January 2025 Newsletter
Happy New Year, dear readers!
As the calendar turns to a fresh page, I can’t help but feel a renewed sense of hope and excitement for the year ahead. 2025 is here, and with it comes new opportunities, new stories, and new ways to connect with all of you. This year is shaping up to be an exciting one for my writing. I can’t wait to share more about my upcoming releases, including Her Amish Refuge in April 2025. Florene’s story is especially close to my heart, and I hope she will find a special place in yours, too. I’m also waiting for news from my editor on Evan Miller’s story, so cross your fingers that I’ll have a release date on the 5th Burr Oak, TX title soon! I know life gets busy—trust me, I feel it, too! To make things a little easier, I’ll be switching to a less restrictive newsletter schedule this year. I’ll still pop in occasionally — just enough to keep you in the loop without adding to your busy inbox. For those who want to stay more connected, I invite you to subscribe to my blog. I’ll be posting live news as it happens, giving you the latest updates in real-time, along with chat schedules, giveaways on social media and updates on new books. It’s a great way to stay in touch and get even more behind-the-scenes glimpses into my writing world.

Happy holidays and warm blessings to all!
Did you know that the song Silent Night was first performed on Christmas Eve in 1818? Written by an Austrian priest, Father Joseph Mohr, and composed by Franz Xaver Gruber, it was originally accompanied by a guitar due to the church organ being broken. Today, this beloved carol is sung in over 300 languages, a timeless reminder of peace and joy during the holiday season.
As we prepare for this special time of year, I’m thrilled to share some exciting updates! The Sheriff’s Amish Return is now in the hands of my editor, and I’m anxiously awaiting her thoughts. It’s always nerve-wracking waiting for feedback, but I’m hopeful that this story will resonate with her as much as it did with me.
While I’m sad to say goodbye (for now) to the Burr Oak series, I’m excited to return to my Humble Blessings books. My current work-in-progress is An Unexpected Amish Blessing, which tells the story of Elam Mueller and Anika Glick.
Here’s a little peek at the story:
After a street racing accident leaves a young Amish boy injured, Elam Mueller’s reckless behavior comes back to haunt him. Stripped of his driver’s license and sentenced to community service, Elam must help Anika Glick care for her injured sibling. Struggling with agoraphobia brought on by past trauma, Anika’s world is confined to her home. As Elam works to rebuild their trust and his faith, he finds himself drawn to Anika’s quiet strength. But will the secrets they both carry keep them apart, or can they find the courage to embrace a future together?
I’m having so much fun writing this story and can’t wait to share more details!
First, congratulations to Marcia Bowers

November 2024 Newsletter
Did you know November was once the ninth month in the ancient Roman calendar? The name “November” even comes from the Latin word novem, meaning “nine.” It wasn’t until later that January and February were added, bumping November to its current spot as the eleventh month!
Now that we’re diving into the cozy days of fall, I’m excited to share some fantastic news! The Sheriff’s Amish Return is officially complete and will be on its way to my editor shortly. After many hours (and cups of coffee!), Evan and Isla’s story has come to life. I can’t wait for you to experience their journey, filled with faith, healing, and suspense. Keep an eye out for future updates on its release date!
Speaking of new books, Florene’s story, Her Amish Refuge, is all set to release in May 2025!

This book has a special place in my heart, as it’s a unique Amish spin on Beauty and the Beast. Florene Schroder, now pregnant and alone, is caught in a blizzard and stumbles upon an unexpected sanctuary—a quiet Amish farm. Little does she know that her rescuer is Gil Kestler, a gentle giant from her past community. As they brave the storm together, they’ll find that maybe, just maybe, there’s hope for them both to find love again.
I hope you’ll be as drawn to Florene and Gil’s story as I was while writing it. It’s all about second chances and finding warmth after the coldest times of life.
You can grab Her Amish Refuge here! Now, on to the fun things! First, congratulations to Anita Yancey

is now available for pre-order? Why pre-order a book? Preordering a book is one of the best ways to support an author! When readers preorder, it helps generate early buzz and can contribute to a book’s visibility in stores and online platforms. Preorders are typically counted toward the first week of sales, which boosts the book’s chances of hitting bestseller lists and getting more attention from retailers. In short, preordering signals strong demand, helping the author’s career and increasing the chances of their book being widely stocked and promoted! Every preorder makes a big difference. September 2024 Newsletter
Greetings, dear readers!
Did you know that in the Northern Hemisphere, September marks the start of fall, with cooler temperatures and beautiful foliage. In the Southern Hemisphere, it’s the beginning of spring! The Autumn Equinox usually occurs around September 22 or 23, which is when the day and night are approximately equal in length. Finally, September is also a great month for book lovers because it’s “National Literacy Month” in the U.S., highlighting the importance of reading and education.
As we dive into the beginning of cooler weather, I hope you’re enjoying the first signs of fall. After the intense heat of summer, it’s such a relief to feel the breeze and crispness in the air. I’m always a fan of this transitional period—it’s like a fresh start, a chance to rejuvenate before the year’s end.
Speaking of fresh starts and excitement, I’m beyond thrilled to give you a sneak peek into my 2025 release, Her Amish Refuge (Texas Amish Brides #4)! Imagine this: a fierce blizzard, a pregnant woman desperate for help, and a heartwarming sanctuary that offers more than just shelter. Florene Schroder, a former Amish woman, stumbles into the life of Gil Kestler, a kind-hearted giant who just so happens to be from the community she left behind. As they hunker down together in the midst of a snowstorm, their fractured hearts start to mend and spark something neither of them expected.
With secrets lurking and snow beginning to melt, will they find the courage to embrace the love that’s blossoming between them? Mark your calendars for May 2025 because this story of love, faith, and second chances is one you won’t want to miss!
Excited? Get a peek at the cover and read chapter 1 now!

It’s been fun sharing, but it’s time for me to get back into writing The Sheriff’s Amish Return. I must admit, the transition from summer’s heat to the cool fall air has sparked a new wave of creativity. The characters are stirring up some mischief, and I’m excited to share their journey with you.
