Daily Meditations of a Nurse Warrior

How well do you treat others?

Arrogance, conceit and pomposity towards others serve no purpose but only to hurt others and most of all yourself. Instead, we are encouraged to "clothe [our]selves with humility" (1 Peter 5:5); and when we do, He "oppresses the proud [and] shows favor to the humble" (5:6). Might you be humble in all that you do and say. #LastingImpressions

How can you fight sin and rebellion?

Not one of us can escape sin, for it is in our nature; and knowing this, we have the ability to fight it off. When we follow His instruction (see Psalm 19:7-10) and ask Him to forgive our hidden faults and keep us from willful sin (see 19:12-13), we can. Might you consider doing so. #WorthTheFight

Where is life taking you?

Life can take you to many different and difficult places; but you have options on how you choose to navigate them. You can either choose to go it alone and turn from God's way (see Deuteronomy 1:42-43), because you doubt His purposes (v. 11); or you can choose His way for "He has watched over your journey...and you have not lacked anything" (2:7). Might you consider letting Him direct your path (see Psalm 119:35) so that you can enjoy the rest of your journey. #ThePathToAGoodLife #JourneyWithHim

Why love?

Love is the cornerstone of all that you do; and if you do so without love you "gain nothing", even "if [you] give all that [you] possess to the poor" (1 Corinthians 13:3). Might you consider filling your actions with love, because when you do your love will always have protection, trust, hope and perseverance (see 13:4-7). #LoveInAllThings

What can you do for your entire family?

You can "believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved--you and your household" (Acts 16:31). There is nothing more special than to be able to provide for your family, especially when it means that each member can be saved; and to know that each family member can be renewed through salvation is a peace of mind like no other. #FamilyMatters

How long are you willing to wait?

Very little, if anything, happens overnight. Things, especially good ones, take time. If you are willing to "be still" (Psalm 46:10) and know that the "Lord Almighty is with [you]" (46:7), always, you will get what you want because He is your strength (see 46:1). May you remain steadfast and faithful and lean on Him, at all times, to help you achieve your goals and dreams. #StrengthInStillness

How well do you know those you talk about?

So much talk goes on between people about others, and some of what is talked about is misconstrued or incorrect. With much talk going on, there is one such person who was curious to know what others thought about Him by asking the question "Who do people say I am?" (Mark 8:27). Many responded differently, due to receiving inaccurate and false information; but Peter responded, correctly, saying "You are the Messiah" (8:29). It is my hope that when we or others talk about another they know who they are speaking about and are truthful in what they say. #SpeakTruthfully

How teachable are you?

We are responsible for everything that we say; and it is the words that we use, spoken as well as unspoken, that determine the opinions of others about you. So, when you choose to speak, might you challenge yourself to be wise and add to your learning, and if discerning, seek guidance (see Proverbs 1:5). I hope that you use your words wisely, learn to listen and continue to grow in your knowledge. #TeachableMoments

How can you set a "good" example for others?

The talents that you are given come with great responsibility; and one of those responsibilities is seeking "the good of others" and not just our "own good" (1 Corinthians 10:24). When you do so, you become a person that others will respect and follow. #BeThatExample

Daily Meditations of a Nurse Warrior

How aware are you of yourself and your surroundings? It is so easy to get wrapped up in our own self that we forget and/or neglect those around us. When this happens, we are reminded, and instructed by God, to look out and “show mercy and compassion to one another” (Zachariah 7:9). Might you become more mindfully aware of others. #SeeingTheBigPicture❤️#ANWAdvocatingForHealthyLivesHomesAndWorkEnvironments
