Yeah, had to spend more of the day…
…making sure the newsletter was finished up in time. Between that and the chapter revisions I ran out of Monday. It happens.

PS: Okay, I lie, I also went outside because it was beautiful out.
04/05/21 Revisions, MORGAN BAROD.
Chapters 7 through 10. The next one is gonna require some serious revision, though: my alpha reader flat-out refused to buy the identity of one character. I’d fight it, except that she’s right, and we both know it. That’s gonna mean a name swap and some text rewrites, but that’s all right. They call them ‘drafts’ for a reason.
Excelsior!

The ‘That’s Not Her’ LOKI trailer.
At 2:06. The hair’s not right. If it is her, it’s from another point in the timeline.

Today is Newsletter Day!
As in, the day I send in the SCA Baronial newsletter. Not a bad task, just time-consuming. It also helps me keep track of what’s going on in the Barony, which is nice, because I sometimes have trouble paying attention to stuff. But there’s always last-minute things to do…

PS: I dunno why I’m telling you this, either. Probably because I spent the morning making sure I didn’t miss anything.

‘Back In Black.’
04/04/21 Snippet, PROCESSING DUTY.
Sherlock and Watson, they ain’t.

“So why me?” Jack asked as we headed to the rooms where we keep the organic stuff. His voice was getting better, although he still had that Midwest rasp from before. “I’m no gumshoe.”
“I ain’t one either, Jack,” I said as I opened one particular door. “But somebody let those damned things out, and since one was stuck on your face I figure it wasn’t you. I wanna make sure I got somebody who won’t sabotage the investigation.”
Jack brightened. “Yeah, Slugger, that makes sense,” he said, although I didn’t care for hearing the surprise in his mouth. I’m big but I ain’t dumb. I made it out of Korea, didn’t I? And it wasn’t just because I could make a BAR sing.
I decided letting it bug me wasn’t real smart, so instead I started calling out into what looked like an empty room. Well, except for all the crates. “Hey! Dizzy! You around?” I didn’t hear anything right away, and that made my fingers twitch for my old BAR, a little. Silly to worry, but when you’re in a room full of things for the Queue, worrying ain’t silly at all.

Finished Chapters 4 through 6. Had to find Chapter 6 first, though, because it was unaccountably visiting Chapter 10 for some reason. Oops…

Happy Easter! He is Risen.
11 Now Mary stood outside the tomb crying. As she wept, she bent over to look into the tomb 12 and saw two angels in white, seated where Jesus’ body had been, one at the head and the other at the foot.
13 They asked her, “Woman, why are you crying?”
“They have taken my Lord away,” she said, “and I don’t know where they have put him.” 14 At this, she turned around and saw Jesus standing there, but she did not realize that it was Jesus.
15 He asked her, “Woman, why are you crying? Who is it you are looking for?”
Thinking he was the gardener, she said, “Sir, if you have carried him away, tell me where you have put him, and I will get him.”
16 Jesus said to her, “Mary.”
She turned toward him and cried out in Aramaic, “Rabboni!” (which means “Teacher”).
17 Jesus said, “Do not hold on to me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father. Go instead to my brothers and tell them, ‘I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.’”
18 Mary Magdalene went to the disciples with the news: “I have seen the Lord!” And she told them that he had said these things to her.
