June 2025: Hate to Find Out This Way, Love to Know
Hey there! What do you mean it’s already June 10th? Better late than never?
Every time I’ve sat down to write this newsy-letter to you, I’ve found myself overwhelmed. Dismayed by my own, relentless Tower moments. Devastated by the overlapping crises in the world that demand attention and effort. Daunted by the notion of condensing cosmic cycles into something supportive and useful, and to be honest, a little disquieted by the idea that I could be cluttering up your already-full inbox, causing the same overwhelm that plagues me.
And yet, here I am, and here you are, and Pride is a riot, and ICE is melting in LA, and we are alive for this fresh and broken June, and here we go!

Photo by COPPERTIST WU on UnsplashJUNE 2025: Hate to Find Out This Way, Love to KnowWhen I started tuning into June’s 6 energy for the Call Your Coven record back in May, it felt like we were in for some relief, but also some tricky, sticky stuff. It is Gemini season, after all… And upon further reflection, it seems some of the mess is coming from the 9 energy we’re all swimming in in 2025 (2+0+2+5 = 9).
At the beginning of the year, I shared “about a spiritual download I received about the ouroboros, an ancient symbol of a snake eating its tail; an infinite, painful cycle… Yes, we really can know it all. But—and this is a big but—the more we know, the harder it is to hold.”
Still, we want to know things!! Knowing/seeing/understanding/exploring/opening to new/changing/shapeshifting/expanding/contracting/enmeshing information holds the keys to so much authenticity/honesty/relationship/connection/solidarity/community and love.
But the ouroboros reminds us that pain is promised in the knowing, and sometimes it shows up in how the message is delivered as well, which leads me to name an experience I’ve had many times over since the start of the month, and have also observed in the lives of others: Hate to Find Out This Way, Love to Know.
I hate that it took a near-death experience for me to plant new seeds of wanting to be alive, and I love knowing that I still desire to breathe and blink and be on this Earth. I hate that it took a double-dose of cancer to show my wife and I the truth of our community bonds, and I love knowing that I am surrounded by kind/caring/generous/funny/kick-ass people! (Who can cook, no less!) I hate that it took wildfires and ICE raids to show the ferocity of Los Angeles, and I love knowing that I moved to a city that has a deep commitment to protecting its people.
Now you try!
The tricky, sticky truth of June is this: We can’t force ourselves to heal when we’re not ready, and also, the world is topsy-turvy, and the time to show up is now. Ignorance might be billed as bliss , but knowledge is the gateway to love-in-action. May you find the courage to face what’s hard with a soft heart and an open mind.
So be it, see to it!
6 Things to Do to Find Center This 6 MonthFocus on art, beauty, love, joy and pleasure ❤️ — When in doubt, shut off the news and put on a movie. Power down your phone and pick up a book. Take yourself to a new exhibit at your local art museum. Buy a ticket to a community theatre production. Bonus points if you bring a friend! Volunteer at a local kitchen, or bring a meal to a friend who is going through it. Wear your best outfit. Eat your favorite foods. Literally stop and smell the roses.
Assume best intentions 😌 — This is a personal practice of mine, so maybe it rings true for you too? I know, I know, they had a tone, they said a thing you didn’t like, it sucks to have the mirror held up by a beloved, etc etc etc. But what if they love you and want good things for you? What if they’re human and sometimes say the wrong thing? Obviously this requires context and discernment. I’m definitely not advocating for excusing bad behavior. That said, what might change if you entered into your interactions from a place of good faith?
“You got to use people up the way you find them!” 🍑 — That’s what my Great-Grammy Martha used to say, and she lived to be 94-years-young, so there must be some wisdom to it. What it means is this: While people can change, you can’t change people. We are who we are, until we decide to be someone else. It may be disappointing to find out someone’s not who we want them to be, but tough titties. Have a Fuzzy Navel—Martha’s drink of choice!—and remember we’re all worthy of love, acceptance, and belonging.
Take care of your people 🤗 — First, you must define who your people are. Might I suggest making a bunch of circles and filling in the layers of love in your life? Who are the closest to you, and what does service mean in the everyday? Who’s in your neighborhood, and what would generosity look like to them? What are the larger communities or groups you belong to, and how can you be more present and active in them? Don’t forget the land you live on and the spirits who surround you!
Take stock of your garden 🌱 — In a similar fashion, make a map of the garden of your life. We all live in a lovely pie chart of ever-shifting priorities, desires and responsibilities, so yours might look totally different than it did this time last year, or even last month. What’s growing? What needs to be weeded out? What made for a ripe harvest before, but is now overgrown? You may always start the work of tending to your own plot, but you could also just spend all month map-making. Whatever feels good and rich to you!
Be gay, do crimes 🌈 — ICYMI, Robin Hood is queer. Sure, he loved Maid Marian, but he also hung out in the forest with a bunch of merry men… You do the math. He was also an outlaw, famously stealing from the rich to give to the poor. An amazing role model for another unbalanced moment in history… If you want to read further about gay crimes, check out Carter Smith’s DIRTY LITTLE FRIDAYS, which is NSFW but is incredibly sexy, dark, and informative! And if you need help disobeying, Meg Jones Wall has a couple of juicy resources for becoming more comfortable with going against the grain, and finding your role in the resistance.

