Glamorous Romance Author Life
Well, things have been busy around the farm. I don't have much of a writing update for you because I've been tidying up my Etsy shop so it runs smoothly in the background when I re-focus on writing.
Life on the farm has been full of interesting things. Last week I sat down in a pile of hay to play with the baby goats for a little while. It took a moment for me to realize that I'd accidentally sat in goat-pee-soaked hay. LOL! So, I had to stay with them until they were finished eating...wearing goat-pee-soaked pants. I felt disgusting! LOL!
And last night, the water heater's life came to an end. So, no hot water. And, there was propane leaking into the house. I was a little nauseous and dizzy, but everything got squared away. Today is filled with removing the old water heater and replacing it with a new one. Quite a task. I'll post a video on social media in a little while.
For those who have water heaters in your garages, be very grateful it's not in the basement of an 1817 farmhouse with low ceilings and narrow stairwells...and additional steps up and down between rooms. This romance author is getting a second workout in today. ;-)

Ahhh!! I received back my proofed copy of Kiss Away Your Pain!!! I'm spending the next few days doing a couple final read throughs and then it's off to the formatter!!

It's Happening!
Well, I didn't expect this at all, but it's happening. As soon as I started writing the bonus epilogue for Kiss Away Your Pain, more scenes started flooding my mind.
I told myself I'd wait to see what the readers thought, but I can't stop the scenes that are flowing in, so...my original standalone story of Someone Exactly Like Me is now turning into a 3-book series!!!

Editing, Editing, Editing
My second round of edits for Kiss Away Your Pain is back from my developmental editor so I'll be diving into those this week.
Then it's off to my copy editor followed by my proofreader. I'm in with my formatter for June 20th. Things are moving along!! :-)
As with all my books, I'm excited and nervous.
I had no idea when I wrote Someone Exactly Like Me that my readers would love Candi's character so much that they'd want her story. I'm still blown away in the best way.
If you haven't yet read Someone Exactly Like Me, get it before you read Kiss Away Your Pain. You'll meet Candi and hopefully fall in love with her too.

So Nervous!
Kiss Away Your Pain is with my developmental editor. I'm biting my nails waiting for her feedback.
I’m so nervous about this book! Eeek! 😊
I feel like my writing has improved with each book and I truly hope you feel it. I also think this is my strongest story so far. I really hope you like it. 😊
Things are moving along. I expect to hear back from her by Friday and then I’ll work on the necessary changes to then send it back to her for round two. Then it’ll be on to my copy editor followed by my proofreader. Whew! 😉
While she’s doing her thing, I’ve been doing some minor updates to both Untouchable Zane and Someone Exactly Like Me. One thing I’m doing is updating the playlist for Untouchable Zane for you so I have a song for every chapter!
Quick question for you: Do you look at my book Pinterest boards and listen to the songs on my playlists? Why or why not? I’m so curious to read your answers.
