HUNGARY to INVEST

Hungary is among the fastest-growing real estate markets in the world and number one in the European Union. In the last decade, Hungary witnessed a whopping 173% real estate price increase, according to the statistics of The European Parliament, and the potential is still there.

Experts believe that Hungarian real estate is cheaper than in other EU countries and the growth will continue coming years. Another attraction is that Hungary belongs to one of the most affordable countries to live in for expats. Not talking about the new Golden Visa opportunity (read the article below).

So, why not invest or move to Hungary?

One month ago, on February 04 the book “Source Code: My Beginnings” by Bill Gates was out. It is about his early years, and how he changed the world with coding and computers.

This memoir and my memories about Bill Gates’s beginning of the revolution inspired me to write this article.

We met at a so-called Cyber Conference to discuss future problems that new technology will bring. It was in Budapest (Hungary) some twenty years ago, when the audience was laughing to hear the warnings about cybercrime. No one believed that it would be possible, and we mocked the lecturer with remarks:

“Shall we also have a Cyber Police? Or a Cyber Authorities?”

Now, these questions look so naïve, because today cyber crime is daily news. We learn that online scamming “pig-butchering” brings cyber criminals about 500 billion dollars in income globally each year.

We also talk today about digital behavior and with caution about Artificial Intelligence (AI), how it will change our lives, and how some professions will disappear. Maybe a norm will be to have an AI colleague, an AI neighbor, or a relationship with AI.

Everything starts one day. Let's remember how the Internet revolution began in East Europe, and how it was used by the Church.

Concession vs Compromise

DID YOU KNOW THAT:
Concession and Compromise are two different things.

“Concession” is something, that someone receives on demand from another one. It can be given as a grant or sacrifice, against the will, just to settle the dispute. It is like now, the USA is demanding from Ukraine mineral concessions and will get them, despite that Ukraine is not eager to give.

And “Compromise” is a mutual agreement, when both sides have to give up something to reach a “golden middle”. For example in the Russian-Ukrainian war when both countries have to reach a compromise to end it.
In simple life, concession is when during the divorce a husband demands the house from his wife, and he gets it against her will. So, he made concession for the house. Compromise would be if he would pay his wife for the house.