NOTABLE NUMEROLOGY IN JUNE
Photo by Anne Nygård on UnsplashFULL MOON IN SAGITTARIUS
06/11/2025
6+1+1+2+0+2+5 = 17/8
This is our second full moon in a row with 17/8 energy! On the full moon in Scorpio on May 12, I wrote, “Find out what makes you feel even the slightest bit better, more hopeful, more comfortable, more empowered, more in touch with pleasure, and do that.” Then, I gave you the option to put yourself to bed if you were out of gas. Unfortunately, this Sagittarius moon is WIDE AWAKE and wants you to be too. If you did the work of last month’s moon, then perhaps you are ready to get in the ring and act from this new place of integration and embodiment. DO IT! WE NEED YOU! But if you’re still figuring out the answers to last month’s questions, it’s time to put the pedal to the metal and figure it out as you go along. Do one thing today to get back into your body and heart, and let that lead you forward.
SUMMER SOLSTICE
06/20/2025
6+2+0+2+0+2+5 = 17/8
Again with the 17/8, okay okay OKAY! Here, on the longest day of the year, spend some time with the bits of you that aren’t too sure about stepping into the spotlight. Why are they more comfy in the shadows? Sometimes, shadow work is the best way to play the game, both in the sense of tilling your own soil and using the whisper network to enact your secret plans. But sometimes, we’re just scared of being seen, and too worried about causing a ruckus to put ourselves out there. Today, the risk is worth the reward. Open the doors to your very being and let the summer sun wash over you and shine brightly on all that’s ready to be illuminated.
NEW MOON IN CANCER
06/25/2025
6+2+5+2+0+2+5 = 22/4
This is the THIRD new moon in a row with 22/4 energy. On the new moon in Taurus, we romanticized the quiet sit spot. The new moon in Gemini told us, If you build it, they will come. Here, on the new moon in Cancer, it’s time to prepare the feast. Four is a number that reminds us there is enough of everything for everyone. It’s a generous energy, but contained: the sound of laughter at the dinner table, the art of splitting the last piece of cheesecake, the safety and support of those in your early pandemic bubble. How can you offer nourishment to those around you? What do you give freely to others that you might enjoy having for your yourself? And what does it mean to be, and have, enough?
I would love to hear from you! Sending you love, comfort and protection in June.
Until next time, just keep swimming!xx, beeJune 8, 2025
Week #24: June 9-15, 2025
Welcome to Week Twenty-four, which will see a gorgeous full moon in Sagittarius and inch us closer to a powerful Summer Solstice.
For the last couple of days, ICE has been raiding communities in Los Angeles County. Last night, President Donald J. Trump announced plans to deploy the National Guard to quell growing protests, despite Governor Newsom’s insistence such a move was “purposefully inflammatory and [would] only escalate tensions.”
It’s nothing new—Americans have a long history of, and a constitutional right to protest injustice and authoritarianism. And yet, it’s another escalation in an already chaotic time to be alive, and an important moment of what we will and will not stand for in our cities, towns, and neighborhoods.
On June 9, expansive Jupiter moves into the nurturing sign of Cancer. “Cancer energy has claws. And community caretaking should, too,” wrote in a recent write-up of this transit. “[A] keyword of this upcoming transit is protection. What is sacred to you? What is inviolable? If you could use your resources to throw a shield around any one group of people, who would it be?”
It’s time for us to answer those questions, and consider the full scope of supportive actions we can take: lighting candles, distributing news, information, and supplies, collecting money for bail funds, joining a protest, donating time, effort, skills, and knowledge to those in need… It all matters.
This is especially potent in a 9 collective year, where every single daily, weekly, and monthly number is amplified. Due to the fact that 9 can essentially be canceled out in any reduction calculation it appears in (truly, try some out, i.e. 1+9 = 10, 1+0 = 1), every core number this year becomes more of itself. Magnified, and polarized. Embodying both sides of the coin at the same time.
Meaning for this week…

