South African government plans to ban alcohol advertising in a bid to reduce violence and crime caused by excessive drinking. The Industry Association for Responsible Alcohol Use said it does not believe banning alcohol advertising will curb this abuse. South Africa is ranked 10th in the world for alcohol abuse.
Tongue-in-cheek, cartoon refers to Daryl Peense, who was convicted of assaulting President Jacob Zuma by spilling his Johnny Walker Black Label whisky near the President.
