Time to finish proofing TINSEL RAIN!
I got started proofing TINSEL RAIN during Balticon, but I couldn’t spend any time on it. My plan tomorrow and Friday is to spend time on it. And, once it’s done, I can finally hit publish on the paperback and we can start the next step. Huzzah!
Yeah, not exciting, I know. First of the month is always kind of slow for me. I’ve got the whole month to get stuff done, you see. Even though that’s a mirage.

The Advocatur Seeger, Frick & Partner law firm of Liechtenstein: steady, and chill.
A little background: a bit back this Tweet made the rounds.
This is by far the funniest law book out there pic.twitter.com/zWYOAsMIOM

Well. Now I need a copy, obviously. So I emailed Advocatur Seeger, Frick & Partner AG to find out if they had any more copies of Liechtenstein Maritime Law, and they have just emailed me back! They’re printing more copies, and will send them out, but I’ll likely have to pay shipping. I’ve already replied, letting them know that I have no problem paying at list the per-book printing cost (you get sensitive to that, when you self-publish), so my actually getting this is looking like it might be possible.
They have also hinted that they’d be happy to take my business, should I ever require the services of a Liechtenstein-based law firm. I genuinely respect that: it’s the kind of respectful and proactive hustling that I’d actually want to see in a prospective law firm. Always be closing, right?
June is here! Huzzah!
June is my favorite month. Hot, but not crazy-stupid-hot. Well, today is gonna be crazy-stupid-hot, but the rest of the week is gonna be in the low eighties. Which is my idea of good, summer weather. Plus, everything green is still fresh. Plenty of sunshine, too.
Now I just gotta plot out my schedule for the month. Need to check off some projects…

‘Spanish Ladies.’
The ‘So, how did you solve the Uncanny Valley problem?’ live-action PINOCCHIO trailer.
It’s fascinating. I’m not entirely certain they showed Pinocchio moving at any point during this trailer. Maybe he’s in that crowd of kids about to go down the down-plank. Maybe.
Gotta wonder why there’s no scenes of the golem carved to resemble a human boy moving around the town – no, wait, I know why. It’s because they made that movie already, and it was called EDWARD SCISSORHANDS. …And no, I don’t know why this particular live-action adaptation is making me salty. It’s just a movie, right?

The FALLOUT: LONDON Fan Mod trailer.
Fan mods of this level of sophistication never seem to get off the ground, alas. Still: I’d play a professional version of FALLOUT: LONDON. I also give them points for using vanilla resources whenever possible. That can seriously extend development time.
In the Mail: Call of Cthulhu Classic.
The real Old School stuff, via Kickstarter. I especially liked the map, which is a lot larger than I expected. Good stuff, good stuff, I should’ve sprung for the HPLHS props.

The May Patreon entries!
Putting it up before I go back to bed. I made the mistake of buying the strawberry milk of my childhood. Apparently, my childhood had a remarkably cavalier attitude towards the mixture of whole milk, and whatever witch’s brew they use to get the strawberry flavor…
Short story: Scenes From the End of Project 23-175 . Hey, science fiction! Sorta. The unspoken implications are a huge part of the plot. I am legitimately curious as to whether it all works.RPG: Ashes of Empire, Part 5a: The Useless Lands . I wanted to do a map, but then I realized I needed to do prep work first. This is half the prep work.
The SONIC THE HEDGEHOG 2 Honest Trailer.
It’s… it’s just such a weird franchise. Mostly because SONIC THE HEDGEHOG 2 should have absolutely sucked. Video game movie, right? But the kids loved it, and I didn’t mind it, and the bits with the chaos wedding were pretty damned funny. Natasha Rothwell absolutely sold me on her character being one fraying thread of self-control away from burning the entire resort down to bedrock.
I mean, Sonic’s not deep cinema, but it wasn’t bad.