Week #24
Photo by kevin laminto on UnsplashTwenty-four is a number of aftermath and artistry. Like the architecture of a museum, cathedral, or library, it builds and holds beautiful, harmonious spaces for us to archive, survive, and thrive.
There are twenty-four hours in a day. Pure gold is twenty-four carats. There were twenty-four episodes in a season of 24, the hit show starring Kiefer Sutherland. But boil it down and twenty-four is simply, six. Meaning we’re in a six-ruled week in an overall six-ruled month. This delightful doubling has much to offer.
This week, it’s time to move past what you inherited or have been taught. It might even be time to move past what you have previously experienced. The world you grew up in no longer exists, and the rules of the game have changed. Grieve as you go, but get to stepping. As Ram Dass said, “You can do it like it’s a great weight on you, or you can do it like it’s part of the dance.”

June 9-15 for Your Yearly CycleTo find your yearly cycle number, add the digits of your month and day of birth to 2025, and reduce until you reach a single digit. For example, the calculation for my birthday of July 7 looks like: 7+7+2+0+2+5 = 23, 2+3 = 5.
Please note that I reduce doubled digit numbers like 11 and 22 to their root numbers when working with yearly cycles, so please calculate and read accordingly.

Week #23: June 2-8, 2025
Welcome to Week Twenty-three. It’s June! Do you feel the surge of energy this season brings? There’s so much to participate in, and so much to celebrate! And such an odd and auspicious number to engage with…
Perhaps you’d like to get a late start on Jami Attenberg’s 1000 Words of Summer, which kicked off on Saturday May 31st. (Technically, this weekly offering was my entry for the day!) Or maybe you’re right on time for Meg Jones Wall’s Tarot & Tropes challenge, which is getting going today, Sunday, June 1st. (Mine will be up soon on Instagram and Tumblr!) Find something and have some fun. PLEASE!
There’s no time like the present in this 9 collective year, where every single daily, weekly, and monthly number is amplified.

Week #23
Photo by Mike Von on UnsplashTwenty-three is a number of discord and devilry. It’s been described as lucky, unlucky, sinister, strange, sacred, unholy, and like… who amongst us, right?
Mathematically speaking, the number twenty-three has a long list of associations. I understand very little of them, but encourage those with more robust math brains than mine to do a little digging! It also appears throughout culture, myth, ritual, media and religion. The 23 enigma, which Robert Anton Wilson recalls hearing about from author William S Burroughs, names the phenomenon or preternatural significance to the number. After all, it does have a little something extra, don’t you think? Just ask Michael Jordan, David Beckham, or Lebron James.
This week, I want you to operate as if you, and everything around you, are synchronized and synergistic. For better; for worse. There is a greater game at play, but whether or not you control the board is not the objective. You must simply marvel and be marvelous without marching towards madness… Conspiracy, chaos and creation are yours for the taking. The play-making! The mind-bending-and-breaking! The only way out is through.

