Took a walk today.
Didn’t do much else, which was kind of the idea. Although I did actually write, a little. And surprisingly, too. Now I’m going to go to bed early, and see what that does.

‘Keep Your Hands to Yourself.’
Keep Your Hands to Yourself, Georgia Satellites

Yeah, I think I’m gonna enjoy the vacation.
I do want to work on the two stories I’ve got on deck this week. I just need to give myself permission to not make it a chore. I’d probably get more done that way.
Expect sporadic posting, and talk amongst yourselves!
Hasbro buys D&D BEYOND for 200 million gold pieces.
Assuming that a gold piece is worth about $74, that is. Your mileage may vary. Besides, I’m not gonna get hung up on the exact conversion rate for a lame joke:
Hasbro recently announced that it is set to acquire D&D Beyond, which is the biggest and most popular digital toolset and game companion for the fantasy adventure franchise Dungeons & Dragons. D&D Beyond has been owned and operated by Fandom since 2019, and they built it up to be the leading role-playing game digital toolset on the market with close to 10 million registered users.
Hasbro will purchase D&D Beyond for $146.3 million in cash, and it will “further strengthen Hasbro’s capabilities in the fast-growing digital tabletop category while also adding veteran talents to the Wizards of the Coast team and accelerating efforts to deliver exceptional experiences for fans across all platforms.”
Hasbro apparently decided that if the royalties were that good, why not just buy out the owners and rake in the cash directly? As for Fandom? Well, presumably they like the idea of owning multiple swimming pools filled with gold pieces. Because now they can have some.
No, I’m not going to confirm those numbers, either. See the previous commentary about willingness to research lame jokes.
Went to the Air & Space Annex today!
Well, they call it the “Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center,” but I’m not calling it that. It’s the place in Virginia with all the cool big aerospace stuff. Which works for me.

I also saw Friendship 7 and the Concorde, but I forgot to get pictures of those. Anyway, we went with the kids, who started out being far too cool for the thing — and ended up snickering about space diapers and being properly revolted over astronaut ice cream. So it was a good time all around. Seriously: if you ever get the chance to go, go. As I said, it has all the BIG stuff, and you can go right up to them and take a good look. Totally worth the trip.

‘Lawyers, Guns, and Money.’
I need to reset this week’s work flow.
Because clearly I’m not generating enough of it. It’s basically a conflicting goals issue; I need the time off, and I also need the time to catch up. Probably I should try isolating out my actual writing goals and trying to put some scheduling rigor on them?
Or something. Or even just blow off the week and not try to get anything done. At least then I’d be taking more naps or something.
The MYTHFORCE gameplay trailer.
First off, I feel that they made a mistake in the title. It should be MYTHFORCE! The exclamation point is key.
Second, the nostalgia pandering may be a little too blatant.
MYTHFORCE will be available only on Epic to start, and they’re doing it in ‘Episodes.’ Which kind of says, ‘Unfinished game!’ to me. I’m not saying I’m going to avoid playing this, but you may want to wait until they polish up the game a bit. Seems… prudent, no?
Still, points for having an archer. Elf was always my favorite Gauntlet character.
Medieval blueberry pie!
Why is it medieval?

Because there’s no sugar in it!
I know, I know: this recipe called for at least 2/3rds of a cup, and I realized about five minutes ago that I had forgotten to add any. I am cheerfully dreading how tart and/or nasty this thing’s gonna taste in two hours. On the bright side? At least I’m cutting my processed sugar intake, right?
Right?
Birb.
Saw this while doing groceries. It didn’t brighten my day, because my day’s been perfectly good, really. The weather’s beautiful and I have a blueberry pie in the oven. But it was still a fine thing to see. I like spring, when it’s finally here.
