Week #29: July 14-20, 2025
Welcome to Week Twenty-nine, a week that feels rather open and ripe, but we won’t know until we find out!
For those who booked written readings with me in July—Thank you!! I’m so excited to read for you! I’m going to start on them this week, and I really cannot wait! For those who don’t even know I’m offering a new menu of written readings—For the next three months, paid pals can snag one, two, or all three at package rates! To learn more and book, please upgrade your subscription now and join The Soup™ Discord server!
Numerological information is neat to engage with in a 9 collective year, where every single daily, weekly, and monthly number is amplified. Due to the fact that 9 can essentially be canceled out in any reduction calculation it appears in (truly, try some out, i.e. 1+9 = 10, 1+0 = 1), every core number this year becomes more of itself. Magnified, and polarized. Embodying both sides of the coin at the same time.

7/11: The Friday Five
Good morning, and happy post-full moon Friday!
I’ve been waking up way too early this week and I’m currently spellsitting for a Capricorn full moon candle working—like babysitting, only way more magical—so of course it’s still dark outside, the birds aren’t yet singing, but the coffee is strong, tasty, and in a mug that sparks joy, and one of my altar candles is calm, clear and crackling, popping and hissing its woodsmoked song.
Can you tell I’ve been reading lately?
Thank you for all of the birthday love on Monday! If you haven’t yet seen my wife and my bald glamour shots, you can sneak a peek and send us some Honeyfund money magic at the link below! But it’s been such a lovely pocket of pleasure amidst a lot of the only way out is through, and Stacey and I are both so grateful!

THE FRIDAY FIVE 🖐️Here’s what’s gotten me through this wacky week:
Compazine and Peppermint — Recently, a major publication featured an article that I can’t actually find again (help, Internet Hive Mind!), about how of all of the advancements and accessibilities helping patients in our modern age of health and wellness, we still haven’t found a way to make good anti-nausea medications available over-the-counter. Whether you can stomach thinking about it or not (ba-dum-shhhh), nausa is a universal, human experience, and yet we’re fresh out of luck when it comes to treating it without a prescription. Thankfully, I have a prescription for my preferred med, Compazine, and also peppermint has proven a true, herbal ally, working even in chewing gum form! But yeah, friends, don’t get cancer… it sucks! ;)
Cannabis, bayybeee — I’m not suuuper public about it, but I’m a huge stoner! I hope you, like Chappell Roan, don’t care. Despite being a daily toker for longer than I’d care to admit, I still have a great deal of internalized shame over this habit. (Did my judgment-tinged, stilted sentence-structure-slash-confession give it away?) I even went so far as to tell my wife I was quitting weed during chemo… She laughed in my face and told me it was the worst idea a smart kid like me has ever had. Turns out, she was right! Not only have I not quit, but I’ve leaned in even harder!!! And it’s made a positive difference on my mental and physical health! If you’re here for the recs, our favorite brands are Stiizy, Time Machine, Pure Beauty, Canndescent, and Lowell’s.
Okay, let’s move away from meds…
Articles Still on my To-Read List — What Books Are Publishers Betting On Now by Karin Gillespie, ‘The damage is terrifying’: Barbara Kingsolver on Trump, rural America and the recovery home funded by her hit novel by Hannah Marriott for The Guardian, Checking out Motley Bloom, a curated collective focused on Neurodivergent First living, Six Ways of Looking at Crip Time by Ellen Samuels, and The Triumph and Tragedy of Jayne Mansfield by Joy Press for Vanity Fair. If you’ve read, let me know what you thought, and which one I should read first!
4. The Hope of Becoming America’s Favorite Couple — Hosted by Jeff Goldblum and his wife, there is currently a nationwide contest to crown America’s Favorite Couple, and shower them with a cash prize of $20,000 and a photo spread in Variety. Now, it’s not how I pictured getting into the Hollyweird papers, but as of today, Stacey and I have officially made the Top 20! If you’d like to help us get closer to the prize, you can vote for us by clicking on the button below. You do need Facebook (grrrr….), so no pressure. But also feel free to deploy your mom’s book club if they’re ready and willing!
5. MY FRIENDS MY FRIENDS MY BEAUTIFUL FRIENDS — This last one’s a little intangible, but I fucking looooove my friends. They’re kind, smart, generous, caring, gorgeous, hilarious, wise, supportive, and unbelievably considerate. I pinch myself every day to be surrounded by such good eggs! So let this be a sign to reconnect with your nearest and dearest, even if you’ve let the sands of time slip to the bottom of the hourglass without so much as a dm’d Instagram meme. Send that text! Be brave on Venus’s day! I truly hope when you plug back in, you find yourself attached to love and joy!
sharing is caring! by sending this email to a beloved, you’re both supporting a queer witch & strengthening a friendship. it’s a win-win!
Happy Friday! Let me know what’s gotten you through your week, and/or if you love any of the things I love! <3