May 30, 2025
Here, at the end of May
I had a three-hour video hang with Meg Jones Wall yesterday that healed parts of my being, during which I shared that my current vibe is: doing a lot, but not having anything real to show for myself.
Now dearest reader, you may be thinking, isn’t bee going through chemotherapy for a rare form of Hodgkins lymphoma? Yes! You might also be thinking, isn’t her wife also going through chemotherapy for breast cancer? Also yes! (If you didn’t know, now you know! We love you!)
And yet, here we are. Yesterday, my bald head looked at my wife’s bald head and said, in earnest, “I really need to put some words on the page tomorrow.” To which she said, chuckling, “Okay, babe.”
What I mean is that Gremlin Mode May got me—especially after Saturn moved from the vast oceans of my Piscean 4H to the spitfires of my Mars-ruled 5H—and while I did start my junk journal, pull tarot cards for the first time since the new year, take a bath for the first time since last fall (stayed in it, but was not ready and will not repeat any time soon), and navigated some of life’s hardest and most painful circumstances with courage, grace, calm, and care, I did not finish the June 2025 newsletter I’d intended to send out today.
The good news is CALL YOUR COVEN’s got the early birds covered! JUNE 2025: THE OUTLAW TAKES THEIR PLACE is out now on all platforms! It’s a fucking banger, if I do say so myself, and also the only time my thinning Leonardo DiCaprio hair will grace your YouTube screen. Enjoy! xx
Earlier this week, I read a post on Instagram by Sarah Corbett of Rowan + Sage® that vulnerably names her current state of burn out and need to step back from her herbalism work.
“Herbs help but they don't fix a society hell bent on burning out neurodivergent & chronically ill people,” she wrote, and can I get an amen? (Amen!)
Her announcement wasn’t made lightly, and I respect the hell out of Sarah for naming another inconvenient truth: When artists, creators, healers, and teachers take a break, people unfollow, cancel their subscriptions, and otherwise withdraw support. Despite a creator’s often enormous library or catalogue of work, without the promise of shiny, new things, as Sarah observes, they seem to hold little value.
So here, at the end of May, a truly chaotic month of disruption, redirection, the messy middle, and Gemini gremlins, instead of beating myself up for what I didn’t finish, I’m going to pivot, park, and peek in the rearview. Spend some time with all of the things I/we did do in May. Celebrate our wins, and acknowledge our works-in-progress. Actually answer the reflection questions we’ve been avoiding all month. Breathe for a moment—here, now—before we move forward.
The internet moves quickly, but we don’t have to. We’ll deal with June in June.

Five Things My Friends Made in MayTarot In Other Words: An Essential Anthology by Leading Queer Tarot Writers, edited by Cassandra Snow, came out at the beginning of the month! Have you snagged your copy yet? I did contribute an essay, and am therefore biased, but it also features the incredible work of Asali Earthwork, , Maria the Arcane, , Junauda Petrus, Siri Vincent Plouff, Taylor Ursula, and Meg Jones Wall.
Speaking of badass book releases - Charlie Claire Burgess’s latest just hit shelves! Queer Devotion: Spirituality Beyond the Binary in Myth, Story, and Practice is a vital, gorgeous, expansive work and I am chomping at the bit for my copy to arrive. However, I did have the honor of blurbing it, so I can say with pride and pleasure that it’s amazing!
My Call Your Coven co-host and the brilliant just released a joint, 4-hour lecture called Creativity Through the Houses that walks through all 12 houses of the birth chart through the lens of a creative practice. I’m treating myself to it this weekend, and you should too!
Speaking of podcast co-hosts, Meg Jones Wall is an incredibly prolific creator who is always making amazing things! May brought Cards of Courage, four weeks of journaling prompts, new spreads, and simple exercises, Rebel Hearts, a downloadable digital tarot spread collection that’s available for purchase or free with proof of pre-order of Tarot Spreads: How to Read Them, Create Them, and Revise Them (out July 7), plus the free, upcoming challenge Tarot and Tropes, twelve days of two-card tarot spreads inspired by twelve different romance tropes! I can’t wait to participate on Instagram and Tumblr!
A new friend and fellow Landscaper, Lexi Mire released a new collection of handcrafted Daily Tarot Card Displays, felt wall hangings intentionally designed to display tarot, oracle and affirmation cards. They’re so incredible and unique and of course the ones I love the most are sold out. But have no fear, there are plenty of delicious options to choose from!

