona she shows to the world, driving an ever-widening wedge between her public face and private self, and putting her on a path towards a heartbreaking end.
Beautiful and moving, After Anne reveals Maud’s hidden personal challenges while celebrating what was timeless about her life and art—the importance of tenacity and the peaceful refuge found in imagination. What I Am Currently Reading: Kitty & Cat Opposites Attract

Why? Once again, I won it in a GoodReads giveaway. The topic is interesting as well.
Anyone have suggestions for YA reading? I like adult once in a while, but sometimes, there's too much going on and not enough plot.

Hello everyone,
Are you ready for the second installment of WWW Wednesday? So sorry that it took me FOREVER to read the last book! As a teacher, it is the ending of the school year and has been hectic. I haven't had much time to read in my spare time.
What I Recently Finished Reading:

Robin Cook
GoodReads rating: 3.88
Amazon rating: 4.4
My rating: :( The blockbuster bestseller that kickstarted a new genre--the medical thriller--is now available in trade paperback for the first time.
They called it "minor surgery," but Nancy Greenly, Sean Berman and a dozen others--all admitted to Boston Memorial Hospital for routine procedures--were victims of the same inexplicable, hideous tragedy on the operating table. They never woke up.
Susan Wheeler is a third-year medical student working as a trainee at Boston Memorial Hospital. Two patients during her residency mysteriously go into comas immediately after their operations due to complications from anesthesia. Susan begins to investigate the causes behind both of these alarming comas and discovers the oxygen line in Operating Room 8 has been tampered with to induce carbon monoxide poisoning.
Then Susan discovers the evil nature of the Jefferson Institute, an intensive care facility where patients are suspended from the ceiling and kept alive until they can be harvested for healthy organs. Is she a participant in--or a victim of--a large-scale black market dealing in human organs? What I Am Currently Reading: Math Jokes: 500+ Funny, Cheesy, & Clean Jokes for Kids & Math Teachers

Missing Giveaway Winners!
Hello everyone,
As you know, for the month of April I had a giveaway for TEN people to win a free Kindle version of Missing. It was to celebrate the new book cover that was designed for Missing. I have been fortunate enough to be able to hold the giveaway on GoodReads.
Before I announce the winners, I wanted to announce that 1,359 people had entered the giveaway! That is such a huge number and it makes me feel giddy inside to know that so many people are interested in reading MY books.
Enough stalling! The ten winners from the giveaway will automatically have the book added to their library.

Hello everyone,
I've had this social media for a long time, but I never truly knew if I was going to use it as my professional author page too. Now, I have been on the social media app for so long that the icon used to look like the first image below. Now (And more familiar) it looks like the bright pink, orange, and white logo we see today. Instagram has come a long way from when I first used it.
USERNAME:
amyleeme My account was private and all you could do on it was take pictures and post. I would still use hashtags, but they weren't able to be found because of the privacy settings. It was pointless for me! Now what you can do is post reels, stories, pictures, carousels, boomerangs, and slideshows! It has improved so much since I started!
What type of people do you follow on instagram: people you know, celebrities, athletes, influencers, etc? What do you view most: posts, stories, or reels more?

Hello everyone,
I saw this blog post on Jolie Eason's blog and absolutely loved the idea for it. If you look at my previous blog on my website update, it has a similar vibe to it. I am a slow reader, so I don't plan to update every week (you would see multiple of the same posts), but when I do finish a book, the next Wednesday, I would update my books.
The three Ws are:What did you recently finish reading? What are you currently reading? What do you think you'll read next? What I Recently Finished Reading:
The Last Romantics
Tara Conklin
GoodReads rating: 3.72 average
Amazon rating: 4.2 average
My rating: 3 average
A sweeping yet intimate epic about one American family, The Last Romantics is an unforgettable exploration of the ties that bind us together, the responsibilities we embrace and the duties we resent, and how we can lose—and sometimes rescue—the ones we love.
When the renowned poet Fiona Skinner is asked about the inspiration behind her iconic work, The Love Poem, she tells her audience a story about her family and a betrayal that reverberates through time.
It begins in a big yellow house with a funeral, an iron poker, and a brief variation forever known as the Pause: a free and feral summer in a middle-class Connecticut town. Caught between the predictable life they once led and an uncertain future that stretches before them, the Skinner siblings—fierce Renee, sensitive Caroline, golden boy Joe and watchful Fiona—emerge from the Pause staunchly loyal and deeply connected. Two decades later, the siblings find themselves once again confronted with a family crisis that tests the strength of these bonds and forces them to question the life choices they’ve made and ask what, exactly, they will do for love.
A novel that pierces the heart and lingers in the mind, The Last Romantics is a beautiful meditation on the power of stories—how they navigate us through difficult times, help us understand the past, and point the way toward our future. What I Am Currently Reading: Coma