Seven, the Seeker-Prophet
Photo by Efe Kurnaz on UnsplashSeven is the number of spirituality and secrets. It’s a trip down the rabbit hole, following the path of insatiable curiosity, to see what treasures, or maybe what monsters, lie within and below.
Seven may not promise to be clear or straightforward, but it is a practical, internal energy that evokes deep questioning, careful analysis, faithful insights, meaning-making and weaving a web of understanding. On the Road Trip, it’s the art of taking back-roads, and pulling off to rest overnight when falling asleep at the wheel. It knows that the best questions lead to better questions, and when embodied, seven energy has the potential to reveal and enlighten.
In my book, The Witch’s Book of Numbers , I refer to 7 as the Life Path (the long game, the trail we trek) of The Seeker, saying, “At their highest expression, Seekers are doggedly searching for unity and understanding. At their lower expressions, they can be rigid and close-minded, set on doing things their way.”
In Know Your Lucky Numbers by Carlson Wade, the Seeker is rebranded as The Prophet, and a similar warning is given: “If [as a prophet] you use [your gifts of insight] to help others and to help yourself, your numerical vibrations will see that you move in the right direction. But if you misuse your gifts for selfish purposes, your vibrations will push you off course. The result could be a disaster for you. You will be a successful person, provided that you use your powers for the good of humanity.”
The Seeker Public Persona, which is like the costume one wears during the play of their life, promotes a calm and curious affect. Someone who is in control, yet eager to understand all they do not yet knkow. They might be a natural-born collector—of people, or things, alike—and a keeper of knick-knack knowledge.
Hopefully, you can already start to see some ways in which Taylor Swift and Elon Musk, two prominent, cultural figures with a 7 Public Persona, on a 7 Life Path might embody these energies, archetypes, and narratives.
What’s the deal with Doubled Digits?Doubling a number’s energy has an equal and opposite reaction—it becomes both amplified and weakened. The energy is no longer constant, but redistrbuted to the poles, creating the potential to swing between extremes. I have found that folks with the same number as their Life Path and Public Persona, two of the three most prominent numerological chart placements, experience this in terms of extreme states of feeling, thinking, doing, being. It can be quite tricky to identify cycles, and another thing altogether to get out of them. That said, Doubled Digits do not interfere with the choices we make, or with our free will. We always get to choose how we react and respond to things.