THE LUSTY MONTH OF MAYMAY ON SITS 🥣Two free articles were published in May! (Three, if you include this one.)
Paid pals also received a Sunday serving of Food for Thought for Weeks #19-22, featuring memes from the ascetical algorithm, Mary Oliver excerpts, pulls from THE ORACLE OF REWILDING, and new thoughts on the numerological archetypes! And we had some great chats about yearly cycles in The Soup™ server!
The below questions are from the May newsletter! How many have you answered?
In what ways you are currently undergoing an alchemical transformation?
How have you grown or changed since the beginning of the year?
What bardo states are you still stuck in and cycling through?
What creative actions could you take to break free from whatever is binding you?
How could a particular artistic movement or practice offer your liberation some flair?
Five Things I Loved Making or Consuming in MayThe half-edited YouTube vlog I made while my hair was falling out. It’s half harrowing health journey, half hat collection fashion show. I promise it’ll soon see a screen near you. It just needs some light editing! And for my next trick, I’ll tell you all about my treatments while I open mailed medical bills!
First Time Caller by B.K. Borison - This Sleepless In Seattle re-imagining is full of fun banter, swoony chemistry, and a spicy scene that actually made me sweat! It was so cozy and lovely, and the next book in the series—And Now, Back to You, a take on When Harry Met Sally—was just announced!
The zodiac moodboards I made for my trio of romance novels! If I ever mention being bored to anyone ever again, y’all have the right to call me out and point me back towards my Scrivener doc. But seriously, I love all of my pairings so freaking much, and one day I will release a list of all of the silly, little character traits and plot points I gleaned from memes!
Overcompensating from A24/Prime - Comedian Benito Skinner’s debut series is a delightful glimspe at millenials in college. At least I think? I’m truly not sure what timeline this show lives in except for the timeline of my 90s baby dreams!! Come for the opening montage set to Britney’s “Lucky,” and stay for the talking Megan Fox poster of everyone’s Jennifer’s Body-era teenage dream!
Two brand-new ways to reach me! If you’re still reading, you deserve a little treat. So please be the first to know that I have a) made a public tumblr for the first time in my whole life, and b) have a new P.O. Box! I’m so excited to use them both in different, but highly creative ways. And if you’ve been wanting to send anything my way—love letters, gifts, glitter bombs (kidding, please don’t treat the USPS like that!)—here’s your chance! I might just send you something back!

Week #22: May 26-June 1, 2025
Welcome to Week 22, which will see us through May and into June—a whole shift through the messy middle of the year, and into a breath of fresh air!
There will be a separate newsletter on June, to come on or around the first of the moth, but for now, bask in the flirtatious glory that is May in Gemini season, and check back in with our May 2025 forecast—how is your junk journal coming along? Mine is way more conceptual than I thought it would be at this stage, but I do have an amazing collection of things to add to it when the moment is right.
We are moving right along in this 9 collective year, where every single daily, weekly, and monthly number is amplified. Due to the fact that 9 can essentially be canceled out in any reduction calculation it appears in (truly, try some out, i.e. 1+9 = 10, 1+0 = 1), every core number this year becomes more of itself. Twenty-two is a number of mastery, miracles, and building structures, systems, and solidarity through relationship and connection.
As I wrote in The Witch’s Book of Numbers: Enhance Your Witchcraft with Numerology, twenty-two is poetry meeting form. There are twenty-two cards in the tarot’s Major Arcana, twenty-two letters in the Hebrew alphabet, and twenty-two paths on the Kabbalistic Tree of Life. The atomic number of titanium is 22. It’s the proportion of Leonardo da Vinci’s Vitruvian Man. It’s art, it’s science, it’s sacred geometry, it’s sex.
This week, keep in mind the Sarah Lewis quote at the beginning of the chapter on Master Numbers, which I’m now calling Doubled Digits: “Masters are not experts because they take a subject to its conceptual end. They are masters because they realize that there isn’t one. On utterly smooth ground, the path from aim to attainment is in the permanent future.”

