Things I Liked In March 2025

March has been a crazy and stressful month so I’m glad it’s coming to an end. Honestly, the next two months will probably be quite stressful for me so I’m just going to take it day by day until we get to June. I’m hopefully going to be doing some fun traveling this summer, so I’ve got that to look forward to. I’ve been thinking of going to Scotland but plane tickets are ridiculously expensive. In any case, some travel is in my near future!

This month saw the release of my latest book, “The De...

Writing Update: March 2025

March has proven to be quite a busy writing month for me! I spent the first part of the month (and a big chunk of February) getting everything together for the release of my latest book, “The Dead are Coming.” I really want to thank everyone who bought the book so far. It was oddly a successful launch (by my standards!). I wasn’t expecting it, but I’m very grateful.

So lately, I’ve been working on a few different projects, which are in various stages of completion. About mid-month every month...

“The Dead are Coming,” a paranormal fantasy, is out now!

Well, today’s the big day! The Dead are Coming” is now available as an ebook or paperback, and is also available in Kindle Unlimited.

This is my first attempt at writing something a little spookier. It’s still ridiculous and goofy, of course, but it’s also hopefully a little bit scary. I don’t think you’ll have trouble sleeping after you read it, but you might want to keep the lights on.

Haunted by the recent murder of his father, paranormal investigator Mateo Álvarez-Moreno return...

Things I Liked In February 2025

February sure turned out to be a bit of a chaotic month, huh? (At least in my area of the world!) The world is a crazier place nowadays and I’m trying very hard to focus on the good that still occurs so that I don’t get burnt out/overwhelmed. It’s hard to do sometimes, though.

I had a big birthday this month. Normally, a birthday like this would send me into a tailspin because getting older can be scary. But I want to be positive about it because I am getting older and it’s a privilege that n...

Announcing My New Book, “The Dead are Coming”

I’m so excited to announce that my new book, “The Dead are Coming,” is coming! And you don’t have to wait long to read it. On Monday, March 10, 2025, the third book in “The Álvarez-Moreno Files” series will be released. You can preorder the ebook now for only $0.99 (or your country’s equivalent), and the paperback will be available on release day (hopefully – I’m having some trouble with KDP at the moment, so I might need to reach out to my cover designer for a fix). Check out the cover and blur...

Things I Liked In January 2025

How’s January, the seemingly endless month, treated you? Are you as glad as I am that we’re headed into February now? Where I am, February tends to still be cold and dreary but, hey, we’re inching closer and closer to spring weather!

I know New Year’s Eve was a month ago but I didn’t get to share what I did to celebrate. It was kind of a last minute trip considering I like to plan things well in advance, but I spent New Year’s in Las Vegas. As seems to be the trend for me, I was pretty sick d...

Writing Goals for 2025

Every year I like to set goals for myself to help keep me on track. They’re nothing crazy, nothing I wasn’t already planning on doing, but I like to write them out to hold myself accountable. Every year I also like to look at the previous year’s goals to see if I met them. So let’s get started!

Last Year’s GoalsTo release “Red Flags” on February 5 and try out some new marketing tactics (such as, unfortunately, utilizing social media a little more). ...

Things I Liked In December 2024 (and for the year!)

Happy (almost) New Year! And what a year it’s been. I’ve certainly had my share of good things happen but, overall, it’s been kind of a frustrating 365 days (wait, there was an extra frustrating day since it was a leap year…so 366). But, even still, I’m hopeful that 2025 will be excellent! I have a big birthday coming up and I want to do a lot of traveling throughout the year to celebrate. There are a lot of fun plans I have for the year, and I’ll discuss more of that in another post shortly.

Things I Liked In November 2024

Well, November hasn’t really been my month. Whether it’s been things going on at work or home or things going on in the world, it’s been a little bit of a tough time for me. I’ll be honest and say that the US election results did not go the way I hoped they would, so there’s this mounting stress of what the next four years (at least) might look like. While I understand it takes a fair bit of privilege to say this, I’ve been able to avoid most news for the last month, which has kind of helped. I’...

Things I Liked In October 2024

Happy Halloween!! Hot take here, but I never really liked Halloween as a kid because I hated dressing up in a costume and going trick-or-treating. There was something about going to strangers’ houses and asking them for candy that just did not vibe with my introverted young self. But nowadays? Well, I still don’t like any of that. What I do love is the changing season, the candy I can buy myself, and watching scary movies in the dark. What about you? What are some of your favorite Halloween trad...