Seven/Seven | 7/7 | Taylor Swift | Elon Musk
Photo by Kaleb Nimz on UnsplashThe doubled energy of Seven/Seven, or 7/7, is fervor. It’s fandom. It’s the hum of the hive, the swell of the swarm. That good good feeling you get in a crowd, all singing the same song at the same time. The danger that pulses through a group growing agitated, contained in close-knit quarters.
“Mythologically speaking, 7 is the number of initiatiom,” I write in The Witch’s Book of Numbers. “Initiations reflect an age-old tradition of ritualizing admittance into a group, a belief, or an understanding. Most esoteric or occult groups have private or secret initiation rites… As a number of the occult, 7 also supports fascination and curiosity.”
Taylor Swift has built a multi-billion dollar empire by always communicating with her fans, and by welcoming them into her secret, but not exclusive, club.
Just like the songs she writes, her words, her symbols, her numbers—Swifties know better than anyone that 13 is the number of the goddess—speak to her listeners. Swift and Swifties share a spiritual connection. It’s long-lasting, yet liminal, and largely a thing of mystery. Swift constantly blurs the line between what’s public and private, and what might mean something or not. I know people who went to a Post Malone concert because they thought Taylor Swift had subliminally hinted at making a guest appearance through a tangled web of concert dates and song lyrics.
Swift didn’t appear.
An image of a song from Taylor Swift’s 1989 (Taylor’s Version) on an ipad, on the backdrop of a rumpled bedsheet with a cup of coffee.Elon Musk has also found ways to speak to his Musketeers directly, mainly through the platform Twitter, which he bought in 2022 and rebraded to X.
Followers feel like they’re going along for a humanitarian hero’s journey—watching with glee as wealthy entrepreneur Musk dabbles in electric cars (Tesla), private space travel (SpaceX), underground travel (the Boring Company), and neurotechnology (Neuralink), and more.
In fact, Swift and Musk, and the ways in which they interact with and inspire fans, are an obvious pairing. In 2018, The Verge, in a piece aptly titled “The gospel of Elon Musk, according to his flock” wrote about Musk: “Among his more than 22 million [then Twitter] followers, all of this inspires a level of righteous devotion rarely glimpsed outside of the replies to a Taylor Swift tweet.”1
They each strive to make impact their fanbases in same, same, but different ways—by affirming humanity, and what they care about, to matter, by encouraging excitement and engagement, and by creating an environment where the world’s biggest star could be speaking directly to you.
The technological ecosystem of Elon Musk’s companies.By definition, prophets are people “regarded as an inspired teacher or proclaimer of the will of God,” and historically, have also held positions of great socio-political influence and intrigue.
Especially here in the year 2025, it goes without saying that both Musk and Swift have had huge political impacts. In 2023, a single Instragram post from Taylor Swift garnered 35,000 voter registrations, and in 2024, her support for presidential-hopeful Kamala Harris amassed over four hundred thousand clicks to a site on federal voting information.23 And of course, Musk started off the year in the Oval Office by leading up DOGE, a department decreed by Executive Order to cut government spending. Whether it suceeded is not wholly the point, as the shocks of its movements have rippled through structure and household.
After all, seven is structural energy. It comes after the material-minded four, which learns how to build systems in the physical world. But seven doesn’t necessarily work on the ground, but beneath. In secret, in shroud. It’s a more social energy, spreading through roots and mycilium, growing and growing before you even notice it’s happening.
Swift and Musk are modern-day spokespeople. They are symbolic representations of the desires and emotional landscapes of the people. They inspire hope and meaning-making, but they also drive people’s ambitions, their potentials for joy and hope, and their visions of an empowered future.
They are Big Business. And while it’s true that power grows next, in the number 8, it’s the mystique and prestige of the number 7—that grand intensity—that drives the successes of cultural icons like Taylor Swift and Elon Musk. Something keeps your stuck; mired in their trick mirrors.
For make no mistake. There is trickster magic afoot here in the shadows. They make you think you are the same. But they are mega stars. They appear to change—Taylor’s eras, Elon’s journey from SpaceX to X to DOGE—but it’s all just variations on a theme.
(That’s all church and religion is anyway. The world’s oldest book club. Reading the same text, singing the same songs, and it’s a grand old time, every time.)
In many ways, both Swift and Musk are able to obfuscate the fact that they aren’t really helping people. Like the warning in Know Your Numbers, they’re self-serving. Their money is about them. Their brands are about them. It’s all about them! They are both emperor and empire, held up by the many, but serving the solo.
Look at them: They live in public, but they are always manipulating the narrative. Always working an angle. It may not always malicious, but it’s always for gain!
What else could they do with their influence?
Seven + Seven = Five?
When you add seven to seven, you get fourteen, which reduces through addition to the core number of five.
How does 14/5 energy change the equation? Five is the Changemaker, and fourteen the energy of temperance, and angelic intervention. In Know Your Numbers, five is rebranded as the Writer. What does it mean to have writer energy at the root of double prophet energy? Taylor Swift could proabably shed some light on the subject!
I see disruption leading to evolution, and contraction at the heart of spiritual expansion.
The other practical numbers are 1, the self, and 4, the act of building in the material world. They understand themselves, and how to make things, but then the portal through the messy middle of 5 and 6 is rough. Things change and new understanding is found, and then the Seeker-prophets are sent into another cycle of evolution.
Again, Taylor Swift and Reputation is a steallar example of this. She used that epic feud, that takedown, as a way to reclaim herself. That’s so pragmatic and practical. Let’s do what I do best: Shed a skin, claim a symbol, make an album, sell out a new tour. Musk also has many prominent skin shedding moments, all of which further his overall brand, rather than splinter or decenter from his messages.
When it comes down to it, five energy is choatic, so it’s all about attention and focus. Today, that’s what makes the money. That’s the economy. Both Taylor and Elon say, “Eyes over here, on me.” And they capitalize on five’s penchants for fun, freedom, and adventure. Follow them for a good, liberated time!
In The Body is a Doorway, Sophie Strand writes, “…[W]e are not always the authors of the stories we inhabit and live inside, even when we have a sense of manufactured choice. Just because we are a character does not necessarily mean we are the author writing our fate.”
However, I’d argue that Taylor Swift and Elon Musk have a larger hand in writing their desitinies than the rest of us…