Welcome to week twenty-one! We Fools have journeyed from The Magician to The World, and by this week’s end, we’ll be in ready to begin again. Again.
I had this whole plan for us to observe different iterations of The World cards, but today’s mail delivered me THE ORACLE OF REWILDING: Pathways to Renewing Our Kinship with All Things, a new deck by Alexandra Eldridge with guidebook by Sherry Salman, and it’s so freaking gorgeous and magical, I immediately changed course. So this week’s on the house!
Thank you to Weiser Books for giving us a sneak peek, and be sure to pre-order your copy before it’s pub date of June 2! The artwork is beautiful and weird, and the food for thought shared below is a mere snippet of what the guidebook has to offer. I’m already know I’m going to learn so much by using this deck!

Photo by Pieter van de Sande on UnsplashTwenty-one is a number of journey’s end, pomp and circumstance, and speaking truth to power. It’s a rallying cry, and an opportunity to use your hard-won moment in the spotlight to shed light on what’s important, like NYU student Logan Rozos did when he denounced the genocide in Gaza in his graduation speech. It’s a risk—his diploma is currently being withheld by the university.
In Week 17, I wrote about watching Lord of the Rings with my buds. Well, we finished last week, and the ending wrecked us all. “How do you pick up the threads of an old life?” Frodo asks, after being freed from the grasp of the ring, and returning to the Shire. “How do you go on, when in your heart you begin to understand... there is no going back? There are some things that time cannot mend. Some hurts that go too deep, that have taken hold.” It takes courage to name those truths, and even more to grapple with life’s largest conundrums.
This week, get clear on your reasons to stay alive. Consider where you’re still carrying the weight of old wounds, and offer those aches as much grace and tending as you can. Take a deep breath and stand in the present moment. What makes your heart race? What twists your stomach? What do you want to fight for? What do you want to say, and to whom? Tell me, what is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?

For example, the calculation for my birthday of July 7 looks like: 7+7+2+0+2+5 = 23, 2+3 = 5.
Please note that I reduce doubled digit numbers like 11 and 22 to their root numbers when working with yearly cycles, so please calculate and read accordingly.
1This week’s forecasts are excerpted from the guidebook to THE ORACLE OF REWILDING, written by Sherry Salman, a psychoanalyst, teacher, and internationally recognized author and speaker. Her area of expertise is symbolism and the creative imagination in postmodern culture and psychological life.
DESIRE | All hail the great god Pan.
2Cultivate and safeguard your desires as you would a babe in the woods. Consider how it would be to act on them, or maybe to just allow yourself, as Jung put it, to be “decently unconscious.” Only you can do this. Only you can keep the winding pathways between desire, conscience, and community open. It may be frightening at first; extreme passions can truly dissolve everything—for good and ill. And yet, while caution may be warranted, there is often a method in the madness of desire, a primal urge towards life and manifestation.
HUNGER | Surrender to the call of the wild.
3What am I actually hungry for? What do you really need to survive and thrive so that you can nurture yourself and those around you? What feels frightening or embarrassing about your hunger? …A shapeshift into wolf allows our fear of the wild to become the call of the wild, as we listen and surrender to a brave and sure-footed intelligence which knows that hunger satisfied is a path toward independence and freedom.
ANCESTORS | A link to the past, a bridge to the future.
4It may be time to follow your ancestral call. To a certain extent, our family and social milieu influence our actions. But it is easy to get caught in the bubbles of our personal history, forgetting that these are only moments in time. They will burst and float away. Let them. Here, we are invited to be guided by a larger inheritance. Like a deer, move gently, but swiftly. Join the lineage of deer women by protecting what is deserving of life…
REVIVAL | Not all those who wander are lost.
5Death can feel like an inescapable and utter loss. Grief and memory are persistent. Some losses are so profound they become a part of what we are. However, sinking into mourning is necessary, it is part of the blackening. Even while feeling bereaved, inert and alone, moldering in the grave or wandering aimlessly, we are not lost… [T]he raven’s head has more to teach us about the meanings that may be born in suffering. So grieve until grief is done with you.
GROUNDING | I sing the body electric.
6[S]omething very special may be on its way. Be prepared to bring it to ground, so that rather than being blown away, you can embrace it and be changed by it. To ground yourself, start by being conscious of all beings and events happening right around you, making sure that you and they are safe. Sometimes a ritual for receiving and containing energy helps… Watch and wait. And as you wait, stay humble.
DOUBLE VISION | I look both ways.
7To get the knack of double vision, you first need to examine where you are right now. Separating things first is important. Do you tend toward the butterfly [effervescent soul] or the blackbird [darker wisdom]? How do you experience the world, and how do you act? When you know where you are, then switch places. And switch again, and again, and again… [S]tay with it. As you oscillate gently between perspectives, their unity will come into focus and you will be able to be in two (or many) places at the same time.
VULNERABILITY | I can see you.
8Look deeply within. Nature’s plan is revealed there. Follow the trail left by what appears at first to be small, insignificant, or makes you feel vulnerable. This may feel elusive at first, but when your outer sight is occluded, insight will fill the vacuum… {Y]ou will find that allowing your sense of self to grow larger and encompass your vulnerabilities and limitations is the key to good fortune and communion with yourself and with other beings.
ILLUMINATION | I am the light of nature.
9[A] shift from a state of innocence into one of living into what you need for survival may be underway. Something hidden or even shameful will be made visible and clear. This may announce itself first as need or desire, or you may feel the wolf stirring you towards loyalties that you didn’t know you had. It is important to remember that these strong, even frightening, feelings, when carefully interrogated, reveal themselves to be the “light of nature.” Trusting your gut may help.
UNCONDITIONAL LOVE | Bring me a higher love.
[I]t may be time to sacrifice dominance over another in the name of love and aspire to a less conditional way of being in relationship with others. The first step is to admit the self-absorbed conditionality of your loves and distinguish those from healthy boundaries. This is often a humiliating and grisly business… Acknowledge that it takes exceptional courage to love with the “heart of a lion.” It usually does not come easily and may require many days and nights in the jungle…

