Daily Meditations of a Nurse Warrior
How can you remain united?
When walls are built and boundaries are created, division and conflict appear, and become very difficult to tear down. One that never chooses division, only unity, is the Lord himself; as He chooses to be humble, selfless and gracious, not arrogant, selfish or unkind. So, might you choose to find ways to avoid separation and work to establish unity with others. Because one day, "He will judge between the nations, and will rebuke many people" (Isaiah 2:4). #FindCommonGround & #Unite

How can you help your children grow?
The time that you have with your children is very brief; and in that time, you have a great responsibility to help them grow. Wanting to also be a part of this significant role is the Lord himself. For He, too, wants to help prepare and grow your children to be well-adjusted in "spirit, soul and body", and "sanctify [them] through and through" (1 Thessalonians 5:23). So, instead of trying to do it all on your own, might you consider another hand that "is faithful" and "will do it" (5:24). #GrowthProducer

Daily Meditations of a Nurse Warrior
Why can you do both, at the same time?
It is very hard to find joy in sorrow, as the pain and heartache can be overwhelming and unbearable. But, ironic enough, joy can be revealed in your sorrow. Ezra offers insight by saying that "no one [can] distinguish the sound of the shouts of joy from the sound of weeping" (3:13), as the Israelites grieved when their temple was destroyed and were uprooted from their home (see 1); and later rejoiced when the temple was rebuilt (see 3:10-11). So, may you, too, find joy in your sorrow, as He will be there for both. #JoyfulSorrow

What needs restored?
Your joy, faith or confidence, whatever it is, He can do it. Noting His ability to do so is Ezekiel. After Israel was defeated, its people became hopeless, due to all of the devastation and affliction (see Lamentations 1). Fortunately, Ezekiel's hope was restored when God directed him to prophesize over dry bones (see Ezekiel 37:3, 7). So, when all seems hopeless or lost, He "will make breath enter you, and you will come to life" (37:5), just as the "bones came together" (37:7). #RestoreWhatNeedsRepaired

How hopeful are you?
Difficult times can cause you to question your faith, maybe even give up or lose hope all together. Despite these trials or shaky times, Habakkuk reminds you when “the fig tree does not bud and there are no grapes on the vine, [when] the olive crop fails and the fields produce no food, [when] there are no sheep in the pen and no cattle in the stalls, [still] rejoice in the LORD, [and] be joyful in God [your] Savior” (3:17–18). So, when times are not so good or fruitful and you begin to question yourself, may you choose to cling to Him. For He will never let you down; because He is always kind and good (see 1:12-13). #HoldOnTight & #NeverLetGo

The only way that you can accomplish what you want to do is through Him; as the Spirit will enable you (see Acts 2:4), in His own way and time. So, instead of trying to do it all on your own, might you put your confidence in The One and let Him take care of the rest. #BeEnabled❤️

How can you achieve greatness?
Greatness will not happen by taking shortcuts, trying to fake it or cheat; but, instead, it will be doing the small things that will reap the benefits. Supporting the small things is Zechariah, as he challenges those "who [dare to] despise the day of the small things" (4:10). So, if greatness is what you strive for, may you continue doing the small things, and grow to be great. #ItsAllInTheDetails & #WorthEveryLittleThing

How will you respond?
Many feel pressure to agree with things they do not believe in and/or is not right, for fear of being fired, slighted or overlooked. Not choosing to succumb to such pressure was Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego. For refusing to worship King Nebuchadnezzar's idol, they were placed in a fiery furnace, but "walking around", "unbound and unharmed", along with another who "[looked] like a son of the gods" (Daniel 3:25). So, when put in an uncomfortable, forced or coerced situation, may you have the courage to stand your ground and stick to what you believe in and is right. For He will be right by your side to help you answer for yourself. #DecideForYourself

There is no separation from the sacred or secular, because of Him; as He is involved in everything you do-eat, sleep, work and play. However, your words and actions dictate every outcome. So, "whatever you do, whether in word or deed", might you "do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus" (Colossians 3:17). For it is He who can and will help guide you through every word and action. #AGoodPrompter