Week #28: July 7-13, 2025
Welcome to Week Twenty-eight. The moon will soon be new in the sign of the sea-goat, Capricorn, reminding us that even when we are on the shore, we are never far from the waves.
On July 1, I announced a summer of written numerology readings in the The Soup™ Discord server. There are three different readings, available in July, August, and September, respectively, and you can snag one, two, or all at package rates. To learn more and book, please upgrade your subscription now!
These readings are especially juicy in a 9 collective year, where every single daily, weekly, and monthly number is amplified.

Happy July. Welcome to the second half of the year.
Even though it’s my birthday month, I’ve been dreading July ever since I pulled year-ahead tarot cards in January. After a luscious spring of pentacles and court cards, July handed me the Five of Swords, and the Internet Lore Tarot added the phrase, Welp, I made a mistake.
Perhaps that’s why for Call Your Coven’s July forecast, I zeroed in on the need to be honest about errors, missteps, and miscommunications, and asked us to continue our “assuming best intentions” work from June with the seven-coded addition, Everyone is doing the best they can with the information and tools they have at the time.
But when I sat down to write about July, while taking a good, hard look at the world around me, a darker companion stepped from the shadows!
Let’s get a little spooky, shall we?

Photo by Marianna Smiley on UnsplashJuly 2025: The Monster and The MakerIt was a dark and stormy night, during the rainy summer of 1816. Mary Shelley, and her future husband, Percy Bysshe Shelley, visited their friend, Lord Byron, at his villa in Lake Geneva, Switzerland. Stuck inside, Byron proposed a game amongst contemporaries: to see who could write the best ghost story.
Days later, frustrated by her lack of ideas, Shelley found herself walking the shadowy halls of a waking dream:
I saw the pale student of unhallowed arts kneeling beside the thing he had put together. I saw the hideous phantasm of a man stretched out, and then, on the working of some powerful engine, show signs of life, and stir with an uneasy, half vital motion. Frightful must it be; for supremely frightful would be the effect of any human endeavour to mock the stupendous mechanism of the Creator of the world.1
In the year that followed, Shelley would write Frankenstein, the tale of maker and monster; monster and maker. Of tortured existence, of questions of purpose, too wretched to answer, yet too integral to not give voice to. Of souls intertwined, regardless of which came first, or who gave life to who. A story that renders the modern inquiry of, “Can we separate the art from the artist?” a pithy one. For the message is never truly separate from the messenger.
Mary Shelley, herself, wrote brilliant science fiction through great personal tragedy, including the losses of her first and second children. Her mother, philosopher and women’s rights activist, Mary Wollstonecraft, died just eleven days after her birth due to infection, later her half-sister, to suicide, and Percy Bysshe Shelley would also die, six years after they married, in a sudden storm off the coast of northern Italy. When his body was recovered, it was burned on a pyre, but his heart refused to turn to ash, and was kept by his grieving widow.
Not until the first anniversary of Mary Shelley's death did they open the box-desk she had kept near her bed and found relics she had not shown even them: her copy of Shelley's Adonais with one torn-out leaf folded around a piece of silk that held a bit of his ashes and the remnant of his heart, a box containing a workbook they had shared and locks of hair of her dead William and Clara.2