5/16: The Friday Five
What’s up, swimmers?!
I’m harnessing the overall 3 energy of today, 05/16/2025, to pop out of an intense Summer House and Southern Charm hobbit hole—two shows I will NOT be recommending today, this is more of a sacred confession between close friends—and write some words to you! That being said, I think I am dumber than before I started binging the above, so we’re starting off slow with a long-overdue favorite: The Friday Five!
If you’re newer around these parts, on Fridays, we talk about what’s getting us through the week! And 2025 continues to shock and awe, so these quick lists are like group therapy. Together, we will curate, cope, and continue!

THE FRIDAY FIVE 🖐️Here’s what’s gotten me through this wacky week:
SMUT CLUB — The internet’s hottest (secret, so-far) club is SMUT CLUB, a monthly, donation-based, virtual offering, hosted by me - bee, with a percentage redistributed to the Sex Workers Outreach Project, Los Angeles (SWOP LA) or other aligned actions, mutual aid funds, or organizations. We’ve had three meetings so far, and we are gearing up for a really smutty summer! Save the dates for June 19th and July 17th! Prompts, practices, and playlists are offered, as well as recommendations for spicy reads! And as long as everyone's cool about it, there will continue to be instructions for remaining camera-off or anonymous sent with the meeting link. There is also a fun and feral Discord server, for those who (come to at least one meeting and) want an extension of the club! Fill out the below form to get on the list!
Ellipsus — Ever since G**gle started scanning Docs, suppressing writers, and selling us out to AI, I’ve been looking for another place to host drafts I want share with betas or cheer-readers! No writing software is perfect, but Ellipsus has been ticking some boxes for me. It’s free to use and has a clear anti-generative AI stance, and is made by nerds, for nerds, with an emphasis on fic writing—I haven’t used it myself, but they even export to AO3—but geared towards all kinds of collaborative creativity. And you can share links to your documents for people without an account to read/view, so depending on your needs, not everyone on your “team” has to make the platform switch! I’d love to talk to some other Ellipsus users, so if that’s you, leave me a comment.
A Two-fer: Becoming My Childhood Crush & My Creative Laboratory — On Call Your Coven, we have a saying: OUR JOYS ARE FEW! But optimism is just in my nature, so I’m trying to make the most of my current shit sandwich by really leaning into joy where it’s available. First, by cutting my hair to look like my childhood crush: 90’s Leo DiCaprio (Devon Sawa, a Hanson brother, etc.) before The Big Shed. Can’t wait to emulate a similar-era’d Meg Ryan if it grows back curly after chemo! Of course my hair, and Stacey’s, have been added to my altar (which I now think might be more of a shrine to Hekate?), which has revived my most magical room. As far as the IRS is concerned, I have a home office. But between us, what I really have is a creative laboratory. All of my babies, pups, books and WIPs (works-in-progress), hang out in there, and it’s doubles as our guest room, so it’s grown into an energetic amalgamation of all that is loving and sacred to me!