July is asking us to be with the whorling whole that is our current moment—the good, the bad, the ugly, the damning, the devilish, the choatic, the gorgeous, the gothic, the romantic, the beautiful, the temporal, the liminal, the irridescent, the frustrating, the satiating, the fullness, and the widening gyre of emptiness.
For it is in its ruling number seven that we begin to grapple with the fecund space between ripeness and rot. We wrestle with what is immortal and what is painfully human. We lift our hands to the sky and scream with all that will never become clear, and yet will always be juicy enough to keep us engaged. We mourn our disappointing and dead, but we wrap their hearts in cloth and carry on.
“Life, although it may only be an accumulation of anguish, is dear to me, and I will defend it,” writes Shelley, with the passion of the Seven of Wands.3
This month, it is imperative that you tend to your grief—personal, collective, physical, spiritual, all of the above. Clean your body, your home, your magical tools. Move things through your systems. Then, call in energetic protections. Consecrate your tools with new, grounded intentions. Ally with rose, in all of its forms, for working through complex grief, and peach selenite for sweetening difficult memories keeping you stuck in the past.
Seven is questioning, yes, but it’s also its counterpoints: agency, sovereignty, authority. It is everything that comes before taking action, and most, if not all, practitioners would agree that the energetics of what’s within is integral to the success of what is labored over and born.
Stay present, flexible, honest, and in your integrity this month. Seven demands maturity because it dares to touch what will never be proven, nor disproved. And especially in a 9-ruled collective year, it asks us to hold many truths at once, and to still dare to do a little magic. After all, it was Shelley who also said, “The world to me was a secret, which I desired to discover…”4
NOTABLE NUMEROLOGY IN JULY
Photo by Felix Mittermeier on UnsplashSEVEN SEVEN (NINE)
07/07/2025
7+7+2+0+2+5 = 23/5
The lightning strike can be as painful as it is illuminating. It leaves a crack, both in the sky and in the soil of what it spears. The Japanese offer us kintsugi, a method of mending what’s broken with gold, as a means of not severing a harrowing history from a full-fledged future. But perhaps what’s damaged cannot ever be gussied up with gemstones or made meaning of. That’s okay. Even so, just for today, sit for a moment with the charred bits of your body, mind and spirit, and know those parts are just as vital to your story as every triumph you’ve ever claimed. They don’t have to be pretty to be powerful, and you can always alchemize your agony into art.
FULL MOON IN CAPRICORN
07/10/2025
7+1+0+2+0+2+5 = 17/8
This full moon makes three in a row with 17/8 energy. At least 2025 is consistent in some ways. The last two luscious lunations have asked us to get clear on what makes us feel even the little bit more empowered and embodied, and then challenged us to do one thing, take one action. This full moon wants to both deepen and further the story. Why and how was your action satisfying to you? How could you do it again, and start to build a habit or practice? And why can you no longer live without said empowerment and embodiment? If you feel resistance popping up around these questions, interrogate that feeling first and foremost.
NEW MOON IN LEO
07/24/2025
7+2+4+2+0+2+5 = 22/4
BOY HOWDY! This is really fun. Happy fourth new moon in a row with 22/4 energy! This year has been chaotic, yes, but it’s also offering us a very clear trail of breadcrumbs to follow. To recap: On the new moon in Taurus, we romanticized the quiet sit spot. The new moon in Gemini told us, If you build it, they will come. On the new moon in Cancer, we prepared the feast. And here, on the new moon in Leo, put on our best outfits, and our best playlists, and we enjoy the party! Why? Because we may never get this chance again! Because we’ve earned it! Because we were born deserving! Because we love to dance! Because we are miraculous meat sacks! Can you allow yourself some joy here for no reason other than joy fucking rules?
I would love to hear from you! Sending you ease, depth and patience in July.

Welcome to Week Twenty-seven, which will give us one quick day to wrap up June before plummeting us into the warm waters of July.
Everyone I know is exhausted and hot. Everyone I know needs a glass of ice water and a nap. And maybe this week won’t allow you much time to indulge, but I implore you to not deny your physical needs right now. Spoonies know the unfortunate difference between resting to recover, and resting to continue, and everyone I know could stand to focus on the latter to avoid total burnout.
We’re only halfway through this 9 collective year, where every single daily, weekly, and monthly number is amplified. Due to the fact that 9 can essentially be canceled out in any reduction calculation it appears in (truly, try some out, i.e. 1+9 = 10, 1+0 = 1), every core number this year becomes more of itself. Week #27
Photo by Emmy C on UnsplashTwenty-seven is a number of exit lanes and epiphanies. It is a threshold of transformation, which asks us to leave our old selves at the door.
According to the Pythagorean Life Cycles, a person’s lifetime can be broken up into three groups of twenty-seven years. Birth to age twenty-seven are considered one’s Youth, which matches an astrological timeline of maturation called the Saturn Return. However, not everyone makes the leap from youth to power, and there’s an entire cultural phenomenon, The 27 Club, about musicians and artists who’ve died at the infamous age. While there’s no scientific or statistical proof the age is more dangerous than any other, there are plenty of strange myths surrounding the deaths, including one involving white Bic lighters.

Here, at the Halfway Mark
2025 IS ROLLING RIGHT ALONG! HERE WE ARE AT THE HALFWAY MARK!
This year of Humanity, Service, Solitude and Completion has lasted a thousand lives, and is also, like sand, slipping through the hourglass of time.
How have you spent your time?
What has harpooned or helped your heart?
What and how have you overcome?
What is still on your radar?
How will you close the gap between here and the end of the year?
Psst : This information is still relevant for almost 4,488 hours:
I’m in a personal five year, amplifying my Changemaker/Writer public persona.
Historically, five years been heavy hitters, ushering me through intense and jarring portals, but offering me freedom, love, oppportunities, and the chance to become more myself. They are messy, but profound, and I am better for them.
This year hasn’t been any different, and also entirely new—
I spent the first thirteen days of 2025 in the hospital (out of an overall thirty-six day stay), before leaving on the full moon in Cancer without a diagnosis (of cancer, likely a type of lymphoma), but with a marrow-deep need to be at home with my dog. Then, I spent the rest of month shifting into caretaker mode as my wife received her own (breast) cancer diagnosis on January 31st—the numerical inverse of my homecoming on the 13th.
February and March were deliriously liminal, a purgatory that felt as cruel as it did senseless, and still there were moments of joy and beauty, including the clean cut I got from Aquarian queen Sheila at The Alchemist’s Salon in Sherman Oaks.
April was a real mixed bag. Fool’s Day delivered confirmation that yes, I do have cancer, but would also need another surgery to properly type. Tax Day decreed a diagnosis of Nodular Lymphocyte-Predominant Hodgkin’s Lymphoma (NLPHL). And by the month’s end, I would receive my author copy of Tarot In Other Words, acceptance to a graduate psychology program at Antioch University, and my first doses of drugs: a combination of chemo- and immuno- therapies, and steroids.
May and June were mundane and magical. Heavy and light. I was sick, but not like anyone thought I would be, thank everything. I cut my hair to look like Leonardo DiCaprio. I helped my wife get through her own rough cycles of chemotherapy. I immediately loved being bald. I got my heart broken by a close friend. I received supportive, generative therapy sessions. I started to feel sturdier in my body. I had a repeat PET scan that showed ESSENTIALLY COMPLETE RESOLUTION of the lesions previously ravaging my bones! I was told I am in a medical remission!! I processed everything and nothing! I got to share good news!
I’ve also published almost fifty articles on SITS and read almost twenty books.
You know. No biggie.
Here, at the halfway mark of the messy middle, I am grateful to get to see it through to the end. I want the opportunity to live more life, and be more myself .
Everything willing, of course.

The Friday Five 🖐️: June EditionHere’s what’s gotten me through this monstrous month:
The Body is a Doorway: A Memoir, A Journey Beyond Healing, Hope, and the Human by Sophie Strand — I’ve been holding onto this book for a moment, knowing that the minute I cracked the spine would also be the time that I, too, would be cracked open. And of course, I was right. Sophie’s generous, expansive, deeply important experiences and hard-won wisdom are a true gift. I have laughed, I have cried, I have sent quotes to friends, and even Sophie herself! I want every person who lives in a funky body to read this book, which is EVERYONE!
To celebrate Pride, Gemini season, and the release of their newest book, Tarot Spreads: How to Read Them, Create Them, and Revise Them (out 7/7, but pre-order now), Meg Jones Wall led a Tarot & Tropes challenge for the first twelve days of June! I had so much fun pulling cards, and playing with new characters, as well as my current works-in-progress. Catch up on all of my entries now on tumblr dot com, and try some of the spreads out for yourself!
Love Island USA Season 7 — After giving us a season for the books last summer, I am thrilled to report that this year’s villa is delivering yet again. [SPOILERS AHEAD] Just ask the newest couple, Nic and Olandria, aka my favorite boy and girl, aka Ariana Madix’s ship of dreams, aka proof the producers read Reddit! (That last joke I stole from Meg, who flails with me nightly.) Tonight is the grand conculsion of Casa Amor, which has been messy and full of tears, and I couldn’t be more excited!!
Ancestor Work — I should’ve known that invoking my Great-Grammy Martha in June’s to-dos would set off a chain-reaction of magical moments to deepen my ancestral connections and practices! But truly, it’s been rich, meaningful, and undeniably real. I’m grateful to be alive and online! If you’re curious about creating your own ancestral or spirit relationships, make sure you listen to Call Your Coven’s June conversation, “Gods, Ancestors, & Spirits, Oh My!” It’s one of our most vulnerable conversations yet, and we’re all quite proud of it.
Roses, roses, roses — Way back when in Friday Five history, I confessed my love for Trader Joe’s Rose Spray, and this month, I added some new rosy connections to my life: an Earl Gray and rose tea blend and a homemade, Venus-attuned, room spray from a beloved, a lovely smelling rose candle from a care package for my altar, and a fresh bouquet of brightly-colored roses that were delivered by accident. Roses also stepped forward in the July 2025 forecast at Coven as an ally for working through complex collective grief.
I’d love to know’s getting you through and what you made in June! Tell me about fave reads, watches, tools, tips and practices, and your art, products, services, etc!
Until next time, just keep swimming!xx, beeJune 22, 2025
Week #26: June 23-29, 2025
Welcome to Week Twenty-six! It’s summer in the Northern Hemisphere, and while we will have plenty of time to bask in the sun, the days are getting shorter from here on out.
It’s odd, to think of this period of seemingly endless light as waning. To be so full, and so ripe, and to know that soon we will be in the fallow cold once again. How can that paradox be an invitation this week? An opportunity to relish in the present moment, bolstered by the knowledge of nine, this too shall pass?
After all, we are halfway through our 9 collective year, where every single daily, weekly, and monthly number is amplified.