Know Your Lucky Numbers: How you can use Numerology to pick the right days to carry out your plans — This 1978 edition of Globe Mini Mag was sent to be my a beloved friend and cherished subscriber, and it’s SO COOL I LOVE IT SO MUCH. The introduction talks about Julius Caeser using numerology successfully in war strategy, which I’d never heard before, and I also loved the archetype names it gave each of the numbers (listed below). It’s rooted in Pythagorean theory, so the calculations were familiar, but it also read me for filth when it said my ideal careers range from circus performer to financial consultant! What a fun time capsule, I can’t wait to work with it more.
1 - The Explorer, 2 - The Partner, 3 - The Creator, 4 - The Builder, 5 - The Writer, 6 - The Instructor, 7 - The Prophet, 8 - The Manager, 9 - The Philosopher
LOOK ABOUT YOU: A Book of Ordinary Prayers by Cody Cook-Parrott — While I may have kept SMUT CLUB under some wraps, it’s no secret that I love the artist and person that is Cody Cook-Parrott. So when a treasured bestie sent me a care package with a gift card, and Cody ran a sale on their newest prayer book, it was clear this was a divine facilitation to bring me my new favorite everyday tool. The prayers are gentle and expansive, and have already brought me easy presence and pleasurable embodiment, which are holy states of being these days. Anyway, grab a copy and snag some stickers while you’re at it! I sure did :)
Here’s a taste: May 16 — Come forth to the page with your worries and fears, your pains and sorrows, your joys and elations. Put these words on the page so you may both forget them and remember them. Shed what is no longer serving you and ask god to replace it with something in better alignment. Amen, you know?
Happy Friday! Let me know what’s gotten you through your week, and/or if you love any of the things I love! <3
Until next time, just keep swimming!xx, beeMay 11, 2025
Week #20: May 12-18, 2025
It’s the twentieth week of the year, the heart of Taurus season. The moon will soon be full in Scorpio. Here, take a beat and a breath.
Twenty weeks, wow. We can look back to Weeks Two and Eleven to track the experience of the number 2 as it’s moving through 9-ruled 2025. What was happening for you during those weeks? Are there any connections between those weeks as it pertains to the things you love and the things you make? Is there a story line playing out, unraveling before your very eyes? Check in with the forecasts for further flavor and fuel.
In a 9 collective year, every single daily, weekly, and monthly number is amplified.

Photo by Eric Prouzet on UnsplashTwenty is a number of reckoning and resurrection. It’s another threshold, another decade, another opportunity to reflect and redirect. Thank goodness.
This is the first number I’ve struggled to write about. Maybe it’s me, maybe it’s judgment. Maybe it’s that two is a number of silence, of breath, of heartbeats and hand-prints. Maybe it’s that I’ve watched multiple seasons of both Summer House and Southern Charm in the span of a couple of weeks, and my brain has turned to mush. Maybe it’s because this upcoming lunation is lighting up my 12th House of what’s unseen, unacknowledged and unprocessed. Maybe it’s something else.
This week could have us feeling exposed and exhausted. Do what feels good and right for you. Do what gets you through the day, the week, and the underworld. If you’re feeling renewed, lean into your newest sense of self and rock on! But there’s no shame in this game if you’re cocooning or escaping or surviving.