Week #26
Photo by Trey Schatzmann on UnsplashTwenty-six is a number of heart and head and angst and yearning. It’s where we grapple with what it is that we want, versus what it is that we need, and all of the messy bits that stand in the way of ease, flow, and satisfaction.

Week #25: June 16-22, 2025
Welcome to Week Twenty-five, which feels like we’ve arrived somewhere numerically, and perhaps the seasonal wheel confirms it’s true—by the week’s end, it’ll be summer in the Northern Hemisphere.
The Summer Solstice—which got a numerological write-up and will get a tarot reading for paid pals with a spread divined from said write-up—occurs when the sun hits its northernmost point in the sky, creating a balance between day and night, and the year’s longest day. This energy can be invigorating, or exhausting, or somewhere in between. It reminds me of the endless days of Scandinavian summers, where I once rode a bicycle home under the midnight sun. I had to whip out an eye-mask to help trick my body into sleep.
When living in conditions that are different from the ones we’re used to, we must create the conditions in which we can survive and thrive.
This is especially true in a 9 collective year, where every single daily, weekly, and monthly number is amplified.

Week #25
Photo by Nik Shuliahin 💛💙 on UnsplashTwenty-five is a number of the Cosmic Drama. Of lights, camera, and illusion! It’s a cathartic experience of connection and change, of wrestling both internally and externally, and of needing to see through metaphor and into the heart of truth.
Just as Nicole Kidman supposes in the infamous AMC ad, twenty-five also says, “We come to [this place, Earth, the theatre] for magic. We come to…laugh, to cry, to care. Because we need that, all of us, that indescribable feeling we get when the lights begin to dim. And we go somewhere we've never been before; not just entertained, but somehow reborn. Together.” But of course, who could forget the most root-seven-energy line in the world—“heartbreak feels good in a place like this???”—a reminder that pain and pleasure are beginning to bleed together…
This week, consider where you are holding onto old wounds and old wins. Be present with any physical feelings come up when you focus in on them. Do you have the urge to speak? To cry? To throw something? Take a deep breath and hold the pose. Find the place, deep within you, below the chaos. It’s okay if it’s not perfect and you can’t stay calm for very long. This is a life-long practice. Experience every part of the process in the here and now.

Photo by Maddy Ramsay on UnsplashJune 16-22 for Your Yearly CycleTo find your yearly cycle number, add the digits of your month and day of birth to 2025, and reduce until you reach a single digit. For example, the calculation for my birthday of July 7 looks like: 7+7+2+0+2+5 = 23, 2+3 = 5.
Please note that I reduce doubled digit numbers like 11 and 22 to their root numbers when working with yearly cycles, so please calculate and read accordingly.
Read for your Yearly Cycle, but also check out your prominent chart placements, like Life Path and Public Persona, as well for the collective 9-year.
